Awwww!! Congratulations! This was SO cute. My wedding was $1000 for everything. My husband and I both have very simple taste, and we did most of it ourselves. My dress came from a small shop in town. It was custome made for a wedding that never happened. It was a little unusual but perfect for me and only cost $95. YES PLEASE. The church was free because we were members, and my husband actually decorated the whole auditorium himself using things he found in their basement. We made the invitations and my mom made the cake. We then spent $1000 on our honeymoon and got a beach house on Emerald Isle N.C. looking back I wouldn't change a thing.

Our wedding came in under 2k and we did it all. Photos, catering, flowers/decor, paid for our bridal parties outfits, gorgeous eBay dress, honeymooned on an island. A ton of work, DIY, and several sleepless nights leading up to it, but it totally can be done!
christina Honeycutt 2K is my target!!! But we are planning for 100 guests! Luckily, my friends and I plan lots of parties (including a 400 people 3 day festivals) so I am hoping that my friends can help us out. Then my husband to be is very crafty and is looking forward to making all the decor!
Loved this sit down talk about wedding budgeting! It's SO easy to get carried away and overwhelmed with the entire planning process. Identifying your must-haves is a huge help. Congrats to Daniel and Allison!!!
One thing I would say about your photography is that beside your spouse and rings...the photos are the only thing you have left after a wedding. It is worth to get a good photographer you can afford. And to save money by negotiate to have the images and you build your own photo books.

We had a wedding budget of $5,500 and stuck to it. We paid for it ourselves and with cash.
Mine was 4k back in 2014 with honeymoon included, 50 people and my wedding dress included, we made it happened:-) Cancun is so cheap lol
