Hi Tammy and Chris, I’m wondering if you could put the crunchy tostada under the beans, then go ahead and finish it the way you did before. Freezing those with lettuce and tomato doesn’t work too well….just like when I decide to have the second half of my hamburger with lettuce, onion and tomato heated back up in the microwave. Actually doesn’t bother me at all, but there is no crunch! 😂😂

I love those crunch wraps and the home made ones are way better, I buy the largest and the smallest flour shells this way i waste nothing. If you try freezing, don't put lettuce, turns to mush, ask me how I know, just add it to the top when you heat them up, everything else freezes fine. Good thing I am making Mexican this weekend.
Buy the Labanderita burrito and taco size tortillas then there is no need to tear a burrito size one down. I would also add some shredded cheese. I have everything to make these except the crunchy tostadas.

Just a thought about that extra tortilla you cut to cover the center where the filling is. They also do sell soft taco size flour tortillas. Just thought I'd share that. The only difference was she trimmed off the second tortilla wrap with kitchen shears and then diced it up really fine and cooked it up with finely diced onion than cooked up the meat and seasoned it. She then put white shredded cheese, refried beans, then the meat and more shredded cheese and then put the tortilla you cut on top then buttered the edges and fold over the sides. Then brown it on both sides with butter. I like the way you made the 2 different ones but both look delicious. I'm glad the storm didn't do damage to your home and that you're safe. I watch "Ryan Hall" the weatherman on RUclips and he's always right on with his predictions and the money he makes from his videos he uses with his team to help out victims from storms. Hello, crunch wraps seem easy to make and they are but there is a purpose for the way they are layered. The cold items are placed down first lettuce tomatoes sour cream sauces then the tostada shell then the cheese and other sauces if desired then beef and bean layers then close the burrito size tortilla completely turn the folded side down on the pan to seal the crunch wrap this serves to heat the beef and bean layers with the cheese but keeps the cool refreshing layers cool and crunchy so you get both textures and your lettuce and sour cream don’t get hot.

Id suggest softening the flour tortilla in the frypan a bit to make it a bit easier to fold over.
