- Every attempt from the Stone-to-Shoulder event at the 2018 Arnold Strongman Classic, newly condensed into a quick 23 minutes. In this challenge, the athletes had to lift Odd Haugen's 420LB Tombstone to their shoulder for as many reps as possible. Original Event Date: March 2, 2018. Columbus, Ohio.
With the likes of Hafthor Bjornsson, Brian Shaw, and JF Caron in the mix, this event proved to be a showcase for 25 year-old Mateusz Kieliszkowski, who somehow handled the infamous Tombstone like a bag of groceries.

Oh god i hope that we will see this in 2024. It’s by far my favorite Arnold’s event!
Mateusz Kieliszkowski would clearly win this event. That could be a big factor as to if they include it or not. Hes weaker on deadlift so this could balance out the points for him and make it more competitive.
@@MsStevo2000Martins is also incredibly good at this event. We've just never seen him push it, because the year that Mateusz did 5, Martins dropped the stone off the stage and they kept the time running, and then the next time he did it, he had won the comp with one rep and did a second rep just to win the event.
Hercules you're personal God belief that you spread so easy
Hopefully guys can prepare and be ready so they can make it competitive.
WE NEED A STONE TO SHOULDER FOR MAX SAY IT WITH ME!
This is true strongman event - You need balance, coordination, explosivity, grip strenght etc.
We should have more of this in strongman.
100% agree! Thats what the Shaw-Classic needs more of, less machine-events and more of this primal stuff.
To this day, *only 8 men* have ever shouldered this stone: Marunde, Licis, Kieliszkowski, Shivlyakov, 👑 Bjornsson, Belsak, Thompson and Novikov.
I wish that we could still see Belsak competing.

Man, he just wore himself down in those few years. He was competing in pretty much every comp he could. By the time of his last ASC he could barely walk! That hip was destroyed.
My favorite Belsak moment is probably the Atlas Stone to Shoulder for reps (I forget the comp). He had the bounce going and benefitted from it. 😂
It was good to see him on Loz's video of Rauno's birthday. He seems to be doing well after getting the hip replacement surgery.
A big Matjaz Belsak fan here as well. One of my all time favourites!
8:12 come on guys, we all came here for this
Mateusz at this event Is one of, if not the most impressive feat of strength I've ever seen
Kiels out to fully mog everyone
It is crazy how strong Mateusz is at certain events. The guy just blows my mind. If only he could deadlift he'd be unstoppable.
Mateusz is a superhero. His nickname is Toffee Man
Mateusz is shy so he went off stage after his lifts. Humble Giant.
Nah he actually went into the back to flog himself for not getting 10 because he did it once in training

What is going on with first guys skull. Looks like his brains are busting through.
Mateusz Kieliszkowski ie my compatriot, is to be at the competition so I hope he wins ! :)
I hope they either bring this back or a different natural stone event. I also hope that they do Apollon's Wheels for the overhead since Rogue cancelled their Axle Press Event. Bale Tote would also be awesome to bring back.
Please bring this event back in 2024. Between Martins, Thor, and Kieliszkowski it would be an awesome battle

Toffy looked SO happy.
Watching this makes us appreciate Martins, Oleksi and Bobby even more. They made this look easier in 2022.
Well we know what one of the 2024 events it
He might never recover to fullest but he damn sure left unbeatable records behind him 💪
The stone needs a crash mat to land on for sure 😂
Keep it on stage
And this is exactly why I was so sad when Mateusz ripped his bicep. He had so much potential to dominate the game.
I thought Dimatar Savatinov was gonna have a stroke/Heart attack. Just short arms, small hands, too thick and old. He could get enough oxygen.
Bring this event back
Mateusz 4 reps is ungodly strong
What kilogram, guys?
this is the best strenght event that i have ever seen, bring it back!
Mateusz killed it
𝑮𝑹𝑬𝑨𝑻.👏👏👏
Lord have mercy... if someone was lame and just wanted to rep it out for points you could technically once found the right grip break it off the floor to get a point, set it back down, lift it up for another point, set it back down.... you rep it out up and down 5 times might be quicker than some people lapping n shouldering for 5 points...
I am glad everyone legitimately attempted the full motion but according to the points system of 1 point for breaking it off the floor.... would've been hilarious to see!
Polish Power 🇵🇱
Why did Mat only get 15 points?
Cheeseballs
Who lifted 4 times?
Mateusz Kieliszkowski
And next year 5
Lets see if the Arnolds caters to Mitch Hooper or has events like this which will crush him. ya won't see events like this at Brian Shaw's strongest man on earth lmao light weight / machine oriented event. I mean they had a leg press lmao
Why would you think this event would favour anyone but mateusz? Every one will bleed if this event is back
