Great show. Happy New Year. I haven't bought a new kit in 2 years. Have a stash for my retirement. So building what I have. The new kits do seem repetitive. By the way. Love the shirt!

Matt is very right when he said that people now are more cautious with their purchases, due to the price, and because they mostly already have large stashes (like me).
And I fully agree with Jon when he said that kits these days are WAY TOO COMPLICATED. I mean, I love the detail, but it is becoming a real chore to get a kit finished. I have recently stopped building these super-detailed kits, and went back to 1990 Tamiya kits... And to my amazement, I started ENJOYING the builds again! Mainly due to the fact I could finish them within a week! And I couldn't care less about the detail, to be honest... Hahaha! I can detail them myself, and the paint will make them look good anyway.
For instance, I compared the Dragon US Half-tracks with the Tamiya ones, and I decided to stash the Dragon kit again, and build the Tamiya one. It turned out GREAT!! And within a week!
As both Jon and Matt said, the balance is gone. IMHO, of course.

Phil: when you say Fengda, you do realize you basically say "ANY Chinese airbrush from €10 to €20 on Amazon and Aliexpress".
Because Fengda is just a name tag (branding) added to a general Chinese manufactured "airbrush" that has a thousand names on Amazon....
It simply is NOT a good airbrush brand... sorry... Many of them have ridiculously badly manufactured and deformed (critical!) parts.
And in my opinion it is a false economy, where when you have had to purchase 4 or 5 of those cheap things, you could have just had a A-brand airbrush that will last you a Lifetime AND where you will be able to purchase replacements and upgrades for the REST OF YOUR LIFE. Where as that Chinese rubbish will be supported until the next day, if you are lucky. so, something breaks, and you will need to purchase a new airbrush for €25...
And one more thing: do not expect you can do detailed work with those cheap things! They may work for rough work, like a general coat of paint on a model. But actual detailed work is simply NOT possible with these things. There actually IS a reason why A-brands are more costly.... But I can hardly believe that I really need to explain that??
