July 9th saw Paul's all-new "Out There" tour arrive in Boston to play the city's Fenway Park. Before the show Paul received a State Senate official citation in recognition of his "vast contributions to music and animal rights activism" from Massachusetts State Senator Bob Hedlund.
Paul's gig - his first visit to the home of the Boston Red Sox since August 2009 - broke his previous record for the largest single concert attendance in the history of the venue!
This was the best day of my life. Not only because I got to see Paul, but the people who I was sitting around were also extremely nice. I actually can't believe they put up with my screaming.. It's almost like Paul brings complete strangers together. It's amazing how he was actually able to make me cry, especially during Here Today. I don't mean just a few tears, but I mean full on sobbing. It feels like this experience wasn't even real. I love you Paul. You'll always be my favorite musician.

I was there in Boston and had one of the best nights of my life, traveled down from Albany, NY to see him. Loved it so much that I simply could not resist buying a VIP ticket to see him in Quebec City at the Plains of Abraham and got to watch the show from about 50-75 feet from the man, the legend, and despite the fact that I could barely stand after standing so long and a guy collapsed and I had to help him during the show it was another amazing once in a lifetime show. Hope to see him again

My mom was your biggest fan. Some of my childhood memories are of watching Paul having fun playing summertime on the Flowers in The Dirt laser disc, and she was along side me. I lost her to cancer a couple of years ago, and I bought my first guitar the day after she passed.
A grown man suddenly cried. Best concert ever.

Dear Si Paul, me mum grew up in Quincy, not far from Boston. She was born in Canada to an English Mother, so God bless for coming there, I wish she would have been alive to see you, Michele.

Didn't see the concert, but we were in Boston as part of a vacation on the day (and the night) of the concert. In fact, during a trolley tour of the city in July 9, we stopped at Fenway to drop off people interested in the stadium tour. Because I knew McCartney was playing that night, I was sure such tours would be canceled. I'd just said this to my wife when we heard the band start playing, 'Let Me Roll It' for sound check. Hope all who attended had fun.
Hey, don't lose hope. I'm positive he is going to have plenty of more shows in the future, and I'm sure he will perform in Liverpool before he stops touring for good. There are still more years to come, and I bet you will get to see him at least once. It's an amazing experience and you will love every second of it!

Next yr. when you're in towns like Boston or rural America pls go to the open air markets in the cities to the local rural farmers markets. It would mean a lot of publicity for local produce coming from you. Inform ppl they have all this great local produce on hand every year no matter where they live. Since it's local, it's less expensive and a seasonal bounty to be taken advantage of around the world.

Great shows on that tour … except for the lip-syncing for the most part and, at the one I paid $$$ for VIP tickets, his hair, during the “VIP only” sound-check (we were kept 100 rows away from the stage, AND through the entire concert, he appeared with totally disheveled hair. It made him look as though he was ill or had been “power-napping” for hours pre-sound check/pre-concert! (That was in Nashville.) I have only missed one tour of his solo touring in the US - ever! Still, it seemed quite unprofessional (and he is the Ultimate Professional) and a wee bit rude to take the money but show up with less than his best without ever mentioning what put him in such a dumpy mood and presentation… (He could have been the gentleman trouper of yrs past and said, “A bit under the weather tonight, but I feel like ROCKIN’ !” That is all we needed to hear.) Oh well, he is still the best and I do not begrudge that night’s entertainment … merely feeling about $2,000 ripped-off. If he didn’t care how he looked, and that would be highly unusual for our Sir Paul, the 25th row would have been quite satisfactory and far less expensive, right? 👨🏼⚕️🎸👨🏼⚕️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😴🌀💤
