Those aren't "little things" these cops are disgusting POS's. They constantly abuse their power, treat people like animals and work for a system that is profiting off of the harm it causes to the US population. The cops and prisons use and abuse and profit off of the civilians... these people make me sick.

There are a lot officers out there who want to be an officer to protect and serve the community.
But I gotta agree with you. Just remember that any service, project or government controlled entity is there to make money. No government is going to invest a bunch of taxpayers money without getting a return on investment. @@Heal_Houndgo outside
@@Avogadros_number why?
How do you penalize a citizen who doesn't know the law? Jail time, how do you penalize a cop who doesn't know the law? Qualify immunity
Yea and no. Qualified immunity was meant to protect law enforcement officers who technically break the law while executing their duty responsibly. For instance, an officer who has to go faster than the speed limit to catch a person who is fleeing. Technically the officer committed a speeding violation, however, the officer was doing so in the execution of their duty. Similarly, if an officer is returning fire at a suspect and someone is injured, killed or property is damaged, an officer is protected from criminal prosecution, though not always civil liability. Qualified immunity is a necessary thing, when it is applied as intended, but like most privileged given to people, it is bastardized and used in a way that wasn't the intention of the idea or policy to begin with.

I wouldn’t go that far. Kind of like how a cop can arrest you for drugs but then the district attorney just decides not to prosecute you (California). It doesn’t make sense in our system.
I had all charges dropped against me for DUI after crashing into a tractor trailer. I was trashed passed out behind the wheel and was resuscitated on my way to the ER where I woke up 8 hrs later handcuffed to the bed not remembering a dam thing. The cop assuming I was intoxicated handcuffed me as I’m unconscious well since he had no way of proving my intoxication everything after him handcuffing me was suppressed including the only thing that could prove a DUI, the blood test. It was a rookie mistake but after the suppression of the blood test I walked Scott free. I mean not exactly Scott free my truck with only 3000 mi was totaled after they had to cut me out snd numerous fractures I still feel that pain 15 yrs later but no charges. The cop should not have to pay anything for him not understanding the situation. You can’t teach a cop everything in 6mos.

Civilian should have been reimbursed by this inept PD
They took him in on suspicion of being under the influence of narcotics, and it even shows that in the beginning of the video, up at the top. The officer even says, "I didn't say you were drinking, Sir." They knew he wasn't drunk, but his behavior suggested something wasn't right and they even ask one another if it's possibly a medical emergency multiple times. I went through and read everything that took place -- including a transcript of every statement made by the police officers and the firefighter -- and his behavior was bizarre, he failed multiple parts of his sobriety test, and the police actually didn't even want to arrest him. Even the anti-police websites list the things the man did that made the two officers believe he was under the influence of something. He gave them plenty of reason to be suspicious regardless of whether or not he was on anything other than the Adderall he mentions. Unfortunately, most meth users claim to police that they've only had Adderall, so that's become a claim that you have to take with a grain of salt. Regardless, there's so much more to this story that doesn't fit the narrative being pushed by this channel. I can't say what the police did was entirely right or wrong, but he did give them multiple reasons to think something was wrong with him or that he was under the influence.

Went through the same situation. Charged OWI/wreckless driving. After a 2 day hold, $1000 bail, $300 to get car out, $2k for lawyer, all test came back clean, then was forced to plead to a criminal recklessness with no video, audio or radar speed as proof. $$3500 later I take a plea to avoid a $5k trial in which it’s my word against 2 cops, with no evidence after the OWI was already proven to be BS after my blood test came back 10 months later. how can you blow o.oo and be arrested for DUI ??
Because it was the officer's OPINION that he was intoxicated. That's it. Field Sobriety tests are an OPINION. Let that sink in.
There are other videos that you can see online where they blew a 0.00 and they still took them to jail. Some even had to prove no other drugs were in their system with a blood test. But in the meantime you're guilty. Also some were released at the station. Some cops just don't care
As a paid firefighter, a DUI/DWI could be a career death sentence. No license means no driving a rescue or engine, which - depending on ranking - might put someone into an out-of-pay status that eventually leads to termination.
