Although normally ferrofluid is made with oil so not likely. Maybe the iron powder becomes permanently magnetized?
Some of these may be fake because 2:04 is 100% fake. Mark Roger made a video on it. That phone is too big for the small motor, And the left side of the lake is frozen. So some other things on list may be fake too!
