Thanks for the great review. Could you mention which specific model in the series 6000 that one is? I've seen some shops selling s6880 and s6540 with quite some difference in price, but have no idea what the differences between the (sub)models in the 6000 series are.
It’s an S6650/48. The difference is the attachments they come with. So I would just see the attachments that I would find useful before making a purchase.
Hi Linda, ideally a 3 second press should lock and unlock the device. If that’s not happening, I would reach out to Phillips. The guys are pretty good with after sales service in my experience.
Really great review. So I have the Norelco 6500, and it shaves so nice. But around my Adam’s apple I get irritation. It goes away after a day or two. So I have to kind of avoid that area. Do you think that could just be my skin needing to adapt? It’s the only trouble spot I have and it bugs me that I can’t get a close shave there because it gets irritated.
Thanks Christian. From what I have experienced and what Phillips claim, the skin and facial hair take upto 4-6 weeks to get used to the new shaver. I used to get irritated skin around the lower neck with the One blade. Then I started wet-shaving with it. It killed the irritation straight away. Do you dry shave or wet shave?
@@christiansalazar4604 Agree 100%. Might have to give your skin time to get used to it. Also look into preshave balms or lotion (specifically for electric shavers). They help with moisturising the skin better to reduce irritation. Hope that helps 👍🏽
@@allydz it happened with two different razors where the motor just stops and both of them I have only had for 2 months and never put underwater. There's something wrong with the motors on these razors. I just find it so odd that on one of them the motor runs perfectly as long as I take the blades off of the top but the moment I put the blades back on the thing becomes intermittent again Very strange
@@allydz I surely have and they sent me two replacements both of which had the same problem. I got one more coming and if this one has a problem I won't be using that company any further
Yes it did. They have the same or similar razors in their range and the attachments are different in their variants. I normally look for something that I can use with multiple attachments that would be important for me
At least two important things you don't mention or show. How to install the trimmer. I came to this video for that and you cut to it already installed. Secondly, you don't mention that the shaver cannot be used when it's plugged in, you have to just wait for at least 5 minutes. Should have mentioned both of those.
From what I can see on the website, 7000 has automatic beard adapt sensor. 6000 is 360 degree rotation and 5000 is 5 direction rotation. There are other minor differences but these are the main ones.
Imo the big difference is the blade itself, Philips have quite number of blades began with "sh"but for now cmiiw the top of the line still the Sh98 that comes with series 9000 prestige series Forgot to mention the blades sometimes interchangeable like the old s9000 which use sh90 can also using the new one sh98
Thanks Lauren. Yes, it cannot cut you from my experience. A very mild pinch here & there, may be but that’s it. If new to the razor, the skin takes upto 3 weeks to adjust to a new Shaver. Hope it helps.
when u fast forward ur videos. make sure to show how long it takes in real life, not how much u sped the video up by like in ur braun video just so we get an idea of how long it would take us if we bough the same products
also thats the main thing people come to see, actually using the shaver with no fast forward. change review allocation time to show more of this and less of everything else and more people will watch your shit
@@allydz ye if u really wanna milk the views, just upload tonnes of random shaving videos with close ups, like those asmr shit. tonnes of dudes enjoy watching that if u know what i mean, but maybe title them different so people who want to see reviews wont get confused xD
That was really useful. I have seen many videos but yours was perfect. Thanks a lot
Cheers Hamed 😀
Excellent review, easy to use, nice design, compact.
🙏 Thank you

How do you get the unlock to go off and stay off I’ve done what you suggested and it comes back please respond

Informative, but the music was "noisy".
Agreed and feedback taken onboard for future videos
I thought so as well.
How do you attach the trimmer?
@@deafdogs7712 The attachment clicks in and out easily

@@allydz I prefer to dry shave with it. It’s less messy and easier.

My motor keeps stopping every time I put the razors back on the swivel
That’s not good to hear David. Out of curiosity, how long have you had it for?

Strange indeed. Worth reporting it to Philips directly as a complain, mines over a year and works perfectly.

Apologies brother. I was very new to the editing & RUclips game.
