Zane Lowe, killed this interview, soo much knowledge, he knows how to lead the conversation, cuz Burna doesnt talk much...he did well to get us the conversation we needed
For me burna boy is the best thing to ever happen to African music..he brought to true light to the scene.
He should have started his own movement in Nigeria instead of selling out to the USA
@@HenagaH music is universal. Burna already had a big audience in Africa before blowing last year in the states.
@@nkenowear9776 exactly. Having a big fan base in Africa is more than enough. He shouldn’t get caught up in tryna fit it with American music. Some of our music industry is very …very… VERY corrupt
@@HenagaH it's just a marketing move many before him tried to jump into the states market with no success. He's already there so why not capitalyze it? Real fans know his journey, the blood and tears to get this worldwide recognition and the dollars that will get along.
@HenagaH who cares, that's your problem not his
The way he expresses himself you'll know he's a deep thinker
Very intelligent
Infused all of it into his lyrics
I know right
Truuee, love him
big head = big brain
Awesome voice, speaking or singing. What a gift .All Glory be to God
God, the greatest artist known to man and beyond. Over 9billion humans, yet no one is 100% the same as we are all unique in our ways. God is truly Great.

I’ve never been disappointed as a fan. Burna always making me proud
I hope people didn't just listen to this man speak just for listening sake, resonate with everything he said and incorporate it in your life and you're going to be wayy happier, more open, more spiritually inclined and you're just more aware of your surrounding and you just become YOU
There is nothing as beautiful as seeing people create from a place of authenticity. And that is what Burna has always represented from the beginning. This may be his best body of work yet.
The interviewer really did a great job, kudos to him🙌🏾🙌🏾..He really made Burna boy comfortable to the point he was able to speak more and open up than he usually does and you can tell his a Burna boy fan😅….I pray and hope Burna gets the credit he deserves from his people you can see from his eyes and body movements how to deep it is for him
He’s one of the greatest. He knows how to get deep answers from his interviewees
Burna Boy has never been out of the spotlight since he first emerged.
His star has only risen since he first came into the public eye.
He has been a shining star in the music industry ever since he first appeared.
He has always been in the limelight, from his humble beginnings to his current status as a global superstar.
He's the GOAT of his time, I am so proud on of him. Love from Minnesota❤
"Music is a product of experience" Burna is one of the few living by that statement in Nigeria's music scene!
What kind of experience does he have that other guys that live in Benin ,Enugu, Lagos ,kaduna don’t have? You guys are pushing him to his downfall.
Sorry if im asking for u to dig but at what general timestamp did he say that? Would love to clip that part
He gets it!!!
@@Scorpion1968ifeit’s not false that some musicians make up the experience they sing to.
"God does not make mistakes" wow what a spiritual being😍
He's here to stay. AFRICA IS FINALLY HOME .. GET US AND UNITE TOGETHER 🙌 KING BURNA BOY

Give this man his flowers while he still here he a legend❤
The great African giant, Burna boy, the🙏🙏❤️💚❤️🇩🇴🇩🇴 world loves you King beautiful.
What he said about Fela was so real and profound.
African music is safe in burna's hands.
Full of wisdom
He is always such a deep thinker and were happy apple asked questions whichcan give us an insight into how some songs were made and what he expects from his album or music.
He said ntg wrong when it came to afrobeats been just vibes before him as music executives said the same thing when they were tryna commercialize afrobeats n african music. they couldnt as the music hardly held any substance.
Hes going further and im sure there will be more gems from him in the near future❤
I remember Burna being booed at SOBs many years ago in NY, dude now sells out the MSG🔥🔥🔥
Burna is the greatest to ever come out from Nigeria ❤
"God don't make mistakes"

Burna boy is real as real can get.
Beautiful Interview! So many Gems 💎
Loved every bit of this ❤
I love this interview. You can tell right away that Burna Boy has Respect for the person interviewing him. When Burna talked about Fela, old school HipHop how his eyes were shining.💯🦁🌍👑🎶🎙Zane is one of the best in the Business, always do his Homework, he gives the Artist Space to talk and think, and he asks intelligently and smart.
Moved from African artist to international artist. No play zone!
Iam grateful great interview. Thank you
Always excellent interviews - had to show big love in the Attack The Culture 'Videos' section - keep it going!
This interview was refreshing. big ups to Zane for gifting Burna the Curtis Mayfield live album; 'The Makings Of You' is a song of the ages.
I never doubted you..right from your first collaboration with sauti sol,I predicted you'll win a Grammy.
25:08 Big 7 is a powerful and incredible song. I remember the first time I listened to it and I had it on repeat for like 10 different plays lol. It definitely boosted my mood on a personal level. I appreciate Burna Boy for creating this song because I could tell how much this song meant to him.
Love you man can't wait for tomorrow, brilliant interviewer. Looking forward to "If I'm lying"❤
I am enjoying every bit of this interview😊
“I change what I have the power to change and leave the rest”

Keep Going king. We love your view of everything. It’s Burna Boy for life
What a Powerful being i salute u sir 🎉
Burna Boy did manifest his destiny. Burna wanted his name in BOLDER letters at Coachella a year or 2 before the Pandemic. Look it up. Because he believed they were underrating him simply because he was an artiste outta African. Well he "...Told Them
What a wholesome human being!🙌🏾
The voice along❤❤❤❤
So much inspiration ❤

Amazing interview! Great chemistry!
Burna week is off to a great start💪🏾🇯🇲🌍💪🏾
I loved this interview!
Absolutely love this album and he definitely gave us his soul and essence in this album. Real music, and this is the beginning of a new level for him. Stay True + Shine bright Burna!
I can’t wait till Friday!!
This man. I love 😍 him sooooooo much!!!! Very handsome and I love his energy and that smile!!!
I have to firstly acknowledge Burna for not wearing dark Shades. For me it made a huge diffrennce in this interview you got to see his emotions his resonses and how he comminunicates. Long may this continue.
2. I love how ZL asks Burna those pertinent ?'s he actually done his homework and is a fan which showed in his interactions and how he communicated with BURNA it was an easy flowing unpretentious interview that very few interviewers possess such skills.
3. I have to agree with Burna when he talked very briefly about the Lyrical content of Afrobeats. Its true thhe Majority lack any lyrucal content just talking about same ol, how to chase woman, how to get that woman and just fluffy stuff. Ive felt this way for sometime and it irkes me. So hes speaking the truth I see nothing wrong with that. I think we confuse Bangers with great lyrical content but when you unpick the actual lyrics its just nothing substantial. Where i disagree with Burna slightly on this. I do feel a lot of these artists have stories to tell and do have life experiences . Lets take Nigeria for example. Your seriously telling me there are no Real stories to tell? How that country is being Run. Majority of the people are sruggling/hussling. Or just there own experiences . So rather than getting upset with him why not Demand more substance from our Afrobeats Artists. Cos i tell if they continue the way the are going they will just peak and decline when everything sounds monotonous and the beats sound the same.
4. I like How Burna is able to make the connection with Fela. I often wander the type of collab they would have produced had Fela been alive can you even compute that. Fela was on a diffrent level his legacy and Lyrics are still relevant today and beyond so props to Burna for that.
I will take my time and listen to this album and what he will do next. I will like to see Burna collab with more Female artists but im sure that will come with time. I learnt more about Burna in this interview than any other interview ive seen him in.
I had to 😅when he said he had no clue who Curtis Mayfield was But now he will be exposed to other authentic types of music that have stood the test of time. And just maybe we may see some of this in his Afrofusion music who knows anything is poss with Burna. His music has no bounds i get that now didnt befiore now i do.
can't wait to hear the album 💥💥💥
This guy can really interview.
Thanks much for this video.
His voice is incredibile 🙏🏽
Great interview!
This is so inspiring❤❤🎉🎉
It's safe to say this man is a Legend of the game
Burna is a great man! Protect him at all cost❤
Amen
So true we’re all connected 😊😊
protect this man at all cost. ODG❤️🙌🏾
burna is great, he needs to keep speaking for the culture, love from pakistan.
He spoke real truth at 17:45 onward on the topic of his relationship with his culture's music and his music in relation to his individual identity. Thank you for speaking this, ODG. Real. SO real.
We are grateful 😇 Burna 🦍💗
I’m so so glad he said that Afrobeats is about nothing and has no substance because they all talk about women and shy away from real problems now, just to blow. Wiz kid best song is Ojuelegba because you could feel his heart through the lyrics. These young African artists better start looking up to Asake and Burna Boy because they are the best. Go and argue with your village people if you think otherwise.
Lol😅 you finish talk bro
I agree! I think Rema is super talented as well and has the potential to talk about things that are more deep as well as Buju BNXN…. Davido and Adekunle Gold have some deep songs. We can’t forget Simi’s “Woman” and Teni’s “Hustle”
He is so intelligent...his mind and his views on art and music just speaks wisdom...the way he believed in himself aaahhh Jesus said we finna move Mount with this faith,,and we sure will
