  • Today's Pick of the Day is an excellent white guard Fender Esquire from 1957, that happened to come in as a set with a 1954 Deluxe, which are being sold as a set! As we'd shown off the pair together a little while back when they first came in, we switched it up to have the guitar plugged into a cool brown-face deluxe (which has since sold) for Aaron to play through.
For more information about the guitar and amp set, please check out:

I really enjoyed this guy's playing. It seemed less aimless than most gear demos.

As a guitar player I know most other guitarists are particular about the profiles of a guitar but I can pick up any guitar and play it I don’t need specific specs or profiles to be comfortable playing.
I do prefer a wider fretboard but it does not matter to me.
Honestly, and I know I will suffer backlash for this but all Telecasters are designed the same the only difference is the hardware and components.
A heritage Fender or any guitar is great but expensive due to having to refurbish them and they have sound compromise because of the wars of the electronics.
I never was Interested in a Telecaster but when I played the American Pro that was it, I tried other Fenders and Gretsch guitars but they where meagre in comparison.
When I first played the American Pro it sounded the best out of any guitar I’ve playing including vintage guitars.
It is made for the modern player and is fully crafted with the original Fender elements in mind.
I love vintage guitars but for the price and extra costs to buy one I’d rather buy a brand new Fender for much much less the price and get a fully untouched or warn guitar which meets the needs of today’s players.
If I had the money I’d buy vintage guitars but I wanted something which I would not have to worry about any extra needs or expenses and which would last a lifetime without needing any work.
Plus the American Pro was a limited line and where only produced for maybe five years so they are someone less common and you can’t just go into a store and buy a new one now, plus they are the last guitars so far which are still mainly made with Ash and Alder sadly rather then Pine.
I have never had such a great guitar in my life and i did not intend on buying one I wanted a Strat or White/Black Falcon but the ones I played did not meet my demands and the sound and tuning where off to me and was hard tune.
The American Pro Tele was totally in tune and other then the hum had a incomparable sound.
Love the American Pro original it’s a marvellous.
