#SANIBEL #CAPTIVA #SANIBELISLAND #CAPTIVAISLAND
Great to see you guys back. One story is the work of all the the people gave to others.
Captain Brian Holaway served others in the most need for weeks. His boat was saved and then he spent the time around Sanibel bringing water, food, and supplies to those who had nothing left. He is one the hero’s.
Yes Captain Brian is the best! We had him on previously and we reached out to him to come on again!
We vacationed Sanibel & Captive for over 25 years!
I’m so saddened but pray all will be rebuilt!❤
Thank you! We are praying as well.
Glad to see that you are back!! I am located in Cape Coral 🪸! Praying for all the people impacted by Ian!
Thank you! We are happy to be back!
Thank you for your update from Sanibel! My Favorite Island ❤
You guys are awesome! Thank you so much for your uplifting positivity and optimism! We're visitors to Sanibel every year for decades and are devestated to see the destruction caused by Ian and are saddened knowing that many homes and businesses may not rebuild. It'll take many years before the Island is back 100% but we will be waiting and will be first in line to return! Looking forward to your awesome video of the rebuilding stage of the Island. Be safe and be well!
Glad to see all of you doing the podcast again. Always wishing you well.
Thank you so much!
So Good to see the 3 of you together..watching the devastation of the Hurricane to our beloved Sanibel and surrounding areas was gut wrenching. But you all are also supported by prayers from friends and strangers for a recovery to a new normal. We appreciate the help you have given to others. Sanibel will recover. Good to see you back on podcasts !
Thank you so much for this update! My wife and I have been visiting Sanibel and Captiva for 25 plus years.... staying at Seaside Inn and more recently at Captiva Island Inn. I'm so glad that you're going to continue your podcast focusing on the rebuilding and re-opening of your beautiful Islands. We will follow along with you as you do, many prayers for all of you in this difficult time. As others have said, thank you for your positive attitudes, it speaks volumes about your character. Blessings to all of you! ❤
I can’t begin to imagine what the past six weeks have been like for your family and friends. Thanks for the update. I’m looking forward to your future videos on the recovery and rebuilding. Sanibel Strong/Florida Strong!
So happy to see you ( all three). Blessings to you all❤
Thank you all for the update, it's good to see your podcast. We are long time visitors (1979) who are looking forward to coming to Sanibel again. Can you tell us how the Historical Village, and Periwinkle Park made out? I'm sure you will have people asking about different places there. Thank you for checking out people's homes & businesses for them. And thank you for the positive outlook!
#Sanibel Strong⚓️ so sorry to hear of all you have lost. Amazing the 3 of your are staying positive and strong. So glad you are back and will be covering the rebuilding of Sanibel. Would love to hear about Mudbugs and Doc Fords my favorite place. God bless you all and thank you ❣️Bridget
Mudbugs is open! Doc Ford’s is opening soon I believe. You can check our website for a full list of businesses back open. TheSanCapGuide.com
Thanks for the update and for your positive attitudes. Sorry for your loss but I know Sanibel will come back strong. And thank you for your positive spin--it helps everyone!
You guys should have Tow Boat US owner Richard Paul on the show. Although they’ve been busy cleaning up boats, they have some amazing photos.
We would love that! Do you know him?
@@TheSanibelCaptivaGuide yes, for over 15 years.
Great to see you all! Thanks for all your help documenting recovery. We hope to have you at the refuge! -Ranger Toni
I hope so too!
Also how did the Lighthouse cafe & next door Tutles do?
Unfortunately they flooded but hopefully they will be back.
We just met Jerod and the family (from JRod's) this past June after Mari (of Priscillas) told us about his shop. He is such a great guy! Our last day we spent 3 hours in the shop shooting the breeze with him. We've been doing what we can to help order from his online shop. Sad to see how the building was affected even being higher up. Mari's is even higher and did ok for the most part, but still sad for the lack of business
Curious about Seashells, right across from Shalimar (saw helicopter footage of the debris across w gulf and only the pool visible), as we usually stay in unit 26, upstairs just next to the office. In the helicopter shot that part of the complex looked in decent shape. How did Jerry's fare?
Lastly, I know those parrots/birds all didnt make it, but I feel so sad for the wildlife in general. As annoying as coyotes can be I am guessing they were all wiped out
Jerod is a great guy, Mari a star, you have met some of Sanibel’s finest!
Wonderful to see you all back at it as best you can. Was surprised to see you all look so podcast/studio like, headphones and all. Thanks for the update and I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks so much!
Just received a email today from Three Crafty Ladies and they are not reopening. 😢
I know. So sad 😞
Is Max related to y'all? Great show
I’m their son lol! -Max

looking forward to positive video!
love from Ohio🍍
@@TheSanibelCaptivaGuide figured, I see the resemblance!
When will people learn the fact that outerbank/barrier islands are not for residential or commercial use? The New Yorker magazine featured you in its latest example of places that need relocation. Congrats.🤡👎
