This is very useful. Do you have suggestions for better kidney function and bone marrow function? Thank you.

I usually mix fresh Turmeric with milk and a pinch of Trikatu or Black Pepper in a small blender for anti-inflammatory effects. Being a Pitta-Vata dosha, this overheats my body, especially during the Summer. What can I combine with fresh Turmeric to reduce “Pitta” aggravation?

Does it matter if the date of a herb has expired? I.e if it´s two years over the expired date.

Thank you so much! I really enjoyed it. A new subscriber :) I've got a Vata Pitta aggrevations so need to find this balance of keeping warm without overheating.
I'd love to have more beans in my diet and I heard that hing is wonderful in helping you digest them. However, I'm worried it might upset my pitta. I'll try mixing a small amount with the spices you mentioned. Perhaps just with fennel and coriander, as cumin and turmeric are still quite heating? Another question is, is it a bad idea to include both fresh ginger and a tiny amount of hing mixed with cooling spices? Thanks so much! Can't really to watch more videos on your channel!

Fresh ginger is less Pitta aggravating than dry ginger and it can be helpful with digestion. A small amount should be OK. I am not sure about hing, you might want to use it only occasionally.
As for the spice mix, the turmeric and cumin are in smaller amounts, compared to the coriander and fennel, so it's still OK for Pitta. If you find it still heating, you can reduce the amount of turmeric and cumin.
