Well, a black gospel singer named Sister Rosetta Tharpe invented rock and roll, so there ya have it. Even still today you can go to a lot of black churches and hear this kind of singing every Sunday.
He's gotta have a software that shows the Bpm and the key for any song he puts in the digital file folder. The internet radio providers like deezer, rhapsody, pandora etc. can create auto-playlists in this same way. Their software creates a list of songs with matching key and bpm in order to figure what you will like to hear next. It goes on for hours and only slightly does it alter the bpm and key, for some variety. Bill has the songs he likes, then they go into the file and it shows him the key and Bpm. Then he gets creative with the songs that are a key/bpm match and he finds the footage to cut paste and make the edited final version we see here.
