I had a previous 5000 series shaver, but it looked a little different; it had more rounded shape around the heads. I lost that and need to replace it. Will this one work with my old charger base, even though they look a little different?

I had Philips rq1250 for more than 7 years and didn’t have any problems with it (it was brilliant). For Christmas I got S5000 as a gift and didn’t tested it out yet. Is it worth upgrading?
Hello, thanks for sharing this. 😊 We're so glad to hear about your positive experience with the SenseoTouch! At the end of the day, we believe that your choice to switch shavers really depends on how satisfied you are with your current one... and you seem quite satisfied to us. 😉 Feel free to reach out to us on Facebook (@Philips) or Twitter (@PhilipsCare) with any other questions or concerns. We will be happy to help where we can!
Hi Saffie, thanks for leaving a comment. To answer your question, no, you would not be able to cut long beards with this shaver. You would need to trim the hairs beforehand and then go over it with the shaver. Hope we were able to answer your question. If there's anything else that we can help you with, feel free to reach out. :)
Thank you for getting in touch with us, Rashmi. The Philips S5582/20 shaver is our latest model in the series. One hour of full charge will give you 60 minutes of runtime. You can also charge it with a 5-minute quick charge for one shave. It has steel precision blades and a power adapter sensor. The Philips S3122/55 shaver is an older model. One hour of full charge gives you 55 minutes of runtime, and there is no quick charge facility available for this model. It is equipped with a comfort-cut blade system. For more detailed information on both the shaver mentioned by you, see the following link: to.philips/6053Pz41z. We hope this helps. Hi there. Thanks for reaching out about your Philips Shaver S5000. It sounds like your shaver might be experiencing some performance issues due to a few common reasons. Firstly, if you haven't cleaned it regularly, debris buildup around the shaving heads could be affecting its power. Secondly, ensure you've charged it adequately for at least two hours as a low battery can impact performance. Remember, some shavers can't operate while plugged in, so ensure it's unplugged when trying to use it. Lastly, if you've recently cleaned it, double-check that all parts are reassembled correctly. If the issue persists, please get in touch via Social Media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and X (@PhilipsCare). Don’t worry, if you don’t use Social Media, you can also reach out to us via the contact page: to.philips/6052kPUL8.
I’ve just bought one of these but even after a full charge it sounds as though the battery is running down, is this normal. If anyone can help I’d really appreciate it 👍🏼
Hi Steve, sorry to hear you are experiencing some issues with your shaver. We are here to help! Please feel free to reach out to us on social media, so we can look into this issue further. Hope to speak to you soon!
People love complaining, but that really doesn’t help someone who is looking to buy a good shaver. I replaced my old Philips after like 20 years of satisfaction with one that looks similar to this, a new Series 5000 one, and it works even better than my old one, has “lift and cut” blades etc. It even says “Made in Netherlands”!! So really , not made in China???!! Anyway, I believe that at least for those who are used to this type of Philips shavers, you should be very satisfied with this - most of you. I just wish the cable was usb-c and not usb-a or, better, if the shaver had a usb-c port instead of needing its proprietary cable (on the port side). There are cheaper shavers out there, but what about the blade (and general) quality and where to find replacement blades? So for me, Philips looked like the safe choice (again).
We appreciate your insightful feedback about the Philips Shaver. Your feedback is invaluable in our continuous efforts to improve our products, and it fuels our passion for excellence and motivates us to continuously raise the bar in delivering the best consumer experience with our products. Thank you for your time and support!😀
@@Philips You’re welcome! 🙂 By the way, I still have a box of “new” HQ6 replacement heads for my previous shaver. I wish they could somehow go to someone who’s still looking for those, and if I had SH71/50 instead! 😄

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out to us. To answer your question. All I'm asking is can water get into the charging port at the bottom end of the shaver? This is your product, do you really not know your own product? 🤦
Hi there. All our current shaver ranges like the S5000 have the IPX7 rating (ingress protection code). This means that the device is waterproof, and you can keep it one meter deep into the water for almost 30 minutes, and then also your device will work without any issue. IPX7 rating is one of the most popular ratings which is given to several devices. You can find the IPX7 rating on the back of your shaver handle. Our comment in relation to not storing it near a sink or tub is related for when the device is charging and connected to the power. For safety reasons, it should not be kept near water in these instances. The shaver will not work while connected to the power supply. Our apologies for any misunderstandings, and we hope this is clear.

Hi Neale, thank you for reaching out to us. This is not the experience we want you to have with our Philips Shaver. We would like to inform you that you should trim your beard before shaving. Shaving time is also reduced by this technique. It's best to give your shaver a quick clean after each shave and then clean it more thoroughly every month. Don't press the shaver too hard against your skin. Only apply gentle pressure to make your facial hair stand upright, allowing the shaver blades to catch and cut it more easily. Props to your strategy!
This was a hilarious ad. They could have at least shown someone with a full beard and do a before-after shoot. 🤣
Yeah… but it’s not designed to shave a full beard, plus we can see a before and after, especially on the moustache. 😄
I agree with you. There are plenty of RUclips videos on how to shave a full beard @@brunosco
