I look up 3d print model 1 time a month. Strangely enough I saw this exact model yesterday. How odd is that? I saw one with Velma that was even naughtier.Let me just say = WOW! That is SMOOTH print! Lucky guy! Every single one of us is aiming for the kind of smoothness you have! You did the color shades as well! They look fantastic.
The YT algoritme is a bit scary that way :) I absolutly know that Velma model, I'm working on a full scale terminator right now, but the Velma model is next on the list together with a couple of secret projects :-) And thank you so much for the comment, really appreciate it.
Having seen this exact 3D print model in real-life, the colors of the model is absolutely fantastic! It really have a very nice cartoon feel to it all! And the colors are very true to the cartoons themselves! :-D
This is brilliant. I downloaded this and am printing it , not got any experience of painting so thought I would try RUclips. Found your awesome video. One thing I did wonder was why you used different colours to print the model. I was just going to print in white as I thought that would be a good colour to paint on?
Thanks really happy that you found my video usefull :) I printed it in different colors because I had a lot of used PLA filament laying around in my workshop, so it was just to use the leftovers :) White is a good color to print in if you want to paint directly on the printed part, but I would recommend using a spray primer as it prevents the paint from chipping and it also helps the paint stick. A cheap primer from a hardware store is just fine for projects like this. Paints for tabletop miniatures are great for projects like this. Please write if you have any more questions, you are also more than welcome to write in my facebook group. Thanks for your comment,
That's beautiful mate I hope mine looks even half as nice as yours. Are you doing the Valma, Scrappydoo Shaggy and the ghost model by the same person im gonna do that it when this 1 is done.
Hi Kenny and thanks for your comment. I was actually working/painting on the Velma model when you posted :) But it will take a couple (or three) weeks before I get the time to make a video of the project as I'm also working on a full scale version of Gollum at the moment :) But I'm going to share some WIP pictures on the Hobby World Facebook group: facebook.com/groups/128930785936319 If you are on FB you are more than welcome to join and share pictures of your model too, it's always nice to see other peoples work. And if you have any questions about how I have painted mine you are welcome to write, I'd be happy to help :) I have always liked the thought of our hobby as a place where we can all share and help each other with ideas and inspiration. And once again thanks for your comment :)
No worries, still working on the Terminator :) I just had to take a small break from the project and do something else for a weekend to stay motivated. I'm working on the last part of the T-800 this week and next week. It takes me a couple of days to edit the video and then I'll upload the next episode. I also have a couple of other exciting projects on the to do list (including a couple of epic Terminator projects) :)
Hi and thanks for the question :) The paint is from Scale 75 - Scalecolor, The color is called Light Skin and has the number SC-18. Hope you can find it (just write again if you have any questions), and good luck with your project.
