- The abandoned pit is without a doubt one of the best venues I've ever fished. A crystal clear gravel pit full of weed, snags, and most importantly, incredible carp. During our short stay me and Henry caught multiple big carp, including the lakes biggest resident at 52lb.

I’m not sure he’s a bit weird🤣 Nar it’s because the fish get stuck in weed so picking the rod up wouldn’t do much. It’s a boat job every-time.

They are BP 4,000’s, however they are discontinued. Nash do make a GT 4,000 which is an even better version but similar in size.
I Dont get the boating out to the carp these days. Getting bit boring.
You’d never land them in a lake like that if not, safer for the fish
