Regarding what people have been saying about Paul’s voice in this performance, we have to notice that the songs he has more difficulty hitting the higher notes are the older ones from early Beatles and Wings. The songs released nowadays are written within his vocal region of today. It’s normal. It’s called time. Give him a break.
Life changes, talent changes - yet his talent lives on!! I have no criticism! Paul's fabulous! His band is fabulous! 😍 We're on the same page 🙋 high-five
Why are people expecting Paul to still sound like he did in the 70's when Letting Go was released? He's a lot older than that here, but he still sounds awesome! A legendary musician, he will forever be my biggest idol.
It was perfect for that song. I haven't heard a better version of that song. He sounds almost Bowie-esque! Speaking of which, have you seen the Stevie Riks impersonation of McCartney and Bowie singing together at Abbey Road studios? It's good. ruclips.net/video/o-0RG6_eYl8/видео.html
@@ratgator I know! I just re-listened to an earlier version in concert, and then the digitally remastered version in 93, and this one is equal, has its own charm. Paul is like fine wine.
One of Paul's somewhat "minor" songs that would be a major song for any other recording artist. Love it. As I recall it was from the album "Venus and Mars".
Nobody has had more influence on my appreciation for music than Paul McCartney but, I also feel sadness in hearing the decline in his voice. Paul, Thanks for the lifetime of memories. Please keep on doing what you do!!!!
I've noticed that his brilliant ring craft let's him sing these songs that others wouldn't even attempt! There's a beauty in the stripped down way he sings songs like this now and you hear the bare bones of it and they're mighty fine bones indeed!
I've noticed that his brilliant ring craft lets him sing these songs that others wouldn't even attempt! There's a beauty in the stripped down, uncomplicated and non flashy way he sings songs like this now and you hear the bare bones of it and they're mighty fine bones indeed!
Thid man in a living legeng...it's an undescribed honour for us, 'plain mortals', being on Earth while he's making and performing his masterpieces!! I've attended 3 of his wonderful shows!!!

You can hear Clapton rocking a song like this and it becoming an anthem . at this point I have to say Paul is synonymous with rock ‘n’ roll. Southern rock fans would eat this up. So do I. Yum Yum Yum belly full of rock N roll thank you Paul. Love to digest what sir Paul serves up.. chef sir Paul
His rough voice fits this song. I'm fine with people who say his voice is shot because it is but when people say he should quit is just sad because paul enjoys it and wants to give people what he's got and when people say it's bad he won't like that
He played letting go when we saw him Saturday night in Lexington KY. AMAZING show.. Paul’s still got it! He played a little of everything.. The only song I really wanted to hear that he didn’t play was Medicine Jar. Was hoping he’d do a small tribute to Jimmy since he did one for George and John
no ones getting good when old, but Paul still did it great varying style to fit his voice....still doing better at his age...never let it go what he was doin' since the Beatles years.
For the people who are hung up on the fact that Paul is 76 and vocally not as he was is the 60's and 70's...whatever...Paul is the greatest composer and entertainer EVER. Oh yeah....he once had one of the greatest voices in the world of popular music TOO...if you want to hear it just put on the records....ya see, unlike HUMANS, records don't age!!! Thanks for an amazing new album Paul McCartney and for the soundtrack of my life!!
He sings pretty well actually, it just depends on what song he sings. A song like let me roll it is hard for him but in who cares he sounds almost perfect
This is a really good song you did a good job here on this song I think it sounds different because the sound effects from where you are producing magic eh?
Fantastic version, especially the real horns! Please take on them on tour! Hint: you also can use the live horns on the Freshen up-tour for Got to get you into my life, Despite repeated warnings, 1985, Take it away (instead of Lady Madonna), Magical mystery tour, Live and let die, Come on to me, Band on the run, Coming up, Call me back again, Long and winding road, Hunt you down!, Who cares, Mrs Vanderbilt, For no one, Dear friend, etc.

break given. His new album is number one, beating out Eminem at 2
PREACH!
Totally agree, but the impeccable timing is still there. You never lose that.
I rate Paul the greatest songwriter of his time ...some of his melodies and harmonies were absolutely beautiful.
Why are people expecting Paul to still sound like he did in the 70's when Letting Go was released? He's a lot older than that here, but he still sounds awesome! A legendary musician, he will forever be my biggest idol.
Honestly this is one of my favorite tracks from the Venus and Mars Album. It's just an instant classic.
Definitely.
I love Paul's young voice, I love his older voice!
O
I never noticed before how sexy a song this is. Last night's version (slower tempo and Paul's voice was just perfect) was GREAT! Oh, and those horns!!
"Paul´s voice was just perfect" ????
C´mon !! I love him too, he´s my IDOL, but sometimes we have to face the truth.

And what an Album that was!
This song is amazing, underrated af
Great version! I loved it!. It was like the Wings Over America. Wings forever!

He is doing okay. He can still hit the high notes in spite of his years. This song doesn't fit as vocal ability as much as it once did.
It's called being old. It's natural.
he does better than 90% of the other old time singers nowadays, and he is one of the oldest
I've noticed that his brilliant ring craft let's him sing these songs that others wouldn't even attempt!

"Like a Lucifer she'll always shine". Says a lot of what makes up Paul McCartney ... err ... Billy Shears.
The acoustics for this song were FANTASTIC! With the horn section in the middle of the room behind me, it was like watching a movie in Sensurround.
The brass section is so amazing!
Tomorrow is the first day of your Japan concert Paul!! and I will be there!! I just can't wait!! Love you Paul❤

Amazing version, I love Wings very much, a great moment of Paul career!
I think Paul's voice for this song sounds cool
one of the best moments in his concerts, when he plays this!!
bring those horns to the concerts, sounds awesome
he did!
he had the horns on Monday night in Raleigh NC. First, they were placed within the audience and later they were on stage.
Krásná písnička ❤
Don't know why but this is my absolute favourite Paul McCartney song!!!
Some good song choices for this Grand Central gig - this and Hi Hi Hi - makes me think the Freshen Up tour could have a few surprises in the set list.
Superb!!!
Awe what a entertainer
No offense to the Hofner, but I miss the Rickenbaker on this one...
that bass is too heavy for him
Wish I could tell the Difference
Best one of this show at Grand Central this evening. Great. 🖒Just Fuh King good
Saw Paul in Vegas a few years back and this song was in his set. The guys playing the horns were in the stands in the crowd, awesome! So much fun!

His voice is shot. No matter, I still and always will love him.

His voice may be shot but he can still scream and sing 3:31

darnit...i missed it! can you imagine the acoustics in grand central? must have been awesome.
Oh yeah...
King Street Station in Seattle would be a perfect venue. Acoustically superior. Come to Seattle, Paul.
Fantastic version, especially the real horns! Please take on them on tour!

Funny idea this concert in grand station
I can only dream of doing what he is doing even at 80 odd
❤❤❤❤❤🤗
great song...as if the spirit Beatles are back again!
My great late Grandfather Leo Beckwith said a few years before his death at the young age of Seventy seven; Getting old is hell~ He meant it.

I can get away with playing this at work. People around me are digging it. It's on Autoplay. 😜
It's surprising that he never lowers the songs in pitch, like other aged bands for i.e. Scorpions Live.
I love PM and Wings but this would have killed me watching this. There comes a point when itstime to say no more😢
🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵❤❤❤🙂👏👏👏
Here I let myself go 3:07

I cant believe the arm chair critics here, they are like the Media critics, Paul is in his mid 70s, vocal range is not the same, Frank Sinatra in his later life didn't have the same range, but it was still really good, Paul can still sing better than most ( whats left of them) Rockers today.
Elston Gunn The range isn’t the problem; he can still hit very high notes; the problem is the strength behind his voice
i am a big McCartney Fan.....but ......John L might would say......Stop it Stop it Paul......its ok.....its really ok......relax and chill.....your voice.....
Yes darling but I miss Linda's backing vocals Sooooo múch!!! Love ya..💓
