I'm guessing she's had some formal training in performance. I know a gal who's got several years of schooling and puts on a show when she sings. But she's in musical theater. I know a gal who's got an amazing natural talent and wins most karaoke contests she performs in and she doesn't do silly things with her hands and face. I guess when you pay money to see a show, you don't want to see the performer just stand there the whole time. :-/
