Thank you for taking the time to do the video. I have a 1977 GL1000, two (1980 & 82) GL1100, two (93 & 97) GL1500s, a Rune 1800 (5th generation engine). and 1 have had the 6th generation (2019) GL1800. I must say I like the GL1500 the best. Well equiped + Smoothest engine of them all, and especially how relatively cheap you can buy one in excellent condition. Truly a real bargain, cheap fun.

    Great video.
I rode a 2020 Goldwing, a 2010 Goldwing. Very nice bikes but, I prefer my 1991 Goldwing GL1500 SE the best. More storage space, easy to work on myself and a bullet proof motor and trany. Heck, the bike will probably outlive me.
She is just broken in at 250,000km.
She still runs like new bike.
    Ride safe.

You answered your question. IT IS ALL ABOUT PREFERENCE! ALL GOLDWINGS ARE EXCELLENT! I have had 2 1500's and now have a '07 1800. Like you I bought them because of the color. I also like your shirt.

Hello I’m in talks with 3 sellers for 06, 09 and 2010 goldwings for sale each have about 500-900 costlier than previous year. I’m inclined towards 2010 as it has a little lower miles. But ivetheard and read that mileage is not really your criteria for decision making for purchase. What’s your opinion

Enjoyed the video. Well spoken and intelligent presentation. Your content omits the Honda fiasco for 2001 through 2004/2005 model years with cracked aluminum frames. A huge safety issue that forced Honda to create a "lifetime" free warranty inspection/repair/certification. NHTSA was not amused to say the least. In response, Honda left Marysville, OH, and went back to Japanese manufacturing a few years later (2009). The weight issue in Gen 6 Goldwings (2018 and after) was never about youth. It was squarely aimed at the aging rider (its core sales segment) having perpetual difficulty handling the near 1,000lb behemoth. BTW, IMHO no amount of marketing will ever get "youth" to buy a Goldwing. Ever seen any? If so, please send me a link/reference. Harley has already tried the "youth market" with their eco-friendly electric LiveWire, and failed miserably. Ride safe!!

2023 tour, 6 speed manual. The transmission is SO much better than the gen 5.

Curious to know how tall you are? I really want a 2012-17 goldwing but being 6' it is not the best space on my legs so I am holding back. The newer 2018 bikes have much better leg space but I can't afford one. I also understand the gl1500 is better leg space than gl1800. Any comment?

Yes, they had much more leg room
