Rhagaea is your mom, so after geting your family slaughtered it would make sense for you to take care of your only family. Unless in your story Rhagaea is evil. the right thing would be conquering Calradia for your mom and at the end of the conquest is safe to assume that you will inherit the empire, so you don't even need to become an actual ruler in gameplay cause you become it off screen. That is what a loving son would do, teaming up whith his sister and mom. the other way is fighting your mom because she is actually power hungry and revoked your birthright to make Ira her heir. In this timeline Ira might be a good person, just manipulated by her mom, or she just doesn't have a choice because Rhagaea is the only sibling she has (untill you show up) so having lost most of her family brutally, she would cling to her mom even though she is evil and manipulative. So Deimos, which also means brother in greek, would have a dramatic, emotional confrontation whith Rhagaea and Ira, if you've seen avatar it would be like Zuko and Azula and Ozai, only in this case, ira should actually have a high relationship whith Deimos, so when she has to fight you, she doesn't have any choice, and you try to beat her whithout dying AND trying not to kill her, or letting her escape, OR, because she's your sister and she should have a high relationship (use cheats if necessary to achieve that) she might even let you go, i dont know if in bannerlord it's an option but in warband friendly foes could let you go. You can even ask her to join your faction, always trying to get her on your side. You can do A LOT if you choose this. So keep yourself AND ira, alive as much as you can, if she is outnumbered and you can aid her, do it, even though she's an enemy. Basically have a nice honorable rivalry whith your sister, and if you end up having to duel her to the death that would be super dramatic. And Rhagaea can be the villain of this family drama
we could say that Deimos is Arenicos's child from a first wife who died long ago and Arenicos remarried, that would give Rhagaea ample motive to want to get rid of Deimos and his other siblings to make way for her daughter to rule. in that case it would make sense to either ally himself with the northern empire on account of the fact that Arenicos himself was chosen by the senate and the civil war started because he was assassinated before naming a successor (also because southern wants to kill him and western is a populist faction following a General who swore "never again will politicians lead us to ruin") OR he could go his own way and finding a way to claim what is his by right either way it is interesting and I am looking forward to seeing how this goes
You know what would make this harder and more brutal ? Serve as a soldier in the army and you will know how millions of men felt before they died and how your men feel
I’d say work as a mercenary and weaken all of the empires armies and only join up with them when they are fighting each other that way you will be able to wreck havoc without any restrictions to a single empire
I love watching/playing games in their “ironman” setting because it completely changes up how you play and rebound from situations. It makes everything feel much less grindy
I personally think you should go around to all empire factions to get all the nobles to like you making it easier to recruit them then starting your own faction to replace the feuding shattered empires
Watching your Bannerlord series is literally more fun and engaging than playing the game myself and that says a lot about the quality of your content. Cheers
Hey I'm the Death for All mod creator, and just want to let you know that my mod is not compatible with Heal on Kill since they both modify the same method. Could cause a crash.
Just found the channel - this is EXACTLY what I was looking for. PLEASE continue this series. As for what path you take, I think starting your own kingdom would be the most interesting (but perhaps it's too difficult).
"Is not a hard-" Man I want to be this guy. No matter what I get ganged up on by looters or sea raiders or whatever and get factory reset every couple days
I reckon something fun to do, would be to join as a merc or something in the beginning, meet people, befriend good ones (like honorable and smart and kind), and then when you decide to break off, perhaps have most of those people join you and your new empire. My idea is that you will know them through campaigns and will forge close bonds with them, so when you will strike out on your own they will be more likely to join you on your quest to unify the empire.
I think it’s worth it to join empires as a mercenary and maybe potentially a vassal at some point, to build up a relationships with the lords and notables of the land. Then, wait for an opportunity to strike and carve out an independent empire for yourself, and if you have a good rapport with some of the lords, encourage them to defect. Think it would be fun to watch a semi-usurpation series where you begin serving the empires, then eventually conquer and unify the empire under your control as an independent warlord. Story could be that after serving all three empires, Deimos comes to the realization that none of the emperors have the ability to unify the empire and so he decides to take on the task himself along with his loyal followers and their men. Been reading a lot of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which is a Classical Chinese novel based on the three kingdoms period so I was kinda inspired by that.
This is really cool. I would be terrified to run into bandits. It would make it soooo fun. You would have to choose battles so wisely. I really want to try this. It would be fun and would probably make for short play throughs lol. Everything you do would be fearing death. I never have that in bannerlord or warband because you can’t die. I’m excited for this one.
If this series ends at some point i have a suggestion for another hardcore one: Hardcore Bandit King playthrough (Start at war with every faction, Goal: Make at least 1mil denarii and hold a Fief) Also as for mod suggestions for this playthrough, if you have not added it there is a mod called Molochs duels that lets you duel army commanders to settle fights (wich was done historically), but it depends on the characters honor stat if they follow through with the arrangement if defeated so its not 100% easy mode. I'v used it on my playthroughs and it comes in handy when you are outnumbered! Anyways great series, i am rooting for you to see it through till the end
I think working with Rhagaea, your mother, would be the best thing to do! Walking the lonely road is often taken here, but what about assisting Rhagaea and your family for a change. You would have the backing of a powerful empire and take many great risks of death, and even their own deaths too, potentially getting a revenge story if Rhagaea was killed, and or siblings.
ROAM CALRADIA!!! Let the road to the throne be littered with the remains of all who stood against, or displeased Demus. You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow this opportunity comes once in a lifetime, you gotta lose yourself in the battle, the moment you want it, you better never let em go!
I'd say go for Griffith route, where you do things to make yourself and your company greater disregarding loyalty to one day make your own kingdom. Just don't find Behelit on the way.
The obvious choice is to begin fostering relations with nobles and incite them to break off on their own to weaken the empires. Also, definitely gotta become less of a fighter and more of a commander sooner than later, that way you can keep equipping your people with the OP stuff you come across without it breaking your game. They deserve the best suit possible to wear to their deaths after all.
It’s easier to just become friends with all the nobles of a faction, become a vassal, and have the king/head lord have an accident during a jailbreak and during the vote use your influence :D politik in a nutshell
I wish you had mod Diplomacy because there is a mechanic called fractions or something like that, so I think it will be canonical way to become an Emperor of any Kingdom, but I am unsure how it works but probably you should try it.

Join one of the Empire factions and make a name for yourself, then have their claimant suffer an "accident" and get the archons to vote you on the throne.
I would say to go a route of friendly relations to the common people of the Empire, stoking your popularity with the people and showing everyone how Deimos treats people who aid him in times of need, this will get everyone in all the lands speaking about you because you will stand out starkly from the often tyrannical, lazy, or indolent rulers across Calradia. Also, nobles who you might be more keen on befriending will take notice and show you favor, both within the Empire and outside it. You fight for the people of the land, as you always have, and just maybe you rub elbows with some long lost family members in the process, who will no doubt be in a position where able heroes are much needed. Maybe you work as a vassal for a time, and once you've established a power base that has the support of the people you can start forcing changes through the Senate, until either you have all but usurped the Southern Empire, or maybe carve out a piece of it for yourself. It would certainly be fraught with many perils and possibilities, the Aserai Serpent and the Khanate's hordes could derail your plans before they ever begin. Not to mention your other competitor for the love of the people, Garios may choose to strike south instead of north.
Definitely become a mercenary until about clan tier 3-4 imho. After rank 4 I would focus more on leaving the merc contract and become either a vassal or break off and start raising up your economy by having caravans and workshops everywhere. Wait until you have a few decent clan members/companions to lead some decent armies of their own and get ab 800 troops total and then create your kingdom

Be a vassal but to an outside kingdom and use them to put you on the thrown of the empire. They will think they can control you but you will inevitably show them otherwise.
Damios may have to deal with Clan Naretzes in the north- one way or another. Their leader Penton is the direct son of the Emperor before Arenicos, and will have the same claim to the Empire; but with northern Senate alliances. Perhaps by joining the south where the aristocrats barely tolerate the puppet-daughter of Raghaea (who, let's face it, will just get married off to the Vlandians somehow in-game), Damios will have support as a male claimant with as much weight as the adventuress Ira?
