If you actually watch his videos you would know that setting fires with invisible layers isn't practical because of the inverse Square law and how lasers get half as strong at over 2 times a distance

I love my IR laser. I use it to illuminate distant places in combination with my night vision goggles.
IR lasers are super dangerous if you play around with people around because it does the same damage as a visible range laser except you can’t see it. I’m not hating Just be careful

look at the video of the lasers over Hawaii, they are visible green lasers for scanning the topography of the earth.
If you wanted to start a fire with a laser you can't sweep it over the surface at many thousands of miles an hour. It would be kept on a spot in order to build heat and combust the trees. And you would use an infrared laser, not a green one, to conceal it's origins
If this was intentional it would have been done by the US DOD, who was trying to acquire that land. And they would likely start the fires the old-fashioned way. There is no proof it was anything but a natural fire.

Depends on how powerful they are. He experiments alot with lasers so he has probably checked the power rating on them. It also looked like the paper the IR laser ignited was flashpaper, meaning that even that one doesn't have to be especially powerful

Most lasers don’t kill you if you aren’t properly protected from them, they just p e r m a n e n t l y b l i n d you. The sheer energy required to make a laser that instantly sets you on fire is insane, they are the size of rooms and make a ton of noise.

I would assume that you only wear goggles specified for the wavelength of light you're working with. Say, if you're working with a red laser, you would wear goggles that absorb red light, and if you're working with a green laser, you wear green absorbent goggles.

Cheap cameras can actually capture infrared light. I used to use the cameras on my flip phone to see if a tv remote was working.

Most cameras can. They just have a filter that blocks it. If you take this filter out you can make your camera see ultraviolet or infrared light with different filters.
