ok..... what about the Saiyan Race in other universes they can also go super Saiyan and have the same basic powers so he couldn't have been a destroyer god because of the Saiyan race being in other universes if I'm wrong I would like to know why

Separate proposal: this hypothetical ancient god monkey thing simply was a god with no place in the hierarchy. Because Sun Wukong had no place in his divine hierarchy in the book, he just kinda was randomly semi divine
Expanding on that idea, Wukong was born from stone, so the Ancient Monkey God could have been a planetary God like Kami was though naturally formed for his world like the Kai, instead of taking up a mantle like the Gods of Destruction, and the gods of earth. as his decendents evolved over the years into the Sayians their "godly" nature became less and less tied to their world manifesting in the different transformation states until they could regain and control their innate God Ki through transformations like SSJG.
Why no one talked about Mr. Popo? He's a supreme being and all we have is that he's a "Genie" and he was born thousands of years ago in the Other World and sent to Earth in order to assist Kamisama, Popo's like one of a kind character 'cause we haven't seen other planets' Guardian Gods (like Kamisama) let alone their assistant(s)

Ozarru was the God of destruction before berrus, berrus killed him and claimed the title but when berrus seen that there could be the potential for another super saying god to emerge that could possibly be as strong as ozarru he told friza to destroy planet vegeta, because he knew a descendant of ozarru would be the only one capable of challenging his place as the god of destruction if planet vegeta and the sayians weren't destroyed. that's why whis told vegeta the only way he would train him is if he would become a future God of destruction, thus reclaiming his rightful place of his great ancestor ozarru

Thats why I think it would be awesome to have a god who created the saiyan race that is "the Monkey King". Namekians are descended from a multiversal being that created the super dragonballs, and are commonly elevated to god of a planet. Chances are they're god descended too, and i'm betting Orange Piccolo now possesses God Ki in that state, he was briefly able to sense god goku in Broly by locking onto broly first then focusing on goku from there so he likely has a path to god ki through his link to Kami at least.

It would be amazing to find out that Goku, Vegeta, and Broly are direct descendants of Son Goku the monkey god. That's why goku, vegeta, and Broly are just insanely op and are always able to break their limits so easily. With this theory you could really unravel a back story like no other. If Son Goku millions of years ago became a god to stop Majin buu after being created by the demons. one could conclude that Son Goku had his way with many ladies after that crazy battle. By that means creating what we know as the Saiyan race. Son goku dies peacefully but then is reincarnated as Son goku present time.

Yes, this theory fits! It's also interesting that all of the other races of Destroyers are various animals and the Simeon is missing. I also remember talk that Zeno erased a few Destroyers in the past. I think the theory is quite sound.

Berus probably told Freiza do that because they saw the Saiyans as a continual problem and so he's just got a rid of them to avoid later nuisance. But still that could be because of their ability to use divine ki.
Unlikely, Beerus taught goku how to become a super sayin God so he could fight him. That's not the action of someone scared of sayins.
This is a great theory. I'd love to see this get expanded some more. The thought of a previous Saiyan being a previous God of Destruction seems pretty cool. Of course, there are plenty of fan mangas with fanmade previous and future gods of destruction, so it wouldn't be that far out there to have another with this one.

Considering Akira Toriyama also stated that Goku and Vegeta are distantly related, we know the saiyans had a split in their culture.
Nothing states a god of destruction can't create stuff.
We could look at it to different ways, he was dying and created an race in his image to be steadfast protectors, or he bred with the Saiyan race.
This is taking into consideration most of the Saiyan history and culture was lost way before Frieza came along.

This exists in different forms and obsessions with different aspects power, control, fear of loss, or just dominance. This was effectively dumbed down when Goku landed on earth and the impact hit his head. We observe this when vegeta recognizes kakorot and states what happened to him when they first arrive to earth and Goku says idk who you guys are. Vegeta says you must have hit your head and forgot. You get the gist all saiyans have a capacity for merciless violence and greedily pursuit of power. The Kaio Ken technique is a divine transformation, one that Yamcha learns when he was training under King Kai or North Kai, but Yamcha never used it after learning it. When he realized that Goku and Vegeta would be gone from Earth however, he began training in Kaio Ken to the point that he can take on a powerful being much stronger than himself and win. And I do believe that Krillin also learned it and would not use it unless he had to
They cannot as it would more then likely kill them without the proper training. The form nearly kills goku any time he uses it.

It's true that Yamcha took over the Turtle School after Roshi decided to "retire ". Krillin used Kaio Ken at his maximum to fight in the Tournament of Power which was his last actual time of being a fighter. After the Tournament he and 18 retired

It makes sense. Whis is adamant on Vegeta becoming a God of Destruction. Vegetas bloodline could be a direct line, which is why he could achieve the form by himself. It could be a way of bringing prestige back to his royal bloodline by becoming a God of Destruction and becoming the king of all Saiyans.

I hope not, Vegeta beat Top because a man who fights for his values beats (should always beat) someone who does not fight with any values and does not care about protecting life. Vegeta would be weaker in character and worth; Vegeta would lose so much humanity if he threw away everything that made him who he is. It's the whole reason he cancelled out top's energy of destruction, he proved everything he made of himself is greater than that. He tried allowing Bobidi to enslave his mind to become stronger but Goku called him a liar, accused him of not even believing he threw everything away just for more power. He also immediately beat Goku and sacrificed himself for humanity while he was Majin Vegeta.
Vegeta embodies so many things, respect, honor, pride; self worth, discipline, determination, stoicism - all of that would need to be thrown away to become a God of Destruction.

Well Sun Wukong/The Monkey King (also known as Son Goku in Japanese) is the god of fighting. Sun Wukong also traveled on a Nimbus Cloud (Jindouyun/Somersault Cloud) and had a staff Ruyi Jingu Bang (Nyoi Bo in Japanese). Goku from the DB franchise was heavily inspired by the Sun Wukong. So if you mix what you say about DB and Sun Wukong there's a possibility that Saiyan could be descendants of Sun Wukong.
Also I shall add that if they are descendants of Sun Wukong and how strong Goku is and how he gets stronger all the time fast throughout the DB franchise is that Goku may not only be descendants but a direct bloodline descendant to Sun Wukong. Well that's just my theory but it is something to think about.

It's in everyone's bloodline so by intense training one can unlock his potential and go through many transformations that's for Vegeta. But if you really watch the series you would know that it's like Goku is just handed these transformations without training hard.That only explains the fact that his bloodline to the god is strong
@@wallaceluna6241 Well it was due to Vegeta training with Goku in Whis's staff/That Place. His staff is basically a stronger an better version of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber that had god ki inside it. So because of the training with Goku inside he was able to unlock his SSG form.
@@kingrapaye7390 I do watch the series and have watched it since it the original DB first aired in the US in the early 90s. It's due to Goku's S-Cells being high. The S-Cells being connected to the spirit and emotions of the Saiyan. A kind, caring, and gentle spirited Saiyan has higher S-Cells. That on top of Goku's training what made it easier for Goku to turn Super Saiyan. The catalyst that made him first turn SS was when Freeza killed Krillin. His emotions of sadness and anger of seeing his childhood friend being killed unlocked the first form of SS. Than he was able to know and understand how to do it. Thus making it easier for him to unlock each level and form of a SS. Due to Vegeta always being how he is and always competing and in a way being jealous of Goku it was harder and slower for him to unlock each form. It took lots more harder training with emotional and spirit control for him to unlock. Pretty much every Saiyan has the ability and potential to unlock SS and each form but because how they are and how Freeza used them they couldn't get their S-Cells up high enough to do it. So because Goku was raised on earth the way he was to become caring and good spirited.
My initial comment about was just a random theory I threw out connecting Sun Waking to the DB universe and connections/bloodlines.
Fun fact: in the original script for battle of gods beerus' name was written differently so itnwould be a reference to the word virus nor beer.
He would have been an anthropomorphic lizard that went around the universe infecting races with what was essentially evil itself, causing them to be violent and destructive. He would reveal the last race he did this to was the saiyans and that while they were always warriors they werent murderers, and thats why half saiyans are generally more peaceful, their hybrid biology cancels out his infection.
But then toriyama decided to model beerus after his cat and make him the god of desteuction after the vet said he legitimately believed it was a demon.
Toriyama (rip) honestly is the George Lucas of DBZ...so much potential but honestly he had the dumbest instincts. Veerus sounds a lot more interesting than Beerus the sleepy Egyptian cat.
"So the Divine Ki is already within the Sayians" is why they were destroyed. Imagine what would happen if all the Sayians reached that level, and suddenly, you have billions of God like warriors to contend with, who have no certainty of their moral alignment.
This is actually a really cool fan theory! And it's lore friendly!
Unfortunately, the series won't ever explain it. With Master gone, whatever they'll do with DB it won't be the same, nor even real cannon.. 😢

Correct me if I'm wrong but the fundamental difference between mortal Ki and God Ki is the user's ability to not let their Ki leak out. Trivial as it may sound but that aspect was the whole extend of Goku and Vegeta's training with Whis
My headcannon is that the saiyans are the only race that has hair adapt to their transformations, not the only race that has them. Beerus may be a god but just like Goku and Vegeta he was trained by Whis before becoming a god. That means he was once a mortal with destruction powers just like Toppo who was shown to have a god transformation. As for why 5 saiyans can spawn another ssjg? Just plot convenience, there was no thought beyond that to make it all make sense.

Well they clearly tell you that Toppo was a God Of Destruction in training and he even cemented that decision in the tournament of power when he took on a god of destruction form and used the energy as well(even though he ended up catching Vegetas hands in the end). So honestly this theory has quite a bit of backing if you really think about it because we already know that gods of destruction are chosen and trained.
Not to mention that they can retire. This means that once Toppo took up the mantle, technically Belmond was retired, yet clearly he would still have access to divine ki. It could well be that the Saiyan's progenitor is a retired destroyer.
Another theory. Divine Ki is not limited to specific races. It's actually a feat that only a few become powerful and skilled enough to earn. We've seen non-Saiayns in Dragonball super who are so powerful, that Goku and Vegeta MUST be in their god forms just to hurt them. There were even some non-saiyan characters, namely Toppo and Jiren who have demonstrated being able to harness ki that appears to be god ki, namely, the shape of their ki aura. It also wouldn't be too much of a stretch to take in the possibility that Piccolo's Orange form is a god state for Namekians and Frieza's golden form is a god state for Arcosians. And quite frankly, i personally would not object to idea of a human (who is NOT an Android or a majin Reincarnation, lol) being able to achieve the same milestone. Imagine Krillin and Tien learning how to tap into divine ki and then proceed to learning Ultra Instinct and having better mastery over it than Goku, while Yamcha learns Ultra Ego. Having the Earthing Z fighters train under the gods and angels would be a real game changer.
Would be great if it was true. Also they could do so much with it if the progenitor of the saiyans was allso beerus's mentor. Would play in nice with his intrest in the saiyans plus how he did not destroy the saiyans himself but made freeza do. They could really do alot with this theory.
Dude! The monkey is the original sayian god. Then the other sayian god that people love (I can't remember his name) is the offspring of the monkey guy. But his parents die while he is young and he loses his way. He creates the position of god of destruction, and takes Beerus under his wing. Only to be challenged by his kin many generations after . This theory makes a lot of sense... I swear at some point Beer's had mentioned he wasn't the first God of destruction choosen for this universe. And as we have seen through the end of the tournament of Power that the gods do pick then next one to be a God of destruction.

Interesting little bit of world building. It wouldn't really be a huge departure, since the writer's favor already makes Saiyans the most special race in the universe. Mind you, it's equally plausible that the other races we've seen COULD potentially pull off some sort of divine transformation, but we'll never see the necessary conditions because they're not important enough. After all, as you point out, many races can be elevated to divinity with divine assistance. But this certainly works, and it's an interesting idea. Well done.

Goku also accessed Angelic qi. Ultra Instinct is described as a technique, but it allows for access to angelic qi.
Imagine if Ozaru and his angel mated and had the first Saiyan offspring. This might’ve been hidden from the rest of the angels (or possibly just a family secret), but could explain why some Saiyans, like Goku, can master angelic qi techniques, but most of them defer to brute force tactics, and why only an angel could simply train Vegeta into God form.
Vegeta can also ascend to a level so high that Hakai qi has no effect on him as if he naturally ascended past Destruction God level, something only an angel could accomplish. Notice the purple destruction qi mixing with a white angelic qi would produce a sapphire blue qi.

This would also mean that every other mortal, who has some kind of GoD ancestry, would also be able to achieve god ki. I think we can all just agree that someone thought "Saiyan God would be cool" but never thought about what God Ki actually is or why only specific races should be able to sense it. In fact, they even forgot that Piccolo is able to sense deities because of Kami. I think Divine Ki is some primeval energy in the multiverse that has to be "experienced" to actually achieve it. It might be easier for races like Saiyans, because of their genetical ability of Zenkai but most other races should be able to get it, IF an individual has enough time. For humans, with their trash tier strength, it wouldn't be possible but Namekians should be able.

Wasn't it established that only after coming to Earth they became able to sense ki? I believe Vegeta even mentions it when he goes to Namek, that after visiting Earth he no longer needs a scouter. Could Sayans also have the ability to "learn" divine Ki by being in its presence or some other method? Vegeta said that he trained to obtain god-mode after seeing it was possible for Goku, and succeeded. Reaching super-sayan was tough but then later, reaching it could be explained through a simple technique of concentrating on a certain part of your back (or somthing like that) and Cabba and a another Sayan reach that level quickly as well.
What if Sayans are still simply just a warrior-breed, designed with infinite potential to surpass challenges. Vegeta also said things like: sayans gain a power boost after healing from something that nearly kills them; keep more youthful bodies for longer in order to keep fighting, etc.
Guys, the saiyans are not the only ones who can become gods. Toppo managed to unlock divine power as well. Even though he already had a God of destruction in his universe he was able to become one

I think long ago the saiyans did play a part in the hierarchy of gods and were the army or protectors of the universe. But overtime as gods became more powerful they were no longer needed so the angels erased their memories of their past and gave them their own planet.
This means that even krillin can attain divine ki. Before Kami there was another guardian of earth and by watching the background scenes it is clear that he was a human. Thus all humans also have divine ki. They just need to train hard enough

So also a point towards your theory. In the battle of the gods. Berus was looking for the “Original” Super saiyain god. He settled for Goku cuz he said he could replicate it and keep him entertained. If this is the case. It coulda been there was a “God” like you said that found humanoid species he mated with. N made the Legacy in the first place.

Hmm cool theory, in my fanfic where the universe is highly based on elder scrolls but with a lot of dragon ball and some animes, the protagonist is part yokai, part saiyan and part elf lol, one of the gods was a monkey and his descendants are the saiyans, the mirrored universes where due to the nature of the energy being made of components that could exist together in the same universe but rather in different almost identical ones.
The protagonist is the son of an yokai princess who is also the daughter of a newly formed alliance of a type of yokais and dark elves, and his dad is a saiyan from universe 6 who got caught in a black hole and was sent to universe 15 where all happened, late in the history the protagonist would meet goku and the Z fighters to find the monkey god in universe 0, aetherius

The reason is because I have been playing with a similar theory for months, but no platform to display it. Since the release of Dragon Ball Super, I have been thinking something similar. However, my theory includes the fact that humans are also a descendant of the same Saiyan God, but from an off branch, which is why half saiyans for one can reach the higher levels of Super Saiyan faster than Goku and Vegeta and at a younger age, and also would fix your thoughts on how half saiyans were able to participate in the ritual. I just don't have a platform to put this kind of thought out there like you do, so well done and hats off to you!.
There is one GIGANTIC flaw with theory, and it's Elder Kai. He was sealed in the Z Sword by Beerus 75 million years ago. For this theory to work, you'd have to believe that Saiyans existed for 75 million years, which is just a stretch.
We know Saiyans have existed for longer than Planet Vegeta's been around (this is explained in the tournament arc against U6), but 75 MILLION years? Idk.
While I like this theory, it’s likely that saiyans just have a genetic predisposition to transformations, and when they build up a high concentration of god ki, they transform. This explanation could work for the ritual as well, since yamoshi wasn’t a super saiyan god, only a super saiyan. When he died, the universe probably allowed his soul to roam the universe until it found a pure hearted saiyan who had 5 other pure hearted saiyans poor their power into him. And for dying for a good cause, made him some kid of saiyan deity that doesn’t really exist in the godly hierarchy. I think it’s more so just the connection to inspiration from Son Wukong and then Toriyama jus building his own anime world around it….
DBZ as a franchise revolves of around Son Goku who from the beginning was strange in that he was a monkey boy…. He had a tail and can transform into a great ape jus like don wukong… also has the power pole and flying nimbus which don wukong also had…
One of the first powers that son wukong has is the 70 heavenly transformations… this for the most part jus lets him transform into other animals..
also son wukong became divine through training aswell…

This theory is debunked by a few already existing lore points. In no particular order:
-Some have speculated that Beerus had Freeza destroy Planet Vegeta out of fear that a Saiyan might become strong enough to overthrow him as God of Destruction. However, Beerus actively seeks out the Super Saiyan God in the hopes of having a good fight, as he's bored of nobody being strong enough to challenge him. In the Manga, he's also starting to take a shine to Vegeta and seems to be steering him in the direction of being his handpicked successor, although he does still occasionally tease Goku about it since he knows Goku doesn't want the job and that the proposition annoys him. It's because of Beerus's advice that Vegeta's able to figure out how to unlock the Ultra Ego form, which uses the same ki as a God of Destruction.
-We already know where the Super Saiyan God form comes from. It's derived from an ancient Saiyan named Yamoshi who was not an "official" god but was a pure hearted Saiyan. It was he who would go on to become the origin of the Super Saiyan legend, as well as the legend of the Super Saiyan God.
-Any mortal can obtain god ki through training, though it usually requires training with a deity to achieve. It is through this process that the God of Destruction in each universe is chosen. They are mortals who are handpicked by their predecessor and undergo training to become the next God of Destruction when it is time for their predecessor to retire, such as the case with Toppo. Namekians also possess godly potential and are capable of becoming guardians over whole planets, such as in the cases of Kami and Dende with Earth. It's because Kami was a god that Piccolo is able to sense that there's something special about Shin in the early Buu Saga, before the reveal that Shin is the Supreme Kai. Piccolo was able to sense what others such as Goku and Vegeta could not because he fused with Kami back in the Cell Saga.
I think there is a hole in your theory. If Oozaru was born mortal and became a God, he already had a race. His descendants would be of his race or a half breed with a similar race with his own blood/race becoming watered down more and more over the generations. Either way, the implication is that the saiyan race existed more or less independently of this theoretical God.
It is possible that he bred with Saiyans, and his line of descendants became the legendary super saiyans, but as time went on and his blood was watered down, the saiyan race became incapable of unlocking the transformation up until Goku, Broly, and Vegeta. This would imply that the 3 are all distant cousins, which is possible after so many generations. This would mean that these saiyans would have dormant divine ki that could be awakened through a ritual, or through
... whatever happened with Vegeta. Maybe a more direct line/less watered down blood so he didn't need a ritual? This would make sense as to the "why" for Vegets's bloodline being royal. However, we learn through Caba that Vegeta's line only became royalty fairly recently after winning it through rebellion.
It's a cool theory, but one they would either have to build around to make it work or poorly shoehorn it in there. Based on the way the plot has been going lately, probably the latter.
I think you're spot on, your theory makes a lot of sense actually.
I hope Toryiama explains their origin, maybe makes that story a pivotal point somehow.

I find this to be a stretch. To me it seems more likely that Goku and Vegeta have simply reached and subsequently surpassed the limits of mortal ki. Fits with the whole theme of surpassing one's limits that Goku's story has, too. Plus, the "ancient god Oozaru passing divine ki down to the Saiyan race" doesn't really feel very Toriyama, to be honest. Feels like something that would have been written by the GT writers.
This makes sense; therefore, I predict the writers will make up something different and contradict a major part of the series while doing so.
I mean the biggest flaw is, it seems anyone with extreme power can train to be a God of destruction. Like does beerus's race descend from a god to become a god of destruction? I think the point is when trained by a God, any race can tap into God ki

Well that would be a great theory for Dragon Ball GT. Since they looked more like a god of destruction rather than a colorful upgrade. Plus the gods of destruction dont have the power to create so he couldnt have just whipped something up.
I believe that, even Lord Beerus might have authorised the destruction of planet Vegeta because of the threat of multiple Saiyan Gods. He did say that “Super Saiyan God” sounded familiar
The reason why they have this is simple, Akira Toryama needed to get people who were hungry for new DB content off his back and pay for a new house without actually creating something different than "ooh new hair colors for Vegeta and Goku".
I think what's always made the most sense to me in the "divine Energy" is that ALL mortals have the Potential to tap into their inner "light". BECAUSE the Kaioshin are creator gods. And subsequently created everything in their own universes with DIVINE ENERGY. Most beings just won't ever reach it, cause it requires a ritual for most, or such a rigorous amount of training to attain that usually mortals are too short lived to attain it. But Saiyins have a natural "short cut" through their own biology and unique ability for transforming already.
It could be as simple as Ozarru as the God of Destruction fell in love with some mortal woman, fathered a child/children, gave birth to the sayian race and thus could break certain rules and lose his position and immortality. After that Beerus took over his position and rules to this day.
I love this theory, the writers of DragonBall better find this video & make it Canon because as of right now the ritual makes absolutely zero sense in canon.

I think you all are over looking one tiny fact, Goku in this universe IS Son Goku, who was not a god at first, he ate a divine peach to become immortal and have such power. Goku did similar things back in dragon ball with divine water. The entirety of the show has been Goku living a version of the old chinese tale. Wukong goes on to defeat all the gods and becomes Qítiān Dàshèng. Great sage equal to heaven.
Well the universe 11 God of destruction was grooming Top to be the next god of destruction so it makes sense there would be a string of gods of destruction. They even said if Beerus died (if the supreme Kai was killed) who's would basically go into rest mode until another god of destruction took Beerus' place.
It doesn't really explain why Saiyans have access to god-ki. As you've said, Gods of Destruction are mortals chosen to become gods. So if this monkey ancestor of Saiyans were a GoD (heh that works out) he would have only been so because he was chosen and this would not have affected his race or decendants.
The races in Dragon Ball series should be treated akin to RPG races (in a sense they are but not by much Saiyans outclass everyone). For example: Saiyans have their saiyan traits but they are unable to go Ultra Instinct because of Saiyan rage. Humans can go Ultra Instinct being more in tune with their emotions. Nameks have regen and can learn energy attacks faster with less energy consumption. Humans can learn a variety of attacks but get stronger faster because of their shorter life spans. Saiyans get stronger over time but because they live longer they can mature much more slowly and thus get stronger at a slower rate plus they are more durable. Just a thought.
Good theory. It's even more likely when you realize Vegeta became a Super Saiyan God without even doing the ritual. So the God Ki must be within them already.
Maybe zeno liked one of their ancestors and granted him divine power to have an immortal friend. Maybe he was similar to goku and that's why zeno took to goku. Or not lol just a thought. Maybe he was a god of mischief or even the friend god as zeno gets whatever he wants so anything is possible. Maybe any race can have the god ritual once they reach a certain power.
This would make sense. Like all the destroyers are the last of their kind and being the first ssj god doesn’t exist anymore and his ancestors do would explain it also.
There is one question I have that involves "Autonomous Ultra Instinct"
Whis / Beerus & Many of the other gods that we are familiar with, Does not have this power Mastered & Whis said that Goku is the first person to be seen in this form... Not even Beerus has fully Mastered it & Goku manages to do this with greater training. There is also something that makes sense, each god of destruction represents an Animal, Such as a Mouse, Elephant, Cat, ETC.
I believe that the Creator of the Destruction could be Sun Wukong in representation. Since Goku has been in training rigorously on a daily basis, He is Constantly fighting & Spirited not to stop. This means that theoretically the reason why Goku is far more powerful than what fans can even fathom. Especially seeing throughout the entire series of Dragon Ball.
Son Goku or "Kakarot" is extremely like Broly... The only difference is that Broly does not have the mindset or Morality that Earth has taught Goku.
There is also a very odd reason that there are all sorts of Gods of destruction, But a "Monkey" Version is missing... & Probably for good reason... even with Grand Zeno & Grand Priest has a neutrality towards Goku & Sparingly gives him any information... Whis is oddly also training Goku & Vegeta far more than he trains with Beerus... So this proves this theory further…
Something about Goku is disturbing... He is always able or manages himself to proceed to get more & more powerful each time his spirit is released... Plus, Considering the Saiyan race has been pretty much eradicated with very minimal amount of survivors...

I think namekians will be able to get divine ki. If they are descendants of zalama. And in one of the manga page during the granola arc it was mentioned that "namekians come from a completely different realm all together"

That makes sense how Dynamics are also originated from a dragon God that's how they have their name of God form so of course the saiyans are going to have their Saiyan God form from a monkey god

I think Zeno thought it would be funny to give them the ability and forgot about it.
God of mischief/chaos would fit better, think of how often the Kai and Hakaishin have had to intervene or oversee things because of Saiyan influence, without that chaos the gods could wind up becoming complacent and just go through the cycles not knowing the plight of the mortals as they destroy and recreate with complete indifference.

I still belive Zeno is only one half of the coin and he is "just" the multiversal god of destruction and Zalama the dragon god is the his counter part the multiversal god of creation. That's why Zalama can grant any wish, and thats why he is the only one who can bring back the universes erased by Zeno.
