"Ya see? No difference. It's all rocknroll." - Lemmy Kilmister
exactly
Brown was the better dancer, but Kilmeister had the better visual style. both major elements of the traditional rockstar.
@Captain Insano Shows no mercy thank you!

When an unstoppable force of cocaine meets an immovable object of cocaine.
Who's who? Doesn't matter any more though, they're both seventeen feet deep in Showbiz Show in the afterlife now
God damn it, this is the funniest thing I've read on the internet in weeks.
Lemmy was more into speed. Obviously
Speed. Motörhead is amphetamine user.
Well then I guess that makes Lemmy the unstoppable force and James Brown the immovable object.
It’s scary how this sounds so natural together.
ruclips.net/video/3t1ZwTSeGUc/видео.html
I ain't scared. I'll embrace this all day
im pretty sure mr kilmeister was a fan of the godfather of soul. But yes, its to me, the rock with an afro, as jacked as he is, with a metal fan's vest and a motorhed tee, throwing assholes through walls..... as a song, ya know? hell of a montage to use this song on the big screen with haha. shoot it like those Crank films lol
Metal and punk were born from soul, blues and rythm and blues, it's a scientific fact.
😎✊
James Brown's inimitable screams sound so incredibly natural with Mötörhead. ✊🏻✊🏿
Agreed. Another said that soul metal should be a thing. It works so well.
Him, little Richard etc were BIG influences to them and therefore to the whole Heavy genre

That first scream sounded more metal than 90% of the music nowadays
Shit, JB would have been a great metal singer.
@Timothy Dexter Not only is it rivaling NWOBHM, it's easily surpassing it. There were more almost as many metal releases last year than all of the 80's.
Checks out. 90% of music nowadays isn't metal 🤷♂️
Woke metal

The world needs real bands who actually sound like Bill McClintock mashups.
It would be cool if he became an eccentric producer in the vein of Phil Specter and just pushed artists into these mashed up sounds
@@KaninTuzi That would be cool. Probably the closest real bands to this kind of thing were Faith No More and Living Colour.
The local music scene round here is just cover bands - they're usually pretty talented but have given up completely on being original. I'd love to get some of them together to play some Bill magic!
I’ve been inspired to start a Soul Metal band.
Try, nomatta band. It's on RUclips somewhere. Yo from here. 💊🏴☠️🤠
James Brown's screams and shouts could have put a lot of great metal vocalists to shame.
It would be a epic battle with halford and that one singer from helloween.
@@luis_6068 Michael Kiske?
Kai Hansen
Michael kiske hes also good but I wouldn't put him into this vocalist battle.
Kai hansen hes a vocalist and a guitarist hes the real deal I think he could hang in this epic vocal battle with halford and james.
I been listening to this for about 2 years now. I play it at parties and it never disappoints
The "I got soul" "the ace of spades" part hit me hard in a good way 🖤 Great mashup, Lemmy and James Brown are both kings 🤘🏻

Solo dance and James's scream at the end was perfection, man.
Why does James Brown mix so damn well with classic metal?!?
Because Metal is the offspring of the Blues..soul is also an offspring of the Blues! These kids got together on the good foot and the rest is History!
I need a whole album of "Bill McClintock - Presents Soul Metal" now.
Honestly though
Yes. On vinyl
It’s simple, just download all these into mp3’s...and put them into iTunes.
My band is currently working on a Soul Metal song with a professional soul singer, she has an amazing voice. it's all recorded except for the drums now. . Will let you know as soon as it's mastered and uploaded. (I found this video because I wondered if Soul Metal already exists)
"Soul Metql" look up the track "Meat" from Tony Iommi's solo album.
Considering that Lemmy's favorite singer was Little Richard, I think he would have liked this. 😎
ruclips.net/video/3t1ZwTSeGUc/видео.html
The mashup the world never knew it needed.
It's not a mashup. Just a lost record of their brief collaboration.
I been fan of both Motörhead and James Brown since I can remember... I was lucky to see James Brown play live in Barcelona and Motorhead on three occasions in London... awesome and unforgetable times. Thanks for sharing this killer mashup! sounds just like Jack & Coke.
Or Coke and Coke 🙂
Maker’s Mark
Aside from being an amazing mashup, I’d say this illustrates just how rooted metal is in blues/soul music.
Blues scales + dirty metal = 25 minute solo
I mean have you heard of stoner doom? They worship Iommi and Sleep is the proof
Particularly motorhead
I think it's more Motorhead. Most metal lost many of the blues elements of rocj
Lemmy would love this
James Brown would've made a great frontman in Motörhead. Hell, if a band came out with this kind of music today, it could be huge.
Living Colour: "Are we joke to you?"
It really would. They sound extremely GREAT together.
ruclips.net/video/3t1ZwTSeGUc/видео.html
My thoughts exactly. Inspires me to try it out
KING GIZZARD!!!
I love how 'I got soul' goes right with that chord change. It's like they collaborated to come up with that!
I’ve never died laughing and started head banging at the same time. The joy of feeling awesome.
James Brown would have LOVED this. I remember when he was jamming to Metallica at the Grammys when all the suits around him were just sitting there.
Damn i wish there were a video of thissss
Really? Where's the footage?
Oh I bet he would've really liked this!
That's the awesome thing about the older acts. They'll work with just about anybody and most of them are like that.
I think that (A) Zappa did something to their brains (they ALL knew him back then, dude got around...) And (B) they get off on the looks on people's faces when, for example, Ozzy shows up w a pop singer or a THE goth rocker retires his biggest hit because a country singer "owns it now" (best quote in rock now, btw)
Lemmy would have as well.
There's a quote: "Only two things in life are certain- death and taxes." A third now exists-when Bill uploads to RUclips, it's always a banger! Please don't stop mate, you're a gift to the world!
AGREED!!! Peace brothers and Sisters!!!
Third that!
PREACH
Bill always delivers.
Absof*ckinglutely agreed, Sir! More like this, please.
How the hell does Bill come up with these. He's a genius!
He's gotta have a software that shows the Bpm and the key for any song he puts in the digital file folder. The internet radio providers like deezer, rhapsody, pandora etc. can create auto-playlists in this same way. Their software creates a list of songs with matching key and bpm in order to figure what you will like to hear next. It goes on for hours and only slightly does it alter the bpm and key, for some variety. Bill has the songs he likes, then they go into the file and it shows him the key and Bpm. Then he gets creative with the songs that are a key/bpm match and he finds the footage to cut paste and make the edited final version we see here.
James is going to dock everyone in Motorhead $50 for not combing his hair and pressing his shirt. - JE
Somehow I can see Lemmy and James Brown being legit friends.
The sheer volume of stimulants needed tho
Smoked something, or sipped something together haha
Until they get to the bottom of the cooler and there's only one malt liquor left.
and somehow they can understand the words coming out of each other's mouths
Theena Kumaragurunathan I don’t know. Lemmy always loved women and was very respectful, but I’ve heard a few stories of James Brown being abusive to the women in his life. I think they could rock out together, though.
Soul Metal is now my favorite genre of music. I don't know who you are, but please don't stop making these. The first time I listen to any of these, I go "This is too fucking dumb." And then I listen to it 100 more times, because it's fun as hell too.

Both of these guys were highly self motivated, lived for the road, wrote music constantly, went through women and drugs like candy, and were both apparently a pain in the ass to work with because they had high standards for a very tight but well produced recordings and live shows.

Most of metal comes from Black music .
*Soul and Crust Punk
Rock music & Heavy Metal are both products of the original Blues music.

Motörhead are often quite funky. 😎👌
You’re making me realize more and more how “rock and roll” these soul singers were.
ruclips.net/video/3t1ZwTSeGUc/видео.html
Well, a black gospel singer named Sister Rosetta Tharpe invented rock and roll, so there ya have it. Even still today you can go to a lot of black churches and hear this kind of singing every Sunday.
I'm a Billiever, in Bill's mashups we trust. Hats off to you, maestro.
🤣Bill-iever ..very nice.
I believe in Bill’s mashups more than I believe in a celestial sentient being. I know that they exist and that there will be another coming.
I don't really know how to express the feeling that James Brown's voice gives with mothorhead
but it is a sensation as if the sun on a hot Sunday afternoon is hitting my face while I am still recovering from a hangover but in fact still I feel happy and full of life!
ruclips.net/video/3t1ZwTSeGUc/видео.html
I had the great honor of meeting both of these giants. James Brown at the Palace in Los Angeles and Lemmy a bajillion times at the Rainbow. Also got to dance on the streets at the Apollo for James Brown's funeral; that was a sad and beautiful day. We are so blessed to have their music and Bill McClintock's mashups. Imagine if this mashup could have happened live. I saw Miley Cyrus with the Flaming Lips at Art Basel Miami. I wish they had done a live mash-up. Maybe Bill McClintock could inspire them. P.S. @Billmcclintock you are a m*th*rf*ckn genius. Thank you so much for your amazing work.
Bill McCintock, our generation's hero.
Some of your videos are basically free tickets to the concerts that *must* be happening in the Afterlife on the regular.
They're absolutely amazing. Keep it up.
That was so fucking beautiful man. If James Brown had that sound, I would have all his material.
This is a great assortment.
I never thought the "I got soul" part was so perfect for "Overkill"!
Many are unaware of the B-side to this James Head classic, "Overbad"
Hearing James like this seriously could elevate him to be The Godfather of Metal!!
Yeah
He's already above that. He was around, giving those screams, long before Metal.

Lemmy would have loved this! He was a James Brown fan.
James was the FIRST headbanger EVER!! Watch his 1968 Boston concert! His head almost flys off into the audience!!!

Heavy metal screaming is 100% influenced by soul guys .
James and Wilson pickett and so on...
