I know that this is a couple years late, but how did you get the check engine to come on? I have been trying to get it to come on in my m50 swap, but it's just going. I would love some help from this 3 year old video.

Mss54 is vastly different than your m50. However there plenty writeups for your m50 as its wiring is very similar to S50/52. The S54 swap requires a CAN interpreter to trigger CHECK ENGINE as in the e46 m3 the cluster handles some of the CAN duty

@@rezenclowd3 hey what issues did you have with bav rest? My cluster has issues and I’m wondering who to go with for a full refurbishment. I heard good things about e30_dad but not sure if he’s better than bavrest
