ツインリンクもてぎで行われた走行確認テストより 1997年のRVF(RC45)です。鈴鹿8耐のRC45は幾度か撮影しましたが、カストロールカラーのワールドスーパーバイク仕様のRVFは初の撮影でした。RVFといえば耐久のイメージですがSBKのスプリントレースでも大活躍しました。このマシンはジョン・コシンスキーがチャンピオンを獲得したマシンです。概ね全開で走行しているようですので８耐仕様のRVFと音の違いなどを確認してみてはいかがでしょうか？。

This gives nice memories from the WSBK 1997 season. A lovely season, never very boring when John Kocinski was on this bike. It's great he hear how the top end rush pulls out a lot more horsepower than my stock RC45, which have a more smooth power delivery with its peak at 112 HP on the rear wheel. Eh, smooth? It's actually not smooth, it's surprisingly strong all over. I wish everyone had the opportunity to ride one; the sound and the feeling is different from everything else!

RC45がWSBのチャンピオンになったのら97年のドゥカティから移籍してきたジョンコシンスキーの1回なんですよね。キレキレだったなー。
実は最年少優勝記録もRC45だった
ゼッケン3はジョンが前年度のランキング。97でチャンピオン獲得してから再びポンスホンダがNSR500に。ゼッケン1のRVFも見てみたい気持ちもあったな。

At the end of the 1999 WSBK season, Honda brought out multiple new parts for the very last round at Sugo for the RC45, which from viewpoint of the championship didn't make sense, as Carl Fogarty had already won the championship and the next year they switched to the RC51...it was because they were already preparing and developing for Honda's first MotoGP machine. The RC45 in that final version had 193 HP...more than the factory 500cc GP machine that year.
