Oshkosh would be amazing regardless just with all the private pilots that participate and show off their aircraft. But the fact that the military participates in this manner makes this undoubtedly one of the best air shows in the world.
This is one TOTALLY AWESOME VIDEO!!!!!!! The seven different aircraft in this video are rarely seen at an airshow, outside of Hurlburt Field, and Cannon AFB.
Well as with the Harriers and F-35 variant, the Osprey makes for a lackluster airplane and a poor helicopter. They were / are all very expensive solutions to a very small mission requirement which in our bloated and "money really don't matter" services could be satisfied with other available resources. However the military still pays top dollar for us to say " They sure are cool though!!"
I see ya got the Osprey. Need some hard points and install 20mm pods for a hot insertion. Didn't notice the gunship. Oh well, the pods would be good anyway.
Years ago and I mean decades ago we camped. That night a tremendous storm blew in. High winds but luckily no hail. All throughout the night I expected to see upon daylight, mangled rare airplanes but surprisingly no damage. But the thought did occur what if a freak tornado happen to snake it's way though thousand of pristine rare and one of a kind aircraft. I guess this far north such tornado generating weather is rare enough to feel comfortable holding this event in Oshkosh all these years.
The ride on the Hercules is wild. I flew on one in and out of Central America just above the treetops just as the war on drugs against the cartels and trafficking ramped up back in the nineties.
They tried taking over the MC-12W aircraft and mission from the USAF, but were restricted from participating in the operations the Air Force had played in do to the crew’s inexperience in that type of operation. They have operated the RC-12 Guardrail for many years in a separate mission parameter.
The Air Force has always been upset at being upstaged by REAL Special Ops personnel that they now name themselves as Special Operators. It's a simple C130 off-loading a few ATVs and a moped. Other than PJs and Combat Air Controllers, the AF has nothing to do with Special Ops. They need to keep to their jets and strategic bombers and pretty blue uniforms. I'm so tired of them banging on the Special Ops doors and they never get the message. Oh, and enough with the jump wings. They should be ashamed of wearing jump wings like Army and Marine paratroopers. They never went through the real jump school and instead got a few tandem jumps with instructors. Sad. The Air Force is so capable of so many other things, but ground operations are not supposed to be in their inventory. Sad.
16:13 all people speaks about C130, but this plane C145A combat coyote is ...russian and polish plane. Called Antonov 28 bryza and PZL Mielec M28 skytruck. Very rare the USA used planes from East countries. May bé reliable and rustic plane for short field performance !!!. Israël did it also with I.A.I Arava England with Short Skyvan( they are like...clones)
Cmon give those first men off the plane some proper motorcycles!! I understand that their main purpose is a metal magnet to draw fire on them but still... Bigger tires, smoke pods and of course ROCKETS !!!
This is an excellent piece of filming...why?....no shaking, no panning, no tilting, no zooming....just hold the subject in frame and leave it there....a billion smart phones users find that impossible to do.
It's great when they all work as designed. Proves money can provide the needed tools for a job. But none of it is worth salt depending on who (or what) is at the Helm of it all. Blessings to all of our Nation's line and ground military members who serve.
JTACs and PJs are trained pretty well, the rest of the "ground" forces from USAF don't hold a candle to MARSOC/SF Group guys/Seals. Every SOWT will try to say otherwise... No one likes the weather guy.
@@DylanClements98 Well, the MC-J is like ten years behind, but getting there. The first MC-Js are flown more like the P-model Combat Shadows (also retired); newer versions are getting the TF radar, and the ECM suite is finally getting tested ;) There is one MC-130H left at Hurlburt, and it goes in our airpark this Fall...
And, I still hate the V-22 Osprey. It can't autorotate or do a run on landing. In short, it still does not have a safe emergency landing procedure that is reliable.
Never understood to a point why ? Why does Air Force have to have so called Special Ops forces ? This service is about aircraft, thats their orientation. Leave the boots on the ground to Marines and Army.
Well for example TACPs act as Air Force Liasons to army troops on the ground. they have expertise in coordinating between the two branches and do things like call in precision airstrikes to limit friendly fire and increase combat efficiency

Absolutely badass aircraft! I cannot wait to see them this year as Oshkosh nears!
Retired 25 years ago and lost track of updates. Went to airshow at JBLM last week, between that and this got a good read on some of the new stuff.
Amazing performance! Impressive Herkys with those special modifications! Superb captures!
I think you should send it to Ukraine to test the performance. Up to now its a chicken show.
Congrats to the camera operator..
that was perfect.
Great footage as usual! The only thing that would help would be descriptions of each aircraft in the time line below. Thanks for the upload!
first c130 is an MC-130P Combat Shadow, 2nd is an AC-130, 3rd is an EC-130 Commando Solo III
Better answer..the Combat Shadow retired a few years ago; first plane is an MC-130H Combat Talon II..second 130 is an AC-130J…
The one with the guns hanging out the side is the Lockheed Martin AC-130J "ghostrider" reg #17-5872.
A great air show with some very interesting aircraft. It would have been great to have heard the announcer's info as the planes were landing.
Jeez I love AFSOC .
The little scooters are so cute!
Either that's a very small motorcycle or that man is a beast! Lol😅
was thinking the same.
Pit bike
Nice captures... wish I could be there!!!!
Damn ive never seen a EC-130J before. Awesome aircraft!
Looking forward to seeing the osprey demo in sioux falls, south dakota this weekend!!!!!
Ive seen that combat talon a few times in marietta when I worked at the Lockheed plant there.
Cool to see the AC-130 in the video! Not very often you see it
Love your videos airshowstuff
A0162!!! Spent many hrs on that plane lol. Miss my T2's!
So glad you don't put plane names in the video :) its fun to guess what the plane is!!!
People talk a lot of crap about the Osprey, but nothing else can do what it can do! Incredible aircraft!

Good stuff! Keep it coming. Thank you
Watch this with Allan Silvestri's The Delta Force main track in the background. It's worth it!
Great video 👍👍
Neat aircraft

Those Ospreys are so cool to watch…but, it’s too bad that so many of our servicemen have died in them.
These the dudes from Cannon AFB? Must have been nice to get out of there for a while
Nope, Hurlburt..
@@tw4982And Duke!
The Spooky gunship is from Hurlburt

18:07 And that is why we don't wear headgear on the flight line. FOD and distraction risks.
I’ve done lots of work out Hurlburt airfield and always wondered what that last c-130’s mission was for. Electronic Warfare?
Yes, that particular aircraft is the EC-130 COMMANDO SOLO Psyops platform.

Hopefully you can get the audio issues sorted out, I've heard in other videos too, otherwise great video
Anyone else think the AC-130 looks like an abrams it was carrying came unstrapped and the Barrel poked through 😅
Not an AC- 130
Ok, second ship is an AC-130
6:25 The V-22 Osprey did a drift
Ghostrider 🔥🔥🐲🀄 aka Puff the Magic Death Ship . The Deathstar we have at home
15:08 I’ve flown a lot of missions in that bird.
Don’t think you could pay me to go near an Osprey. They look right on the edge of loosing control.
Hold on just a second Airman- where’s your USAF issued reflective PT belt?!
Did that C-130 take off with a tailwind? I assume all those aircraft came in from the downwind. But the C-130 took off in that direction
GID BLESS our nation and the incredible men and women that protect it both past and present 😊
Oops… GOD BLESS….
Dam u would think they would at least spring for the 125cc bikes 80cc kinda small
Doesn't the Army fly a version of the King Air for some kind of Intel mission?
Yes
Gitmo 1 way ticket.

Show us the MH-60G’s
All of the MH-60Gs were transfered to ACC, and redesignated as HH-60G.
All the SOF 60s belong to the Army..AF 60s do CSAR..
Those bikes are so tiny!
Wonder if the shift of weight is a problem in that extract!

What aircraft is that twin cargo?
Pretty sure i skydived outta one of those at the wffc in '97

What is the c130 with the x antena on the tail and giant wing pods for? Tail# 1934
It's a flying TV/radio station, EC-130 Commando Solo
The pods house TV antennae.
C-130 3 ways
Did the Osprey pickup all 4 vehicles?
The Spectre and the Talon
That looks like an MC-130H model not a J
The small motorcycle deployed had a flat tire. Yeah , US military readiness.
anyone know what kind of motorcycles they were riding????
Still looks unstable on the Osprey
Motorcycles and ATVs... impressive.
I'm seeing a lot of redundancy in these aircraft...I'd like to see what each do specifically.
Is it possible to get some footage of the light sport activities in the evenings? Your work is amazing.
We have some footage from previous years, hoping to get down there this year but there is always so much to do!

Not a secretive sort of travel…won’t think it be good for special op, the monster is Noisey
Death Comes in the Dark
I hate to mention this but the back up alarm wasn't working on the plane and no clown outfits!
Are Ospreys bad ass? they crash regularly, and are easy targets in a hot zone.
Nice to have a reverse gear in an airplane.
ok, the planes are pretty cool, but the guys on the mini bikes got to go, hahah
They're the guys that drop behind enemy lines to retrieve shot down allied pilots, amongst other things... I'd very much like to keep those guys.
