Ghetts is most DEFINITELY an artist that derived from Grime, the flows you're hearing are grime flows!
Ghetts ascended a while back and has been able to adapt to multiple genres since as he's mastered his craft..
Some of the young bucks will act like they knew or remember but they weren't around them times and will have to use RUclips to see the old skool Ghetts.
He's come along way! But is definitely a child of Grime, you can ALWAYS tell by the cadence and skippy flow if an artist ascended from grime.

Yeaa Ghetts is an OG in the grime scene, when grime first formed there was Wiley, Skepta, Ghetts, Scorcher, Wretch, Devilman, people like that, Ghetts was called Ghetto back then, and his flow and rhyme pattern was alien to everyone. I started listening to grime about 18 years ago, and I really didn't like Ghetts because I could barely hear what he was saying. Now he's a permanent fixture in my top 3. Bro has bars to rival anyone, he has flow and pocket finding abilities above anyone on earth. He doesnt write anything down just the classic Jay Z thing of pacing and then going in the booth. Bro is solidified in UK Rap, and arguably the best in the country. For me its about the vibe and the feeling. When you see someone do something so effortlessly its hard to deny. We have some insane rappers here like Durty Goodz and Mic Righteous but I think Ghetts tops both. We have good wordsmiths here like Dave and Wretch, but I think Ghetts tops them both... Ghetts Fire in the booth 3 would be a good starting point if you did more Ghetts, and you NEED to do Wretch 32 Fire in the Booth pt5 !
Potter Payper is alot of peoples favourite rapper but im not a massive fan, definitely not bad ! But hes not in my top 10. You will find alot of middle class white kids have him as number 1 in the country though.

The OG's of grime included wiley, dizzee, ghetts (knows as ghetto at the time), kano and Lethal B. Closley followed by wretch 32, skepta, JME, giggs and others.
Grime BPM is around 140 where as hip hop is obviously slower. Grime also changed the game with the way beats were made. Some of the most famous grime beats would be golly gosh, creeper, oi among others. A lot of the grime OGs also have tracks on hip hop beats. Grime was the new sound of a generation in around 2000 onwards and was influenced by hip hop, 2 step and garage.
Wiley is concidered the godfather of grime as he produiced some of the eailiest instrumentals that created the sound. His crew, roll deep, are legendary.
Grime has since gone on to influence UK drill.
The reason that these OGs are so real is because NO mainstream businesses were involved at the beginning. These were just hood dudes who tried a ting and it was revolutionary!
I highly recommend Kano - fire in the booth. He is one of the last OGs that you have not reacted to who truly defined grime and are still here.
Also, swiss - daily duppy is lyrically mind blowing. He was also a member of roll deep and came up with wiley, dizzee and others.

British rap, hip hop and Grime is younger than American hiphop and a lot of these artists like Ghetts helped literally build the British scene into what it is today, from pirate radios and underground Grime clashes to THIS without the money thrown at it. A lot of British rap is about lyricism.
Even though Ghetts is an OG he has only just released his first big studio album. Conflict of interest is a mastepiece.
