She isn't completely cold towards them, but she needs to go into therapy, she's very difficult and defensive. This is a woman with a lot of trauma and has always been in survival mode, that's why she is too controlling.

She was married for 20 years, got divorced…and began dating a man who was dating her friend…the way she acted, it is reasonable to believe back before the 20 year marriage, she surrounds herself w/ ppl who will allow her to control them. I think she wants to change and that might be why she got a divorce but she is more of a problem than she realized. I like both families and hope they can work it out.

I know a lot of people like Lazaundra. They’re broken, super sensitive, and have been victimized, but instead of growing from it, they become a mean, angry, vicious person who only sees the worst and only hears the worst in every situation, and lashed out at others in a “let me hurt you before you hurt me” behavior mode. I don’t think she’s a bad person, but she needs to heal. And clearly she wasn’t present with her own daughters, which shows what’s going on in her life. He’s also not as good a guy because he’s too busy out being Mr. Playa-Playa and not maintaining a relationship with his son or his family. They don’t need to be married; they need to just stay club friends, because that’s what they really are. I liked his niece; she stood on her own and wasn’t gonna let anybody play him. However, his sister needs to get a man of her own, because she seems to have placed him in the man-of-her-life position, and some of her commentary was toxic. My good sis with the dreadlocks was sitting there the whole time like “What did I get myself into 😂”. I hope his son also gets the therapy and healing he needs for what are clearly abandonment issues because he otherwise seems like a good guy.

Great summation!!! What most people don't realize is that women are hurt all the time, and if a man is only hurt once, he's scared for life. This relationship started out with decent. Let's be for real. A lot of people, especially women, suffer from low self-worth. A lot of men want a 'mother figure' that they can have a physical relationship. If you're a woman who is used to being 'the man' in the relationship, you ACT like her! That's why her children voiced their concerns, and she became offended. This is a long-term problem. Unless she wants to fix this in her life, this is what she will continue to be for the rest of her life! Her daughters will be resentful of her and exclude her from their lives! This was a great episode. I'm really starting to like this show. Lazaundra is childish and ignorant. Everytime Julian (jr.) opened his mouth she became combative but the boy was raised very well and tried to show her respect (calling her Mam). It seemed as though they reversed roles and the children were more mature than the couple. Lazaundra showed her true colours and Julian started to see what he would be in for. He doesn't want her. The baby (Nia) shouldn't have to defend her mum but when the mum behaves like a fool. Children feel the need to protect them. Whoever raised Julian (jr.) did a fantastic job. You can see good home training from miles away, my heart goes out to him. I couldnt understand why he Dad never checked Lazaundra. That's his son and will always be his son.

I think Julian is genuinely a good person…right now Lazaundra is very toxic and needs to work on her issues before trying to be a wife or in a relationship. Otherwise she would drag him down. This is sad for the first time in her kids life they felt "safe" to tell her how they really feel about her . Your daughters told you to stop and that tou are the problem, rhey dont even want your advice. She went left instead of taking it in and reflecting on herself she deflecting the problem is her. But we all knew this when she slept with jer ex friend man 😮. And his son his grown show that man some respect and be quiet when he talking , he was quite for you . I do believe that family members coming back together is important, but how they “fight” is equally important. The purpose is to vent and voice frustrations but there is a healthy way. Families don’t need to tear each other apart to vent. Sometimes what is shredded over and over can’t be put back together with “I’m sorry, but…”

I think Julian is genuinely a good person…right now Lazaundra is very toxic and needs to work on her issues before trying to be a wife or in a relationship. Otherwise she would drag him down. I don’t think this relationship started on the right tip….hence he was her friend’s man. I think Julian is realizing this engagement was a mistake and he needs to run FAST.
