The Halo soundtracks have always been my fave and never disappoint. Through the Trees, Under Cover and Sequence are my top 3 for Infinite. Also, the multiplayer OST post-rock medley hits hard too. Would love to hear your thoughts on that in the future! ✌🏼
The music is beyond words of explaining like it just needs no explanation you know it's halo Like it was good enough to make a grown man cry and that's a good thing
Now that was one hell of a time. Really happy to finally catch you on stream! Some of my reccomendations for the possible future: Little nightmares, Ori, League champion themes, Donkey Kong country tropical freeze, Made in Abyss(anime), Mario Galaxy, Dune, Terraria. Hope its not to much. Dont wanna be annoying :I Keep up the good work.
I'm absolutely going to watch this stream's VOD after I play the game but I don't wanna spoil the music for myself, the game's main campaign goes live in 30 minutes!! I'm pretty excited. It doesn't need to be for a stream but I'd love if you found time to take a look at some of the other Halo soundtracks done by Marty O'Donnel if you haven't heard them sometime. A lot of people know the main theme songs of Halo but there's so many underrated tracks throughout the series. I still think about Halo 3: ODST's soundtrack a lot, it's such a huge departure from the original halo musical formula in an incredible way. Sorry for the long as hell comment. I love Halo
I don't follow the Halo series, BUT I'm super excited for this nonetheless because they got Gareth Coker to do some of the music. Gareth Coker did the soundtrack for Ori and the Blind Forest and it's sequel, absolutely gorgeous stuff that you should totally react to. Gareth Coker did "Know My Legend" and "The Road" plus a bunch of the other tracks on here that you listened to. The other 2 composers who worked on the OST were Curtis Schweitzer and Joel Corelitz, I haven't heard of them before but they did a great job as well, really nice stuff.
Go and listen to the original halo soundtracks by Martin O' Donnell and Michael Salvatori. Gareth Coker did a great job honoring their legacy but there is still nothing like the originals
Something to note about this OST that I hadn't always noticed while playing, but a lot of the songs contain references to others. Some are very obvious (Zeta Halo, Reverie, Hunter Dance, The Road), but others not so much. For example, at around 43:15 during Ransom Keep, a set of higher strings play a few measures reminiscent of a piece from Halo 3 ODST. I forget the name of the piece itself, but I believe it plays when you are playing as Buck fighting your way to a downed Pelican at the top of some buildings. This game and its OST are meant to be a love letter to the fans of the series. Whether the game succeeded or not I leave up to interpretation, but I think the OST definitely did, and I highly recommend listening to the other OSTs, as they are really good.
Would love to see you do the Terraria soundtrack. It’s definitely one of my favorites of all time. Also wanted to add that I find it very impressive that you can stream for hours at a time and just sit there, listen, and analyze music!
YES. Found you through your Minecraft reactions and all I can say is, you NEED to listen to all the soundtracks of the halo games. The Halo OST is what got me to become a musician and every game has some great tracks and lots of emotion. The games themselves are really good but the soundtrack has definitely always made me come back
I think 343 really did Halo justice with Infinite and its soundtrack. They went back to a more Halo style soundtrack and toned back the story to a more classic Halo feel. When I played Infinite I got the feeling I had in Combat Evolved it was so good.
I see you liked under cover and that is one of my favorite halo tracks of all time! You should try listening the previous halo soundtracks since some of them have the same song (under cover of the night). You should start with Halo: Combat Evolved to later installments. Why? There is a common thing where all of the halo soundtracks reuse or reiterate tracks from game to game. You can see and hear the evolution of the halo soundtracks per-game and it's pretty cool!
Really been enjoying these game ost reaction videos and it would be a pleasure to see you react to the Nier Automata OST as it won the award for score/music of the year in 2017.
This was awesome also Halo infinite has its own multiplayer ost which is amazing and it has a large post-rock influence, just look up the post rock medley for Halo infinite on youtube and it'll show up
I'd love to see you react to the Ace Combat 7 soundtrack. The music in this franchise has always been incredible, it has some of the greatest instrumentations I've ever heard in videogame music. If you do make sure you include the dlc music as well. 👍🏻
I would love to see your reaction and opinion on Halo Infinite’s multiplayer soundtrack!!! It’s a whole Post-Rock heaven!!! Cheers and beautiful day mate!
I would honestly love for you to listen to the a hat in time soundtrack. It might be very long but the music is extremely good. My personal favourite is Battle of award 42
If I may, a future recommendation of mine would be the Metal Gear Rising OST. The songs themselves are good, but how they transition in gameplay are just amazing. For example, it'll find a certain part to cut to for a specific event, or fade in the lyrics when you enter the second half of a fight.
congratulations on 10k subs my man, love all your videos and streams, you are really underrated. also since i love all of your video game ost reaction stream, i recommend Katana Zero, has one of the best ost of all time in my opinion
Great reaction, you honestly deserve more for the in-depth and well described perceptions of the aspects of the songs, and if I were to recommend another soundtrack, I’d say anything from the Kirby series, probably Star Allies
Gareth Goker really puts depth into his each and every single art piece, and so far, i just know he made the OST for Ori and ARK: Survival Evolved (which btw i heavily recommend listening to it when you have time, pieces like ARK: Aberration is just chilling)
Please react next to ost from both Ori games, The Messenger, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Jazz Jackrabbit 2, Child of Light, The Binding of Isaac (both Wrath of the Lamb and Rebirth have amazing soundtracks), Katana Zero, or Nier Automata and Nier Replicant. Im sure you gonna love these! :D
It’s very nice to have your point of view about these musics, I’m a big fan of Kevin Penkin work, and i would really like to have your reaction on the 2nd album of the Made in Abyss anime. If you like huge orchestra with some synth and big reverb, i can assure that you will love it.
If you can get your hands on Kevin Penkin's work in Made in Abyss and Tower of God, I think there are a lot of tracks you would be interested in. Definitely worth a stream or two
17 tracks in so far and it's interesting how Joel and Curtis' tracks tend to sound more Gareth Coker-y in texture/instrumentation while Gareth himself seems to have deliberately stepped away from his Ori sound and opted for a lot more low Cellos as his signature sound for this OST. You can still tell Coker's tracks by ear though cause they have his fun rhythmic sensibilities all over them, plus the rapid string lines that weave up and down, very Ori sounding. I hope this guy goes onto to do a million OSTs, I can't wait to hear more from him, and see him tackle different styles and games. Getting ahead of myself though cause I haven't even heard all his music for this one yet!
It might have to do with him trying to stay true to halos original sound in the earlier games they had a lot of cellos it sounds good either way looking forward to his future work
I've got some suggestions for game soundtracks. 1. Katana Zero 2. Subnautica and Subnautica Below Zero 3. Bug fables 4. Shovel Knight, if you don't mind chiptune.
Hey man loved your hollow knight reaction that games music is holy. I think risk of rain 2 has got some fantastic music if you want to give it a listen :)
Interesting, there's like 10 or so more songs that play in the menus and in multiplayer, but they are not included in some of the soundtrack playlists. Edit: And there's also a couple of 8 bit remixes that aren't on this playlist as well, those are really great.
if you're taking any suggestions, may i recommend the Ace Combat series? they have some pretty incredible OSTs that are not just iconic to fans, but just epics songs overall. I suggest OSTs from Ace Combat 5,6,7 and Zero for the best songs
Idk how much this is wanted but I think you should listen to Splatoon 1 and 2's OST including the octo expansion dlc, the music is so delightfully goofy, weird, and genuinely has some bops
I've suggested this once so maybe it got drowned by the other requests, but I would love to see you react to the soundtrack of LISA The Painful and Joyful, along with its fan games. Most notably LISA The Hopeful, LISA The Timeless, and LISA The Pointless: Scholar of the Wilbur Sin
Heya, IU know I have been begging for FNF like forever know. But I thought of a different one. You should listen to the entirety of the Hat in Time OST. It is truly a hidden gem in the music business and needs more love in my opinion.
literally all the bungie halo OSTs are amazing (halo 1 - reach) but id say Halo 2 has is the best main line soundtrack and Halo ODST is the best overall.
Now bungie did a better job at managing the games and all, and then 343 kinda... messed it up a little... And I understand that the games aren't as good as they used to be, but they definitely got the music on point. However, I get some people don't like the games, but don't you DARE I n s u l t t h e s o u n d t r a c k
When you listen to the Halo 2 soundtrack, make sure to listen to the original, not the remastered. I mean, remastered is amazing, but original is original.
ok. Excluding the multiplayer. Halo infinite is one of the best Halos we've seen outside of Bungie. but it's far too short and lacks content. I can't wait for Campaign DLCs to release

Zeta Halo gives me chills. God it’s beautiful. It’s a beautiful rendition of the original theme.

Don't forget 4 and Reach, both have some amazing tracks
And Reach, Halo Wars 1 and 2 and he’ll Halo 4 and 5 have a a few gems too

Halo Infinite’s soundtrack hits straight for the heart just like Bungie originals, it literally calls me home.
The Halo soundtracks have always been my fave and never disappoint. Through the Trees, Under Cover and Sequence are my top 3 for Infinite. Also, the multiplayer OST post-rock medley hits hard too. Would love to hear your thoughts on that in the future! ✌🏼
