All of the Chicago Benge Trumpets I have Played they sound amazing but are very tired with poor compression. We had a Burbank in the shop a few years ago that was almost as good as this one but for some reason this horn really is incredible!
Nice. How about showing a cheaper .468. Reynolds Medalist with z braces? Are there other cheaper large bores? Bore size isn’t always obvious to the player, I think I’ve heard you say.
If I didn’t already own a Benge I’d be tempted....your clip with the two mouthpieces really shows the versatility and crispness of this horn. I have an LA Benge 5X ML bore from 1983 and I’m the first owner. It’s been my main horn for years. It’s a great horn. Mine has a few more dings than yours...can you recommend a good Benge repair shop if I ever want to get those removed? Benge horns record very well! I still have my 71 Benge which I bought brand new for 550.
Great playing Trent 👍.
To My ears the Benge trumpets and the Old recording are the best sounding horns.
Yes these Benge Trumpets "tape" so well!
That is one of the best sounding horns I have ever heard or played….. honest classics rich full - the sound in my head

Glad you like it!
I've got a large bore Burbank Benge that's somewhat older.
Really sounded sweet.
It's an awesome trumpet!
John here from Honduras. Awesome horn.
Thanks so much for watching! Happy New Year!
What is your favorite Benge model you’ve ever played? Was it a Chicago, Burbank, or LA?
