What about the auxiliary fire pin?!?! :) Otherwise looks great!
You are absolutely right. I ran out of room on my memory card before I got to it 😆
What exactly does a drill block do? Straight holes only? Or, allow for drilling all the way through a wood door without blowing up the otherside?
Ya Just for helping me drill straight holes. On wood I mostly will only drill thru with an 1/8” bit because any bigger and it could blow out.
@@drewinstallshardware for sure, I won't go above 1/8th either. Thanaks
@@AuGold808 The block is a good idea to help you drill a straight hole, but you should mark both sides and drill each. Never drill through a wood door.
@@maximus-power I agree although typically I just drill all the way thru w a tiny drill bit as a way of marking the other side and then go half way thru each side w the larger drill bit
Ok but how do you guarantee the hole is straight? You can’t and you run the risk of the trim not lining up correctly which causes binding. It’s a shortcut and bad practice.
Do you have a video on internal vertical rods
Not yet but will try to record next time I install one. Lately it’s been more internal cables than the rods but I still see them sometimes.
@@drewinstallshardware The concealed vertical cables are way easier to adjust than the concealed vertical rods. That is one reason you are seeing them more often.
Fail safe mode!
Yes!
Can not get the connection pin to hammer out. That’s not a great concept.
Ya it’s kind of crappy. I will use 1/8 bit that I cut down to just the smooth shaft and try to use that to punch it thru.
I finally got it after I put my ass into it. Used a grid tie wire cut down to about 1 1/2 inch . Bent 2 or 3 before it came out though.
@@michaelthoele1625 oh cool ya grid wire would work good. I will have to try that next time also 😎
Drill it out with 1/8 drill bit
No helpful
Thanks for watching!
