  • I decided to do the "ONE SYNTH CHALLENGE" again 80's style, using only using the Arturia Microbrute which is a monophonic synthesizer. I also used an inexpensive chorus pedal on the signal chain and also reverb during the mixdown. There is about 11 tracks all together, not including two drum tracks.

Very good track. As good as anything you’d hear on the radio. Cool channel, I’ve sent you a sub. Cheers.

Hello, it sounds amazing! Can you recommend this synth to make music and sounds 80s style?

Hello, Thank You for your comment. I can, but a few things to note. The first this... it only plays "one note" at a time. There are no "preset" sounds, so whatever sound you make by setting the controls, that is the sound you have, until you manually change those controls. The third thing is that the keyboard has small mini keys, not full sized. I'm used to those, as I played many keyboards since the 1980s, some people like full sized keys. It's also not a full sized keyboard... although you can change the octave range of the keyboard manually by the buttons in the upper left hand corner The last thing as I put in the description, I used a guitar chorus pedal in regards to the signal chain, it makes a big difference as that is an old 1980s music method. So if you are not looking for a keyboard to play "chords" YES I do recommend the keyboard. Gracias de nuevo, que tengan un gran día y noche.

@@jeanwd You are Welcome, I happy that you found my comments useful, hopefully more people will subscribe to my channel here. I can't say "who" but I actually have co-written music with some of the original creators of 80's NewWave and other genres / styles of music. Have a great upcoming weekend!

@@MrTom-Songwriter-Composer hi, what do you think about using these 2 Roland boutiques SH-01A and JU-06A, to make music in the 80s style (human league, alphaville, yazoo) Synth pop; New wave; etc

    • @MrTom-Songwriter-Composer

@@jeanwd The JU-06A is the module version of the Roland Juno and most certainly can do 80's NewWave (Retro/Synth Wave). I read some people complaining about the external clock in on the JU-06a work with the step sequencer but not the arpegiator, but from what I have seen other reviews about it, it looks like a great module version. The SH-01A looks more towards a more vintage side of analog bass and mono solos. I would go with the JU-06A if I had a choice between the two. If Roland offered either / or to me in an exchange for a review I would be more than happy to review it. Have a great day / night.
