I suppose if you added in a Capture card this might be useful for those people who want to to use this for video content coming from an HDMI source. Get a 4k Video capture card/splitter put it between the source and TV, and have it split out to the Pie should work I believe.
my diy was bought on Aliexpress and it only came with a usb output, would i have to put this output for two devices like my androidtv and one for my computer? or there is no compatible cable
we have you raspberry pi b. you use in the video. hypery test star burned under the leds when i called it. the rest did not burn. Also, I don't know what to do with libreleec after this stage. I applied the system used from hd capture hdmi.
@@harlydel65 By connecting the data and clock to RPI GPIO pins. Essentially what i gathered this box is just external GPIO pin setup. Hyperion and all the processes run on pi like it would normally, so only benefit i can come up is maybe less power drawn and those GPIO pins are free for something else, but i dont see it being worth this kit. There is multitude of projects around this for those who are interested, so might want to give them a look first if that fits to your needs better. This applying only to RPI platform, probably good for android tv's and other such platforms that do not have their own GPIO source to run the leds.
I think it's to use the LibreElec OS and maybe open apps like KODI to watch videos and movies there. This way you do not need to connect your laptop or pc because the image source is the raspberry pi.
Dont know if anyone gives a damn but if you're bored like me atm you can stream all the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my gf these days xD

has anyone setup this with hyperion and capturecard?.. do i need to cut the data cable and put it on gpupin on rpi?
Instead of this crappy music that sounds horrible, you should have put a narration to explain how to build the project!
Great. But why not connect led strip to RPI GPIO directly?
напрямую, как?

what's the advantages of the raspberry pi installation over the kit?

are you able to help? got one set from aliexpress based on raspberry pi with lbreelec - my problem is my lighting stopped working
Does this work with other HDMI sources like Xbox One X, PlayStation, Chromecast, Fire TV Stick or other Android TV Boxes? 🤔 does anybody know?
Has anyone with a smart tv tried this?
Hello, could you please list all the devices
This will not work using this tutorial, the part 'Install Hyperion on Raspberry Pi' is crucial, and MISSING.
I try in pi3 and pi4 and don’t works. Anyone have a solution?
How can I use my raspberry as hub, and switch between some HDMI sources?

@Trey Jimmy yea, I've been watching on instaflixxer for months myself :D
@Trey Jimmy definitely, I've been using instaflixxer for since december myself =)
