Very, very good video here man. I'm big on this character. I jumped to this game from FighterZ, asd she gave me all kinds of Yamcha vibes. The wolf aesthetic, the mock up ex wolf fang fist in her 236K, and also the mixup overhead. It just felt right. This is by far the best combo video I've found for Giovana thus far. Not just some cheap gimmicks. Actual labbing.
The only thing I would say is to be a bit more specific at times with the inputs you are using and if there are any spacing factors to consider. For example, with the dust combo at the end, it HAS to be a forward jump after HS > S. Other than that, amazing guide!
for the 0:15 combo. I can't seem to land the 5K hit unless i have them in the corner. Is there something i'm doing wrong? After the 214K they're too far for me to do 5K.
Thanks for this. I know most of these but I needed more routes from counter hit. I didn’t think 236K would wall bounce still because I can’t seem to get it
Its very height specific, and the body types will affect your timing with the dash 5K, 5S, 2HS route. But, its very easy to get down once you see the general height you need for it to bounce
thanks for the vid honzo. a really easy dust combo that does 200 exactly is hs dj hs k hs k hs hs. it seems like alternating between normals rapidly like that does real high damage no matter who you are! if you switch between characters a lot, it's a life saver to remember.
I wanna point out that the combo at 7:07 works from anywhere on the screen. It's become my favorite combo bc you get big damage and a guaranteed wallbreak if you're close enough.
Those are numpad notations, it just describes the position of the joystick with the layout of a number pad, so for example on a numpad, 5 is in the middle so the joy stick stays in the middle, and 2 is down so the joystick goes down. So a forward quarter circle kick would be described as 236k as the joystick need to meet each spot. its just easier to read and write "236k" instead of "forward quarter circle kick" for each input.
You have to delay the 6HS on some characters and at some distances, practice on both the big bodies and like millia to get a sense of the weight differences. It's sorta hard to do by sight without doing it a lot
idk if this is how you're supposed to do it, but dashing into the 5S and using that momentum makes the combo way more consistent on small bodies. also yea, delay the 6HS hits.
okay wtf, i literally just found out about this game and was looking forward to buying it on PC but the fact that these are "begginer and intermediate combos" scared me, i dont even understand what K,D 66,S, HS means jesus. probably gonna buy it anyways tho lmao
@@careblol no i dont know shit at all! so its quite helpfull actually thanks dude :D Good2know that i should get a numpad (due to playing shooters mainly i only use 60% keyboards)
Its daunting for everyone when they start, but the game also has a mission mode that parses out the info and teaches it to you one at a time, and its pretty good. I would suggest going through it first to get the basics (and even advanced stuff!)
@@jdk0derso Hey just to clarify, you don't actually need a numpad. It's just used as a notation system but you wouldn't use one to perform inputs. If you use wasd inputs for movement like in shooters: d is 6 (forward), sd is 3 (forward-down), s is 2, as is 1, and so on. So to perform 214 K you would press s, then add a, then let go of s and press your kick button.
No they should work on them, the timing is different for the three body types. A trick I use is hitting 5K when the opponent is at a certain height as they are falling ala Abel Ultra in SF4
@@Honzogonzo a lot of shit is like abel in this game. Like sols ground throw super feels like soulless when im punishing people lol. I imagine the uuuuuhhhAAAAAAH

Sorry if i missed it in the numpad notation link but what does "66" mean? Does it mean a dash? Thanks in advance, ill defo be using this vid when strive opens on pc.
No wonder they tried to make Gio seem like her combos were short.... because if someone actually labbed it like this they'd see shes a combo monster.

Thanks for making the vid, she's got a lot of combo routes!
ngl, I clicked these vids not expecting real combos.
There are so much combos in this video that it's hard to memorize. Great Vid
Literally the perfect combo video
I find that some of these drop or are harder to link on smaller characters like Ky and May
at min 0:15 the combo is: 5S, 2HS, 214K, 5K, 6HS, Delayed 6HS, Delayed 6HS
Thanks for the vid Honzo! This helps so much with the character!
Gonna main her with Sol until Jam come back - thanks for this

ty bro good ass video really got down her combo theory from this
For the 0:15 i can't seem to land the 5K unless i have them in the corner. They get too far after 214K. Is there something i'm doing wrong?
At 5:08 I can't get the first hit of jD to land consistently
0:15 how u land that after the 5k i tried it several times and either i miss or he gets yeeted and i cant conntect the 3x 6HS
nvm i was pressing hs instead of K like a dumbass but now i cant hit the last 6HS is there a delay somewhere?
@@ikkakuwu8204 yeah, there's a slight delay on the 2nd and 3rd 6HS.

I can't seem to get the 214k to land in the combo at 1:30?

Anywhere? I’m trying to connect Ventania mid screen after the second 6HS but the dummy recovers first and it’s too far away to hit.
@@HanDaimond Yea it's possible. If it makes it easier, you can skip the second 6H and miss out on a whopping 1 damage.
I’m having trouble connecting the 3rd 6HS for some reason, is there a delay I have to add or something?
@@saphdied Yeah, you have to delay the third 6HS JUST a bit to connect.
Thanks! This is really helping me out!
I love that p,p, 623S only does marginally more damage than 3 or 4 Ps in a row. Makes me feel less bad for just mashing and not getting the knockdown
So her combo basis seems to be 5S 2HS 214K 5K, substituting 214K with 236K if you're in the corner.

This is a very long and overwhelming list as a beginner lol, but really nice to have handy.
some of these (ie. 1:17 combo) dont work on most of the cast, just nagoriyuki cuz he's huge
nevermind you just have to delay the 2nd and 3rd 6HS

its counterhit only
