    what a legend jim is! love him or hate him he knows how to catch the big girls! everyone could only dream about having the nuts jim have to do what he does and say an whats wrong with having an opinion these days?! not everyone is going to be the sheepish angler like everyone in the community. he has his own ways of words and own ways of doing things an i think its amazing and authentic of him!

    The country park in south norwood has a common in there over 56lb it come out a few years back only got caught once to my knowledge there is a mirror thats bigger and never been out

      @JayBurton-v6k 😂😂😂 go for it mate there Is a reason why it's only got caught once and me and the others that know about them don't fish for them I don't mind a bit of poaching but them hood rats around there finally worked out how much fishing gear is worth if you want a zombie knife in your face at 3am go for it don't say it won't happen to you I know 3 people it has happened one of them had a shot gun pulled on them the only way to do it is buy shit gear you don't mind losing

    If he was lucky enough to own some land, maybe close to his house and had a small lake on this land, would he also ‘just not care’ if he was constantly finding trespassers on his land ….fishing his lake? Maybe he’d shake their hand…I don’t know 🤷‍♂️

    amazing inspirational stories, normal paylake conforming fisherman will never understand the type of feeling you get from this type of life, . "fishing is a discipline in the equality of men-for all men are equal before fish"

    Off the beaten track , could be in on an estate lake or a garden pond ,nature reserve but they need catching you just take a quick photo leaving without anyone knowing you’ve ever been ?

    this is nothing new as a carp fishermn for 35years from lea valley theres always been stealth missions, even back in the day everyone knew the only waay to catch the black mirror was to poach it.

    Pay to fish like everyone else.
    I have an "off the grid" lake. But it isn't. Its just in my village and nobody owns it. 4 of us fish it. Anyways, point being is we don't then break in to other people's lakes just because we want to not pay.

      None of these anglers poached instead of paying to fish lol.. there were no day tickets on the nature reserve of the fens or the mere mate .. you obviously didn't watch it all the way through.. too busy getting your outstanding citizen of the month comment prepared.     Questing a much better term than "poaching " ...its just fishing at the end of the day ...when i was a teenager "questing" was 90% of my angling because i couldnt afford tickets ...im not a criminal but the term poaching makes it sound like it ...✌️✌️

      @@willygg2625 Untapped, hidden, epic. Carp in every freshwater body of water. Big ones are there, but take some finding. Lots of secrecy due to carp slayers. Seen as a pest here, which to be fair are in some systems.

    Done my fair share of guesting with various levels of paranoia. Not for everyone for sure. But I am getting too old to get busted and having to stand there like a naughty schoolboy, all embarrassed while some some angry estate owner with his shotgun yells my head off.

      @jayjaybwoyxx I know, ive watched yellowstone haha , I believe in the right to roam as ling as its responsible , america has some great laws freedom wise , but seems heavily restricted to access on certain lands own by big landowners , everyman should be able to be able to defend his castle but I don't know about his garden

      @@themargincreeper_ mate, there’s hundreds of places you can fish for free with a rod licence legitimately that are quiet, and there’s probably loads of places that are private, but if you ask the land owner nicely you may get permission to fish legitimately. What are you gaining by doing this? Bet you don’t even have a rod licence do you

    The waters that he refers to shouldn't be on there are probably a nature reserve no fishing or private fisherie, whats the worst thing that can happen if your caught get told to pack up and go, there was a lake in Northamptonshire it has a name but i will call it a maze back in the mid 90s before the big named carp angler got their claws into it it was off the rader it was like a jungle walking around it so incredibly secluded with carp to over 40lb but then one day it happened it got found out about because the small angling club didnt renew the lease then this special hidden pit got taken over and hacked to death by chain saws bush cutters you name it i dont blame anyone who decides to poach a water not with how its become today with joining fees
