  • Hi guys!
As always, thank you so much for your support!
I wanted to upload at least one video every week but things came up and it's been already 4 weeks since the last video.
In the meantime, subscribers reached 1k and I am so grateful for everyone who spends time to watch my video and I hope they somehow helped you to improve and achieve what you want to achieve to bring a joy and accomplishment to your life.
This video is about the difference between hitting and driving.
This concept is not too complicated but many players struggle to understand and execute it correctly.
As you probably know by now, I always emphasize efficiency and consistency. Being able to drive the ball in table tennis(any racket sports) is the key for both efficiency and consistency.
Theoretically, when you drive the ball, you ACCELERATE through the contact thus you squeeze the rubber to the maximum potential to get most grip and rebound.
When you hit the ball, you DECELERATE through the contact.
The speed of swing at/throughout the contact is the amount of energy you transfer to the ball. So if you decelerate as you swing (slow speed of swing), then you work hard for less energy transfer - inefficiency.
And most of the time, this happens because you calculated the swing speed and when to start your swing wrong.
The longer you wait, the faster you can swing. The earlier you start to swing, the slower you have to swing to contact the ball at the right contact point(at the same contact point).
I have many more concepts that I hope to share but since the time is limited and I want to answer your questions asap, I will have just two more videos after this one before I get to talk about actual techniques - forehand loop for underspin/topsipn, backhand loop for underspin/topspin, backhand punch, high ball smash, service.
I could easily go into the techniques right away but understanding few concepts will really help you to think on your own to solve the problems.
My two next videos will be about
    - The correlation between spin and speed
    - How to understand your stroke - the correlation between paddle's position vs the ball's position / angle of the paddle / swing direction / speed of the swing.
And special thanks to MALONGFANMADE Channel for the Chinese professional players training videos.
