NO. my math teacher told us to use this on our math competition, and it is way faster and it is easy to master. Since for the normal way you have to multiply one by one then add and regroup sometimes. As for this method you deal with smaller numbers and the numbers you regroup, add, and multiply are smaller ao it is easier.
