I wouldn't even bother even talking a glimpse at these because they have no noise cancelling no ambient mode. And plus they are on ear headphones so don't be expecting them to be comfortable. They are also not a balanced headphone at all. From my own research I have found(before watching this video) the bass is pretty heavy making the mids sound muddy and making the highs sharp more noticeable at night volumes. the studios are not any better because there Noise cancelling is no where near the competition in that price range of 350 dollars. And the new beats solo pros are uncomfortable because of the amount of clamping force and the ear pads. And the noise cancelling can cause alot of cabin pressure as well. I'm not going to go deeper into other headphones but if u want a good pair of headphone type I highly suggest are over ear because they are just of a more comfortable design(because of the ear cups). The over headphones I suggest are the Microsoft surface or the sony Xb-900n if u are looking for something under $300. these are 250 dollar headphones(the surface are 350 but there are a lot of discounts now) but if u want to spend a bit more its more worth it.

So since I’m going to college in like two weeks I needed a laptop so I went to grab a MacBook from apples website and I was pleased to find apple throws in one of these headphones in for free:)
@@fish2147 I just bought them for USD$90 in November and saw them again for USD$115. I would never pay 300GPB for them... regular price when not on sale is listed at amazon US$199. but they always go on sale.
I agree with the review on beats. While I don't like them as much as my audio Technica at m50x's, I have tried them and I agree with what you a said. No hype :)
I tried the Studios, and while they don’t have the same bass as the Solos (they actually slightly lack in the bass), they are much better sculpted. They remind of the m40/50x a LOT.
the solo 3 is the first pair of beats I have had. I really enjoy them. The sound is great and battery life is outstanding. They charge really quickly and I have zero complaints. The 30 foot range is understated, I can roam my entire house and not lose signal or have them cut out.
Yeah maybe Beats improved quality-wise, but so did the competition. The reason why I don't like Beats personally is that value-wise, there are a lot of brands that have way better products for less bucks (B&O, Xiaomi, Audiotechnica, Sony, Bose, 1more etc.)
I purchased this exact model this morning and I haven't taken 'em off. They are of absolutely astounding sound quality and clarity. I'm returning to all of my old Zeppelin, The Who, Queen, etc...
Thanks for the link to get these beats at a lower cost! I almost bought these at $299 at Best Buy originally! I'm so excited! I want these so bad because I'm a dancer and I want dance wireless, a dancers dream:) if anyone has this beats, can you tell me your opinion on them before I buy? Thanks y'all☺️
I got my solo 3 a week ago and I love them ! I wanted a cool looking, wireless,Apple connected headset, not to go inside my ear cuz I hate that, not to be over the ear,cuz I don’t wanna look like an alien walking down the street, and I don’t like noise canceling,bc I get the feeling too detached from my surroundings. And I found a super awesome Club Navy color Beats solo 3 ,to match my also super fashionable Jack1T 😎 and loving it !
I liked this video a lot. Very well explained 👌🏻 I got these exact headphones 🎧 for Christmas today. But In Rose gold 😍😍😍😍 I love them 😍 first pair of wireless headphones 😊😊😊😊
I was skeptical when I first got my Solo 3s, but I didn't dislike them and I didn't have another wireless headset, so I started using them right away. They are very good headphones, I must say, despite the fact that Apple has a say in it now. They are very comfortable on my head. I wear a pencil behind my ear all the time and it's barely noticeable even with the headphones on. The bass is very good, but if I feel like listening to high pitched K-pop, I can do that too. I've always liked having them, but I didn't realize just how great they were until I left them at home for a day and had to use the wired earbuds I anyways carry in my pocket. I had always liked those too, never had a problem with them. But after so long of exclusively using the Solo 3s, the sound quality of my earbuds was noticeably, audibly, annoyingly terrible. I haven't used those once since that day. Always the Beats. There is one problem I have with them, and that is their built-in microphone. Whenever I use it for a phone call, the outcry person says that they can barely hear me, even if I make sure to speak loudly. For such expensive headphones, I really expected better mic quality. It should be built specifically for picking up audio from a considerable distance, considering you do need to wear them on your ears to use them for their intended purpose. Overall I do love my Beats, even being the Apple hater that I am, especially because they are some of the only headphones I can comfortably wear with a pencil behind my ear.
Awesome review, I can tell you take your time for the best production quality! I still dig my Solo3 mainly for two reasons: it sounds better in wireless mode, and the sound quality with Apple's AAC codec is totally uncompressed especially with iTunes/Apple Music. I love the Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Wireless in wired mode ironically enough but even with aptX on my Mac the sound is too compressed to my ears for me to enjoy it. Most headphones with AAC support should provide similar results but the wireless quality/range/strength on the Solo3 are as perfect as possible in today's market.
Gotta love technology! Thanks for the valuable input Michael, good to hear a qualified opinion. I'm amazed by how loud I can turn up the Solo 3s and they still sound perfectly clear
Hey man, great in-depth review of these beats. I found it hard to find a review that didn't have a hidden bias (ahem marques). They are still over priced, but I like how you look at the review subjectively, and ignore any past hype/hate from other reviewers! Thanks again, subbed :)
Hey guys I wan't to speak for everyone about my experience with Beats. I have bought the solo 3 and I owned them for a week and I must say they are pretty good for anyone looking for on ear headphones. I'm a student and I love music. I'm not an audiophile but I'm very picky with sound. I must say the sound, clarity and bass are really good with the solo 3. Someone looking for the best wireless on ear headphones that is it. However if you are looking for the best wireless headphones, there's better. I tried the bose qc35 in stores and I personally like it. Sound is very clear but not exactly as bassy but still good bass. Quality is the same as Beats anyone looking for truth and that's not a bad thing they are both really good quality and they don't feel all that cheap honestly. My only complaint is the hinges on the beats feel a little weak at first but I'm sure they hold up well. Personally I like the sound of them equally but a little more for the Beats. THEY sound great and that bass really ain't overpowering but very nice with lots of modern day music. They have incredible battery and I must say they felt uncomfortable at first but they got more comfy the more I wore it and at my last day I would say they left comfy enaugh for 2 hours with no issues. I exchanged them for the studio's because I don't need so much battery, I don't travel much and I have at most 2 hour listening sessions and then do something else. I got the studios because they do have slightly better sound in my opinion but one thing to keep in mind that the noise cancellation in it may be uncomfortable for others just like the Bose but you get used to it. There is a tiny noise bc of that noise cancellation on the Studio but it's not anything that would bother you and they blend in with songs so you don't notice it. Bass is good and clarity is pretty good too. I would say if you are not traveling in airplanes or long hours in general or you like modern music the beats Studios are the best choice for price since they are 320$ canadian where I got it and the bose are an insane 450$ canadian. Trust me when I say the studios have enaugh battery especially if you have the updated studio wireless, to know if you have that one it had a white box and buttons for volume are not in the center but exactly like the solo 3 those have even better battety life than the older studios and I must say better quality in many ways and much more clean with wires and package. I don't recommend the bose unless you go travel a lot because compared to the studios, battery and better noise cancellation is all you getting and for most people it is overkill trust me. Sound is similar but bose have a tiny more clarity but less bass but less louder also and can irritate your ears since the noise cancellation is powerful. Solo 3 are perfect if you workout a lot and are on a budget but also don't need that extra sound quality. I could say that the solo are more comfortable on top of your head but studio have better more comfy sized earcups. I say if you need extra noise cancellation bc you live in busy areas the Studio does the trick but if you live in less obnoxious places go for the solo 3. I don't recommend trying the studios in stores bc they usuallt have the older models not the new wireless ones unless you see that they are the new ones. Bose is really good too but you pay extra for things you don't need unless you travel and or absolutely need that noise reduction which beats does very well already.. Note: all ears are different so things can change so make sure you buy your product where you can return it in case you wanna try couple of them.
Beats Solo 3s were only $99 during the 2021 Black Friday Holiday Season & THAT was more the price worth buying so of course I grabbed one. I already have the Beats Studio 2 so I can't wait to compare the two.
Awesome review, I recently purchased the BOSE QC35 and they are truly an amazing pair of headphones, however of late travelling with work I think that the noise cancelling is good but you still here noise and after a while they have been giving me headaches as well considering the money you pay for them in Australia 🇦🇺. I am seriously looking at selling these and buying the BEATS SOLO 3 after your review, thoughts am I crazy 😜 cheers Ocean 🌊
The main thing I look for in headphones is that ppl can’t hear the music I play when I play it fairly loud. Are beats good with this/ sound isolating??
Great video quality and rly good, informative review. P.S. Id recommed to make some video for a best headphones (not earphones, earbuds) for gym/fitness as Ive been looking something bass heavy for months to find anything like my Beats Studio2 wireless and simply there is NO any good video on RUclips that gave the answers to find something bass heavy and comfortable like Studio2 as I can run on a treadmill for an hour with them on and they wont slip off. The only time they slip off a bit down my head is when Im doing a bench press. That is why Im looking for another pair of headphones for chest training days and as a part of a style )
I have quite a collection of cans (right now I have Hifiman HE400s on my head) and bought a pair of beats studio 2 a while ago, simply because I wanted to see for myself what that controversy is about ... initially I did not like them because of the white noise coming from the ANC ... and I never considered wearing closed backs in the gym, but this is what they are now being used for and I love them as gym phones! Sure, they are ear-saunas, but this is still the only way to battle the trashy gym music they are pumping over the speakers. For fun & comfort, these are great! Now wondering if I should go for an older studio 2.0 wireless, or those solo 3 w1, oooor, wait for the studio 3, but those will initially be like 400$, while I can find the studio 2 for sub-200 on ebay .. hmmm ... but thanks for the honest review
Hello there, I really enjoyed you review sounds like you know what you're talking about. I'm thinking about purchasing these headphones never owned a decent pair of headphones before in my life. Are the Beats Solo 3 wireless compatible with Android devices? Looking to purchase them today but don't want to get something that won't be compatible. Thank you again for your review.
They are compatible but a few disappoint is that bluetooth range with iphone is high more than 100m but with other devices like androids is less than 100m😩. Am using them with Samsung galaxy S6..and they are lit🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Antoni Sarira nah there are different headphones for different people, people like myself who prefer sound quality over looks and a recognized brand and people who want some headphones that sound good but also want headphones that you can brag to your friends about having since beats is one of those big names that everyone knows. I believe that beats is relatively good now but the price isn't exactly up to what they should be charging but they have paid millions of dollars so everyone can know the brand while brands like Audio Technica aren't well known because they focus their money on sound quality instead of paying celebrities to wear them
Cool review! I just received the rose gold ones as a gift. Love the look and feel of them.. I find the volume is lower though when there in wireless mode but with the wire there loud enough
Lol currently watching this while wearing the same exact headphones color and everything. I’ve had them for two years and they still work like a charm!
@Underwatch I completely disagree with you, wireless works really good, i have it paired on my S8+ and this thing can go far far away before losing it's connection UNBELIEVABLE!
I really enjoyed your approached to this review, you were levelled and adjusted your expectations to a neutral point as to fully review the headphones for what they are and what they're intended to be, in a way going into the review without any negative nor positive bias. Personally the only slight fault I see is that there was an overly big focus on the positives at times. What I mean by this was that, again, at times, it seemed as if you were just praising and sort of selling the headphones rather than reviewing them, I feel as there should've been a more balanced comparison of the positives and the negatives. That said I'd like to emphasise that its a slight little thing that happened on occasion and that its an opinion, you did an amazing job nonetheless and earned a sub from me, I look forward to seeing more from you!
See I listen to music basically 24/7 and that’s not an exaggeration. I picked some up a few months ago and they were absolutely fantastic. I was floored. But after about 2 weeks the left ear cup went out. I take care of my headphone especially for such a big price point. I would love to pick some more up so do you think I should or try another company? I love these things but I can’t be breaking a pair every other week . What do you think ?
I suppose. The Beats HD and Solo 1 were absolutely horrific. I own the Solo 2s and listen to classical music with them and they aren't bad at all. Not to mention you can find the Solo 2s for around $100-120 now.
Yeah, I agree. I actually just got the Studio 2.0 for $60 bucks on Ebay (they were confirmed to be real by Beats website) and they can sound a little harsh on the upper-mids like the vocals, but the bass is great for music like TSFH's. They did up their game quite a bit, but the sound could be better for the retail price. The Studios are definitely worth the money now costing around $100-130 on average. Hopefully, Apple takes the headphones somewhere else in sound quality within the next few years.
i bought these, ive had them for id say 5 months now. im a avid music listener and watch alot of videos on my phone. i love them :) only thing is girls watch out for smeared makeup and clean them once in a while to keep them looking fresh. take care of them and you wont have issues. i also use a Samsung device. The Bluetooth works amazing. I also wear glasses while wearing these and it can become a bit uncomfortable on the ear. However i do adjust my glasses and it works so i can use them for hours. At the gym they are great as well. The battery life on these is phenomenal, since i only charge them maybe twice a week. If i had to say something negative I'd say i guess the on-ear cushion can make you experience some ear fatigue but its a very minor problem and wouldnt make me avoid buying this personally. Lastly, im not an audiophile but i do enjoy great sound, i can say i do enjoy the sound these give! (:
not cool that beats only works better on iPhone and isnt fair for people like me that have samsung. i cant choose to skip a song using the headphone. too expensive in fact when you lost it or got stolen you cant trace it.
kingdestroyer01 Sevealii I know right, I have an Android phone and I can't do that but at least I have a smart watch that can do that so I don't need to worry as much about that.
mrchow489 they work on android and other reviewers say battery life the same. It just doesn't instantly connect to android. You just connect in Bluetooth settings
if you go to target you can price match from any major store so i used my red card to get 5% off and then priced matched from best buy when there were having a sale

So since I’m going to college in like two weeks I needed a laptop so I went to grab a MacBook from apples website and I was pleased to find apple throws in one of these headphones in for free:)
Best review i've seen on these so far.. thanks! Looking forward to buying my first beats wireless headphones :o)
This review is amazing. Mainly because this guy didnt just bash the beats like everyone else. He actually gave them a chance and wasn't biased at all
Excellent review! I love the looks. You have the best reviews on RUclips
Agreed
Manda!!! Thanks for the support as always :-)

In 2019 they are cheap 😍
Exactly. No longer $300 mark. Only $90 bucks. Finally priced to their value ...
They are like 290 £
@@fish2147 I just bought them for USD$90 in November and saw them again for USD$115. I would never pay 300GPB for them... regular price when not on sale is listed at amazon US$199. but they always go on sale.
Cheaper in 2020!
Oscar hanzely I brought one 2 days ago for 250£
I agree with the review on beats. While I don't like them as much as my audio Technica at m50x's, I have tried them and I agree with what you a said. No hype :)
THANK YOU! Rock on
ODi Productions No. You rock on!
\m/
ODi Productions lol
I tried the Studios, and while they don’t have the same bass as the Solos (they actually slightly lack in the bass), they are much better sculpted. They remind of the m40/50x a LOT.
the solo 3 is the first pair of beats I have had. I really enjoy them. The sound is great and battery life is outstanding. They charge really quickly and I have zero complaints. The 30 foot range is understated, I can roam my entire house and not lose signal or have them cut out.
Yup! Agreed. They just work flawlessly.
Yeah maybe Beats improved quality-wise, but so did the competition. The reason why I don't like Beats personally is that value-wise, there are a lot of brands that have way better products for less bucks (B&O, Xiaomi, Audiotechnica, Sony, Bose, 1more etc.)
Idk my previous wireless earphones were Sony,Beats are way better. Comfier and looking a tons cooler.
Just got a pair. Love them
👍 An honest review. Love the video
Much appreciated man!!
Thanks y'all☺️
I've been using these in the gym daily for about 2 months now and they're perfect IMO. Lightweight, wireless, and gets nice and loud.
im getting these today in this colour!!! so excited
I don’t get why everyone is hating on beats their amazing
Facts
@@Jordan-kj4se some are amazing but most of them blow
Coz they used to be overpriced crap
I got my solo 3 a week ago and I love them ! I wanted a cool looking, wireless,Apple connected headset, not to go inside my ear cuz I hate that, not to be over the ear,cuz I don’t wanna look like an alien walking down the street, and I don’t like noise canceling,bc I get the feeling too detached from my surroundings. And I found a super awesome Club Navy color Beats solo 3 ,to match my also super fashionable Jack1T 😎 and loving it !
Can the Solo 3 connect to my iPhone 6s the same way it did on the video/with an iPhone 7 (W1 Chip)?
najim ahmed yes I can confirm they do as I own an iPhone 6s and the solo3.
najim ahmed yes
yep, they do if you have latest version update.
Yes, I have an Iphone6, works great
Nick Ruble thanks
I liked this video a lot. Very well explained 👌🏻 I got these exact headphones 🎧 for Christmas today. But In Rose gold 😍😍😍😍 I love them 😍 first pair of wireless headphones 😊😊😊😊
I actually love this video so much!! Keep it up you just earned a subscriber! ☺☺
Muuch appreciated and welcome!
Did Dr. Dre actually do anything for any of the generations of the headphones?
I'm amazed by how loud I can turn up the Solo 3s and they still sound perfectly clear
pick my first set of beats today the solo 3 an i love them only paid 119$ 👌🏼😀
Same here!
I still have my Beats Executives, should I upgrade?
Fist The Clit depends on taste. for me solo 2's are better but I think you'd like studio 2's or pros. but the executives aren't so bad
Yeah you might like the Studio Wireless because they're over-ear, and they're going for a fair price now. That would be a logical upgrade IMO.
Upgrade it to studio 3 or solo3
Hey man, great in-depth review of these beats. I found it hard to find a review that didn't have a hidden bias (ahem marques). They are still over priced, but I like how you look at the review subjectively, and ignore any past hype/hate from other reviewers! Thanks again, subbed :)
Haha thank you and welcome to the channel!
omg i was randomly watching these vid and i saw this one is on my bday
I bought the beats solo3 and the bass is totally amazing. Good sound quality i really love the beats solo3.
HyGate can you edit this comment short !! Because I don't like to read news papers pufff
Beats Solo 3s were only $99 during the 2021 Black Friday Holiday Season & THAT was more the price worth buying so of course I grabbed one. I already have the Beats Studio 2 so I can't wait to compare the two.
Mine is already on it’s way while watching this lmao
It’s been 2 yrs how r they holding up
Thanks for the review on the solo 3 headphones ! Really helpful!
I own T18 exiberia and it broke in 7 months so I then bought razer 7.1 chroma v2 but they are USB so I was fucked
The end
JEMgaming terraria and more! lol i used to hav hyper x cloud 2 then it broke twice so i just got a refund instead of replacement for 2nd time
I don’t usually comment on videos. But I must say you did a excellent job and I like the detail explanations. Thank you so much.
I am seriously looking at selling these and buying the BEATS SOLO 3 after your review, thoughts am I crazy 😜 cheers Ocean 🌊
yeah in new Zealand 🇳🇿 XD they are something like $450 NZD
How about the mic for video calls?
Nooooo!!!!! I just purchased beats studio wireless and then you tell me that the 3'rd ones are coming out this year! 😭😭😭😭😭
F- fire studio is better
Yep all your missing out is the battery life
I’ve had my beats solo 3 for a whole year now and they work fantastic
The main thing I look for in headphones is that ppl can’t hear the music I play when I play it fairly loud. Are beats good with this/ sound isolating??
Yes they are
they can block some sound but if u play loud music it can leak i would reccomend solo pros
@@rubywebb870 yea I got some I can cut the silent mode on and off.
Thanks man!!! Good stuff you gat going on. I like it that You know what you are talking about. #Respect

Um do these beats connect to iPads and all iPhones?
just like the Airpods
Commander Irai yes they do =)
They connect 2 androids n windows phones 2.U could connect them 2 every device which has bluetooth.
Cameron Brown he was just asking
Well, kind of. It connects to all devices iOS 10 and above. iPhone 4s's and older won't work. All other devices work though
Yes
The leather ear covering totally wears out within a year, looks really bad and apple don't or won't fix it.
I Paid $120 For Mines They Come On The 14th 😂💪🏽
I paid $90. Got them before Christmas :-)
I paid 230 have them on...
3:05 was that just me or is there a figure moving in the background?

Thank you! This review was extremely helpful for my new pair of Beats
I have a android. Is it still worth buying even if i don't have a iphone ?
Hero Killer Stain is it worth it since basically all the features on iOS are on android except for the w1 chip stuff. The batter life is the same too.
Yes
No, get something different
Not really, buy bose or v moda
Noooooooooooooo hell no dont do it ,waste of money they will sound just like regular headphones
I bought my Rose Gold Beats Solo 3’s on November 26th 2018 and I paid the $300 for them
Poor ppl hate beats
stealth pro2001 L
Antoni Sarira nah there are different headphones for different people, people like myself who prefer sound quality over looks and a recognized brand and people who want some headphones that sound good but also want headphones that you can brag to your friends about having since beats is one of those big names that everyone knows. I believe that beats is relatively good now but the price isn't exactly up to what they should be charging but they have paid millions of dollars so everyone can know the brand while brands like Audio Technica aren't well known because they focus their money on sound quality instead of paying celebrities to wear them
Antoni Sarira though they are pretty nice headphones and I wouldn't mind paying $140 to $160
poor people think beats are expensive
Antoni Sarira yup
A very reasonable plea in the beginning and a great overall review.
JBL and Beats are my favorite Bluetooth headphones and speakers.
Yeah same lol I have beats solo 3's and jbl charge 3, love both of them🤙
Cool review! I just received the rose gold ones as a gift. Love the look and feel of them.. I find the volume is lower though when there in wireless mode but with the wire there loud enough

Does Beats Solo 3 work with android?
@Underwatch I completely disagree with you, wireless works really good, i have it paired on my S8+ and this thing can go far far away before losing it's connection UNBELIEVABLE!
Yes it works on android wireless, i have it paired with my s8+
Anthony Juan Can you still skip songs using the buttons on the beats ?
Hud G yes
How long does your battery last in them...i have the matte gold but they last 3hrs on high music..with my galaxy 8

Beats being bought by Apple is the best thing that ever happened to them... They still suck, but just not as much.
I suppose. The Beats HD and Solo 1 were absolutely horrific. I own the Solo 2s and listen to classical music with them and they aren't bad at all. Not to mention you can find the Solo 2s for around $100-120 now.
Jonah Hogue that's like one worst genre's for the headphones. But that probably means beats really did up their game.
Misc.Music they last so long though
Jonah Hogue where did u buy the solo 2s
i bought these, ive had them for id say 5 months now. im a avid music listener and watch alot of videos on my phone. i love them :) only thing is girls watch out for smeared makeup and clean them once in a while to keep them looking fresh. take care of them and you wont have issues. i also use a Samsung device. (:
I'm like the only android user that bought beats
Oh same here
Great video - thank you. Where can I find the headphone stands featured in your video? Thank you.
not cool that beats only works better on iPhone and isnt fair for people like me that have samsung. i cant choose to skip a song using the headphone. too expensive in fact when you lost it or got stolen you cant trace it.
kingdestroyer01 Sevealii I know right, I have an Android phone and I can't do that but at least I have a smart watch that can do that so I don't need to worry as much about that.
I mean if you can afford beats shouldn't be too much trouble buying a iPhone
kingdestroyer01 Sevealii You can skip the songs with the beats, just not in wired. Which there is no point in using with the 40hr battery life.
What a minute!!!! These don't work on androids?????
My earbud beats work fine on my Samsung galaxy
mrchow489 they work on android and other reviewers say battery life the same. It just doesn't instantly connect to android. You just connect in Bluetooth settings
Great vid! I'm still a fan and of the studios but this vid may hav changed my mind
Thank you!!
Who else watching whilst listening with solo 3
The black version is already $199 on Amazon!👍
Beats are God’s now
Gerry Glynn probably because apple bought the brand
great review - thanks
I have the rose gold beats solo 3 and the bass is not much better than a 40 dollar pair of headphones.
ur wierd
That's because they got rid of a good bit of bass so its not muffled and it's more balanced and not terrible
This is an amazing review, just what I was looking for. Thank you (October 2018)
Apple has polished that turd well.
Nice icon man. Yea they look amazing but is probably not as good sound wise
