Why not let him complete his ten years? Up for parole at just three years is totally unbelievable. He murdered his girlfriend and his child.

This was a very odd parole hearing! Don't think I can remember one just like it! Also, not only his girlfriend, & she was 8 mos pregnant! If he hadn't run, the baby may have survived! Oddly, never did hear him say sorry! Even the victim's mother/grandmother defending him! Never have seen 1 like this!
I started counting the many times he said “um” but then I realized the board members all start their sentences with “um” - why?

The mother is trash. Who calls their child their ride or die and she has to help take care of her child! Then in full support of the murder of her child then gets her other child to support it too.
Why doo they always say they want to start there own business!?
There are a few reasons:
1. Some places off grants to start a business. That means that he can just hang out, smoke weed and avoid gainful employment for as long as possible.
And when the parole officer wants to know why he's not working he can say, "I'm busy starting my business."
Secondly, because they can't be subordinate to anyone.
They can't get along with other people, can't take even constructive criticism and over value their skills, competence, intellect and general worth.
It’s easy to say, and makes you appear to have a strong work ethic.
That parole board is a damn joke don't know how they got those jobs because they're working skills are pathetic they are very unprofessional they should not be on nobody's panel doing anything that's ridiculous this bastard killed two people and all he got was 10 wow this is unbelievable and then they going to Grant him parole maybe that's why he committed that crime in Iowa because he probably knew he wasn't going to get that much time if he was anywhere else it's a possibility he would have gotten 50 or 60 years and that's exactly what he deserves that's a shame

Why do young people not get a license? Why? I know of many that don't take responsibility for anything, What kind of mom encourages and allows her 17-year-old to live with an 18-year-old selling drugs?
It’s weird because in Iowa it seems as though people don’t. When I met my now deceased ex husband, he asked if I had a license. I was confused because everyone I’ve ever been around anyone over 16 years of age who didn’t have one. I asked him to elaborate because I thought this was some kind of license I wasn’t aware of. He responded, “a drivers license” I told him yes, I went to driving school at 15. Then he said he has one but explained that not many people he knew had one.

I'm GenX so we got our licenses ASAP, but I've seen lots of younger people nowadays not wanting to & not even wanting to leave the nest in general.
I suspect devices have something to do with it.
We WANTED to socialize with other people. That meant leaving the house & going where people are. To do that, you had to drive! And we WANTED to be our own boss, have our own place & be independent.
Now, it seems like kids not only don't want to socialize, but they actually *hate* people.
And they hate the idea of getting out, making their own decisions and (gasp!) paying bills.
It's as if adolescence is lasting an extra decade or so.

Wow, I live in Iowa and I'm kind of shocked how easy our parole board is 😳 How could they prove it was an accident for one thing?? I'd like to know if anyone that knew them knew what kind of relationship they had, any history of DV?? He could have saved her and the baby lives if he had called 911! He didn't even mention the baby barely 😕 And why would he need to learn to control his temper in prison if it was an accident 🤨🤨 How did nobody hear the gunshots at a hotel? I wonder how long after she was shot that ambulance got to her? I understand being young and scared but wow, light sentence!
