I watch American Idol every time it is on. In most season's there are a number of really good singers but this year I thought differently until I heard 17 year old David Archuleta. He really belts out the songs. Last night's performance by David Archuleta, was one of the greatest that I have heard on American Idol in a long time. He was so smooth and sang like a pro. He was superb and I would consider him to be the top of the contestants.
David, I am very glad to see you bring this song to the USA. Gene Pitney would be very honored to hear you sing it, and would be proud that you brought it here to the US. Keep up the good work kiddo!

Yes, David, you let us into your heart, too, and it would be an honor to hand you the title of American Idol 2008. You have the look, the confidence, the fans, the ability, the talent, the graciousness and the COURAGE to be the ONE. Each week he stretches the audience and the judges venturing out and singing songs that actually have meaning. He is refreshing!
The arrangement was awesome and it was a heartfelt performance.. Archuleta deserves every accolade. Embarrassed by compliments and always more interested in others,Archuleta isn't driven by some hope of fame."I can't picture David saying 'I want to be a rock star, I want to be famous,"' said Thackarey."He's more like,I want to do music because I love it.He's a follow-your-bliss kind of guy."
The first time I heard of Angels is when David sang it. Why wasn't it ever successful here in the States?? It's such a beautiful song. Have it now since David included it in his debut CD. But most of all, I heard David sing it live in Reno. It was so emotional for me. I started to cry. He sang it with so much emotional. I hope I get to hear it again from david
to those who are hating david archuleta: give him a break, he's the only contestant that still has to take classes in between these shows.. he looks more tired than he was in week 1... poor kid, he's under a lot of stress... i love the boy, he's amazing as a singer and a person, sooo humble...
Love this song, and love Robbie. David brings an emotional depth that , IMO, elevates the song. A duet with the two of them would be epic. David sang this song on tour in the UK last year, and received thunderous applause during and after each performance.
I think that david is an outstanding contestant in the show beacuse he is definitly very different from others.Besides,he can not only sing very well but he is also charming.David,ROCK!!
This was the last season of Idol my daddy got to see. He absolutely loved David's voice and how humble he is. His favorite song David sang was Imagine by John Lennon. Thank you David for making my Daddy happy

David , at 19, is already the best singer/performer in the business. He has performed the full version of this song numerous times in concert, and he brings the house down every single time. Robbie Williams needs to cross the Atlantic to sing this song with David, if he dares.
hes amazing. I sing a lil bit too, but nothing like him. The patience he has with his voice is amazing. HE has amazing control and even more incredible power.

Challenges seem to be right up his alley. And he isn't proudly trying to remind us all of it, either; he just graciously takes his "rightful" place on stage and gives us his all.
My favourite song when I first heard this song it really touched my heart and really means alot to me as recently back in 2007 I lost my father so even though he's gone still though he is with me every day so I'll be singing this at Australia's got talent.
Wow, if you compare this video to David's most recent performance of this song in Salt Lake City (about two nights ago), you can just see how much he's grown as a musician. Amazing. =] Love him!
