Love your work, Pauline, but remember, quite a few of the jobseeker recipients are women in their late 50s upwards who had career breaks for raising children and are not often employed and they are either divorced or their husbands have been retrenched. In the old days they could go on the pension at 63, now they have to do " volunteer" work or courses that lead nowhere, but cost the government more than the pension would have cost. A lot of these women babysit their grandchildren or take care of a disabled relative, a lot of them would like to work, but other than cleaning, there is nothing for that age bracket.

Don't understand why so much pressure is put on the unemployed to get a job when it's not even up to them. The decision solely rests with the employers whether someone is or isn't hired. So the only solution is to actually give unemployed people jobs. But they would rather pay job agencies to run a compliance scheme that punishes people for not following their rules. What is more concerning to me than dole bludgers is the financial exploitation of disabled people in the workforce. Namely the supported wage system. Entered into by companies such as coles which determines an employees percentage of worth of the minumum wage.
At places like bedford and minda the exploitation is the worst. Severely disabled adult people there are paid as little as $1 an hour. They say that people enjoy it and it gives them purpose. Not all of them. My young cousin went off the rails over it actually. Hasnt worked a day in his life since his $5 an hour ride on lawnmower job at minda....lost his spirit and work ethic over that job. Who could blame him. Not the same person he once was. Also he and others made flat pack furniture for sale at bedford during 'workshop'. No money exchanged hands for their work. You know the type they sell at Ikea or fantastic furniture? Interesting. Always wondered where that crap furniture came from.
And who made it. Now i know.
I personally call it what it is....slave labour capitalised on by big business.
These companies should be ashamed of themselves and people need to be in jail over it.

There will always be those who will take advantage of the system but many more who are unable to maintain consistent employment for a myriad of reasons. $52 a day is hardly going to help people get back on their feet or travel for interviews etc. It’s not enough to help people keep a roof over their head or even feed themselves properly. It speaks volumes that Hanson, who is supposed to know what it is like to be a battler, has forgotten what it is like now she is a wealthy politician. Shame on her!

The Govt are currently using the umemployed to beta-test the coming Social Credits System. Jobseekers now have to comply with a 'points-based system' where good behaviour improves your social credits score, and bahviour the govt doesn't like loses points. You can't make this shit up.

Exactly what it is about. Once they control your ability to eat and have a roof over your head, they own you. If they manage to get away with a digital currency, they will use the climate change scam to further control you. If you go over your weekly carbon allowance, no more burgers for you, only insects to be eaten at home as you wont be able to travel either as you were a bad citizen who went over their carbon limits. Complain about it? Say bye to your money, 'food' and house.

Seems to be well perverted with backyards shrinking, surge in migrants, extortion universities, Tafe skinned and toxic gene therapies.

Those useless families get more money than people who works . There is no incentives . Just becouse u r looking for work or someone u know doesn’t mean its not epidemic in Australia. Young Aussies are lazy , they not interested to dirty their hands . Everyone wants gym muscles , tattoos and Ferrari without lifting a finger . U can say whatever but its true. U can ask small bussiness owners . Absolutely shocking
