+Rory King our kit acts like an additional cd changer. So if you are able to listen to your cd and have the navigation playing at the same time, then yes you can do it.
I have the built-in aux port on my audi a3 but it isnt working. RNS-E says aux source is active but its just a hissing noise. When nothing in aux port, still says aux source active and still has the same hissing noise. Any idea what it might be?
Julian Deleij Nope no software stuff. There's a guide for it online if you look for how to retrofit an RNS-E, you'll see which adapter I'm talking about. For me I had to go to an Audi showroom to order it.

Anyone knows if the surrounding trim is replaceable ? I seen same navigation on both As and A4 but the outside shape is different, so will an A4 navi plus work on an A3 dash ?

Follow the link in the description. I just bought a kit a week ago. The wired connection one (above, is about $105) is cheaper than the bluetooth one ($145-155, I don't remember), and you'll probably get a better sound quality.

It turned out to be retro-fitted, had to buy the right adapter for it since it used the old headunit one

The keys provided in the kit are not the same as the ones in the video. They do not click. And they cut your fingers up

Yeah they do. I have a 2005.5 B7 A4 that has the navigation. My friend has a 2004 B6 with identical RNS-E nav.

It might be an A3 or audi A4 2002-2005 (cabrio)
or 2007-2008 a4, s4 or RS4. I have a '08 RS4 and this is my stereo. I just installed the Bluetooth kit and it works great!
