Oh Maannn, boy I know about car fires. Lost my Vette waiting for the Fire department. Plastic cars burn Fast. Right after the body shop work, I'll never forget the smell of burnt fiberglass. I have other interest besides Foxes & Foxes. lol It seems when you get past 4 items that still need TLC things start to get Over Whelming & loss of motivation. That's how Life goes & you gotta "Keep pushin' On."
It’s a blessing and a curse. Something always needs repair, but when it’s garage cleaning day and my yard is filled with foxes/older mustangs it always puts a smile on my face.
i live in the rust belt, so it helps when rust prevents me from loosening a fastener to hose it down with penetrant and move on to the next project. but when you own many registered vehicles, you're just constantly deciding which has the most gas versus makes the least noise when you grab the keys. you chase problems and eventually i avoid buying "new" ones by spending that money i don't have to work on what I still have.
when you no longer can store another vehicle in a way it won't rust by the time you get to it, you've hit your limit.
The black cobra with directional wheels i love it
I have 1 Fox and not enough time for it. I’d love to have 1 or 2 more though lol. Finding them, acquiring and just having is also fun. Seems to me that you enjoy that entire process. Which I would too. But they are not going anywhere. You’ll get to each one when you can. I admire your collection and think it is great for your channel. I never know what I’m going to be looking at because of your many cars and the many cars you pick up. Much much better than looking at the same 1 or 2 cars that the normal guy has for his channel. Between the cars you have, the cars you pick up and the DYI videos you have one of the best channels out there, if not the best!
I put a limit on myself and try to keep it. I couldn’t imagine trying to own that many cars by the costs alone. Insurance, fluids, maintenance, putting plates on them, and repairs. I get the thrill of the hunt to find certain cars or the desire to have variety. At some point it gets overwhelming though and gets out of hand and you’re doing yourself a disservice.
You’re obviously successful at what you’re doing right now. I’m not sure if you have another full time job or if RUclips and rebuilding these cars is now your full time thing. Sounds like you could make fox restoration a career too. Have you ever thought about building a car such as your Cali coupe for the soul reason of selling? Do what you do now with the content you create while making a video of the progress. Then sell the project. Do a few of those a year and depending on the market/price point you could make a decent living what you already do.
The most successful car guys I know really know themselves. For example, I know dudes that don’t do body work, they could build a car and it would stay in primer forever…so they buy clean chassis’s and stick to drivetrain work. Another guy I know is a perfectionist and he doesn’t start a project until he’s sold the prior car. I think two cars would be analysis paralysis for him.
Another thing that seems to help is to find a niche and stick to those cars…like you do with fox bodies. You learn the tricks, know the parts, accumulate parts. It just makes things way easier. You’ll probably spend 10x the time on that Lincoln than a similar foxbody project.
I can definitely relate to your comment and appreciate it!
Damn Chris i have a hard figuring on how many cars you have in your main shop space, i could not imagine trying
to keep up with so many awesome looking vehicles is well beyond me. You have a great collection,
You have a lot of motivation in what you do.
I usually have a few fox bodies at any given moment. I really do try to stay away from project cars now. Just keeping the drivers going is project enough for me.
ha ha ha !!! hey Chris you're the Jay Leno of Fox bodies !...but I know exactly what you mean...I have two & can hardly keep up
So many killer fox builds. I always enjoy the view and ideas. Fox body's will teach you two things... Patience and how to curse 🤘
I bet everything you walk in that shop you smile, I sure would lol. To have a collection like yours must be a full time job, thanks for saving them and keeping them beautiful, from a fellow Canadian fox fan.
Keep all the foxbodies man, they are just going up in value and they aint making anymore of them!! I sold I lifted jeep xj I built from stock and wish I never had.
If I just had one project nothing would get done. I have 8 foxbodies and get burnt out on a car many times and will jump to the next and it helps with my motivation. Sometimes no matter how much you like a car you will always get burnt out working on it. Really liked your take on having many projects.
Yep going back and forth and switching things up definitely helps
I pull my hair out of my head at times owning one, let alone 50 lol. Sweet collection tho!!
I appreciate this video! I am personally happy with my one project. In my opinion… 30+ year old Foxbodies are high maintenance. Definitely worth it to have one that is for sure.
You can either hire someone to help as a shop assistant, or just downsize to half the cars. That's a very large collection for anyone. Not sure what the purpose is of having so many cars. Are you trying to make money, or holding them just to have.
Having a lot of cars is work! Lol! Personally, 5 or 6 would be a good number for me since I have just enough garage room if I remove a wall in my garage. My 87 LX hatch, my 16 GT, a 65 fastback restomod (Revology?), a 93 Cobra, a S550 GT-350, and something new for a "daily" like an Explorer ST or a Maverick ST if they build one. But first I need that lottery win to buy them!
Great collection, never too many LOL Appreciate the content good work Mustang Man!!
All this time I thought you would fix them and sell them...😀
Haha Only so much time / $$$!! Only have 6 and that’s just too much to keep moving and serviced. As you get older you just have to let them go!! Lots of people who will enjoy them!!
Yep I've been thinking about it
@@TheInfamousProject it’s a tough one to let them go!! I have 3 of mine up now!!!
Awesome video! Glad to see so many cars you’ve got.
Thank you! I still need to get down your way!
If you can afford it why not. But if its dragging you down down size?! Either way good luck with all the maintaining Cuz those are so nice whips 😎
No it's not good . ITS FUCKING AWESOME !!!
Is have to many foxbodies good or bad .....probably bad lol as a SHO collector I know having alot of cars is a headache keeping them up can be challenging I keep my cars on a schedule as to which one I drive once a month keeping them clean and well maintained can been overwhelming at times .....I also have a few foxbodies as well
Great video, and Nice Collection!
I have 4 cars here, and 2 at my dads house and that’s too many! If it were my job, I could probably juggle a few more, lol. Don’t think I could handle 25 like you!
Amazing collection. Always enjoy your videos. You’ve got more than most can handle but you manage and I enjoy watching. You’ve got even more out back of the shop in Texas. Yeah parts cars and what not. The Godzilla swap F1 back there. I’ve seen a square body Chevy in the background. Where’s project come and take it? You didn’t mention it and I didn’t see it there.
I absolutely love that strawberry fox I used to watch all your videos all the time bro I sold my fox and stopped I got into the honda scene now but watching this makes me want to sell my Hondas and get back to driving a foxbody
That would be the right choice haha
Hi Chris. Great video! I sure do remember that night with your hatch and my t-top. Great times.
I don’t know how you do it. I’m at my limit for cars right now.
Life was a lot simpler back then!
Beautiful collection. How the hell can you afford all those cars.
Love the borbets and I believe ROH up top . I had ROH 17 on my 90 saleen copycat .
I miss that car so much . It was such a big part of my life in the worst time in my life . My mustang kept me alive . So many high when I had so many lows in my life
Lol we were just talking all the elbow grease it takes to wax those cars!!!
Just sell gearhead the 86 once Spike is finished with the 86 notch.🤷🏼♂️
Totally agree on your topic today!
Love choices, but having so many to care for can be tough, basically a full time job in itself!
If you are interested passing on the Saleen, Could you dm me with some info on your saleen?
I have the same problem with wives...
Very cool collection sir! 🔥💯💪🏾
Thank you!
@@TheInfamousProject very welcome!
Blue one looks like the one i had
Now I can see why you were upset only getting an 81$ discount at Lmr. 🙁.
Foxbodies are the ones to have i want another one bad
Chris simple answer buddy- clone yourself! Lol. Hey what ever happened with super newf? That was a pretty badass car.
It ended up going to a very close friend of mine. He always wanted a car that color and it just made sense for it to go to someone who would really appreciate it
Do currently have any foxbody for sale?
No such thing as too many fox bodies lol. Chris i didnt know you were from Peterborough, too funny i was raised there public school, high school etc. Used to drive a pearl purple notch with a Dech kit back in the day also racing up and down landsdowne street haha.
I remember a Joe Landon?? Who had a purple notch with a DECH kit. Car was badass.
Let me know which one you would like to sell. I could use just one.
Great subject. When is enough enough? Smaller level than you but 4 bikes, two Mustangs, an mk3 supra plus daily and work truck
Can I please have a car? Yu have too many:)
Owning to many cars is like putting to much makeup on a supermodel, you end up with a clown. 🤡 it just becomes lame and boring to have so much. Not trying to offend but to much of anything isn’t good for anyone.
