me and my sister went on this ride for the very first time! it was sooo crazy! but we loved it i think it is the GREATEST thing disney ever created! btw great vid!!
the effect where the hallway disappears and the door is floating there is sooooo sweet. I was major impressed when I saw it live.
i love the flickering lights and whirring of machinery on that ride, makes it seem so real and intense
I miss this ride so much!! I remember my first time though-I was like 6 and I was so scared I was jumping at everything-The bellhops that would stand right behind the doors, the lightning in the TV room, etc. I remember holding onto my dad's hand for dear life before we got on-and I sat by my grandpa and he grabbed my leg and screamed while we were waiting for it to start and I flew! They all laughed at me, but I got the last laugh when it was over and I said "LET'S DO IT AGAIN! :D"
I work over at Disneyland, and I've been on that ride so much. I love it, and I can almost recite the whole ride line by line.
Didn’t the original ride also ride inside building before it went inside the elevator shaft?
My group and I rode this last Friday morning when I went to Disney World. It's an AWESOME ride! The suspense makes things even scarier. And when we (rose and) plummeted, all I could do was scream and hang on... Afterwards, I said, "Maybe I'm nuts, but... let's do that again!" My group and I rode it again later that evening!
The part that always gets me SO excited is when the doors close and the elevator becomes dark and you hear the voice. I always bounce in my seat hahaha
my 6 year old daughter went on this ride with me in Orlando earlier this week. It was awesome. She loved it.

Jeez! That ride was so Awesome! My friend and I were freaking out since it our first time on that ride! It was the one in MGM Florida. I swear, when it dropped, I started to float up a bit! God I want to go on that ride again!

Man, good job managing to film this! I couldn't even manage to stop my mouth flying open on the way down! Rofl. My mom and I rode this four times, an the ToT case members let us stay back and be the last riders! Just the two of us in the cart - pretty freaky experience! I still have dreams about this ride. lol
AHHH! success! It still brings me chills to watch it. When I first went on it at California Adventure. No one told me what it was like. It scared me so bad that I couldn't stand up afterwards. SO AWESOME! I'm going back in November for Bat's Day. Seriously can't wait to do it again
I used to be scared of the ride so much, I wouldn't ride it, but I FINALLY rode it this April and I LOVED IT!
man, these kinds of rides always make my stomach and head feel weird, and my hands and arms always feel numb. that's y i love this ride. :)
I'm really glad videos like this exist, because I don't think I'll ever go on this ride again. Just way too much anxiety/panic for me to do it. But still love the atmosphere and the visual effects!
I was on that ride during my recent spring break (The one in Florida) I could not get enough of it!! It was a blast I say!!

I love this ride so so so much!!! My sister and my friend and myself always went on this ride like 15 to 20-30 times a day it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! I miss this ride i want to go back!

omg, this is one of the best rides in disneyland. i went on it 8 times in a row, becuz there was no line. the atmosphere and stuff makes it scary, but the ride is so fun! your butt is in the air and youre holding on for dear life. lol.

Omg this brings nostalgia! I remember when I was around 6 or 8 I'd hear the scary theme music to this ("Neeno neeno") and I'd thought it'd be fun, then I got scared the bejezuss outta the ride when I saw for what it really was... God, that ride scared me! And every time we went to that Disney resort, I can hear the music and I'd cling to one of my parents and say to them "No more neeno neeno!". Anyone who was there would remind me of that song and how I'd say it...

This is my favorite ride at the park, and luckily always seems to have the shortest line!
I went on this ride when I was in 3rd grade. Seeing this video gave me an adrenaline rush for some reason. XD It scared the crap out of me.
I heart T.o.T! Honestly, the set up for it, is scarier than the ride. In class, we watched a Twilight Zone episode and when they said you have just entered the twilight zone, everyone in my lit class went Tower of Terror! Ehmagawash I love that ride!
March of 2007, I went on this ride with my mom in Anaheim and after going on the ride for the first time in my life, I went on it five other times within a three day period. Cannot wait for the next time I come back, if I ever do come back.

I just went on this for my first time about 2 days ago! I just got back. It was my first time and i was seriously scared shitless and i'm a 14 year old dude. When you first go in you go in a library and you watch this video explaining the story and then as you're waiting for the elevator you can feel all the anxiety and excitement, along with being scared! First time riding it i was scared shitless! BUT HOLY MOLY IT IS SUPER FUN! I rode it about 4 times and still scream every time it drops haha

I went to a dance camp in DisneyLand and I got to see the back of the Hollywood tower before we had to dance in the DisneyLand's California Adventure's Parade!!! ;)
I was sooo scared on this ride! I started crying! It didn't help that I was afraid of stuff like this and that my friends LOVED it! I sat out the second round
I love this ride! You can here people screaming from all the way outside! IT'S AMAZING! But kind of creepy.

gosh i remember the 1st time we went to this ride when it first opened....we were siting all the way the back....i almost got a heart attack!! but i love this ride....looking forward to go back again.

I totally screamed on my first time on this. My brother was all like "it doesn't drop until you get to the top and the doors open to the view outside" ...LIES!!! It drops before that and I had no idea! AHHH! lol
Once I went on this ride with my dad back in 2010, these people were giving out fast passes for two people! It was the luckiest moment of my life because the line was long !

This is why i love living in Anaheim. I live like 5 ,inutes from Disneyland. The old schol show is one of the best shows on television.
i just left from disney world in fl. 1 day ago and we went on this ride and much others. this ride is a favorite.
I went on to CA last summer, it was so funny when we went on this ride, everyone in my family is screaming except my Aunt and Uncle. They were just smiling as if it were a family portrait. XD
I like how one of the guys just nonchalantly says "Wooh!" while the rest of the passengers are screaming there asses off. XD
This Tower of terror, was DEFINITELY Terrifying! I Live in florida and go to WDW often and ours is cute but when I went to DCA and rode this.. I was legitimately screaming for all hell!! This one is well done! :]
my friends had to drag me on that ride and i was happy they did. SO FUN!!

This ride is awesome, it helps take my mind off things. Like I had a fever the day I went to CA adventure [i just had to go. couldnt resist] and i felt sick the whole time until I boarded the ride and the sick feeling was gone!!

It's VERY good. The atmosphere and how the hotel is decorated is very creepy. I recommend it.

In the one at Florida the drop was after they said... "the tower of terror" and thunder. Best ride I've ever been on.
rode the disney land version of this when i was 7 in 97. it was my favorite ride, i had the do not disturb plastic door hanger for the longest time. my broke. my sisters lasted.
the Tower of Terror is in California Adventure Park, which means you need Adventure Park tickets or park hopper tickets, if you are going to Disneyland Resort in California. If you're going to the Florida Disney World, you will need Hollywood Studios tickets.
I rode this December 2009 and it was AWESOME!!!

Yes, it stands for "Walt Disney World." And the ride over there incorporates a bit more, such as horizontal motion.

The thing that always creeped me out was the fact that you're literally falling faster than the speed of gravity because of the connector cables under the car pulling you down.
I was terrified going on this ride last year while I was waiting in line... It didnt help that they were wheeling out a lady that had passed out in the line, later on it turned out she was extremely dehydrated. Just looking at the ride made me feel nauseous, but I got over myself and went on it anyway. It was so fun I went on it twice in a row! The unexpected drops are the best part. I would have gone on it many more times but the wait is always long.
i know i went on it for the first time ever at dca last weekend! went on it 3 times!! loved it! i also went on california screamin for the first time ever too that day 3 times! loved it!!
