- We visited the National Christmas museum in Lancaster county Pennsylvania. I was so excited to see the 1950s Woolworth display and all of the other rooms and Collections were amazing. This museum exceeded my expectations.

Thank you so much for sharing this video. Great childhood memories going to Woolworth. I hope to go see that Museum someday ❤ It was amazing ❤️
You are so welcome! I hope you get there
I am going to watch and rewatch this and I am sure I will catch new details each time. Thank you for taking us along! So much fun 🎄🎄
Yay!! I’m glad you liked it
I loved your reactions to each display which mirrored my own. Thank goodness people preserved these items so they are more than a memory and have displayed them so beautifully. Thank you so much for sharing your life and taking us along. Happy new year
It was so clean. So well done. It was perfection!
Yes, amazing. Imagine what it will be when it is completed in the permanent location. The collection was started by, and continues to be owned by, one man who loves Christmas. When the museum was in its prior location, we would see him taking his walks along Route 30. He played as Santa for many years and had the real beard. My kids would lose their minds when they saw him out and about. The collection continues to grow. If you have anything you would like to donate, I am certain the museum would be very happy to add to the collection.
That's so wonderful that you knew him and his collection.
Thank you for this wonderful video, Corinna. I will watch this every year. I'm still awestruck at everything, however the Woolworths' was the absolute best!!!!❤❤❤
It was perfection in the Woolworths!
Oh my Lord, what a collection! The Woolworth Store was everything. The dioramas! The antique ornaments! And what in the sam hill were those magical things on the tree at 24:30? Thank you for taking us here. ❤
It was perfect. I’ll look and figure it out now.
I have no clue.
It looks like they made the circles out of PVC and each one of those decorations was hooked up to some pvc tube. It was pretty cool.
This brought back a lot of memories from the 1950's for me. My grandmother and mother wore those corsages from Woolworth to church at Christmas, and we also used them for package decorations. We had a gumdrop tree, too, but did not put gumdrops on it. It was used for hors d'oeuvres at our holiday parties, and later I used it to display mini ornaments. We had several of the wax choir members on our mantel every year, and we had packaged tree lights just like the ones in the museum. It was my job every year to assemble the lights with their reflectors, and I still have the family set. Great video!
It sounds like you had wonderful Christmas traditions!
Woolworth was magical. Mom told me in for a special visit we seat at the container and had lunch. No words where spoken but I understood ❤Mom had on her Sunday best and I had on school dress and Sunday shoes. I'll never forget that day or lesson Mom I love you❤
I always wanted to eat at Woolworth but I never told my mom. In California I believe they have an antique store in a Woolworths. You can eat there too.
You should have told me@@TarnishedTreasures1
Fascinating!!!! That is definitely a place that one could visit on multiple occasions and not see everything. The excitement in your voice !!!!!!
It really is a wonderful place. And there were some couples there who say they come every year.
Wow, this Christmas museum is absolutely magical! I’m blown away by all the antique Christmas items. It’s amazing how much thought, effort, and creativity went into it curating this treasure. It truly brought the Christmas spirit to life. Thank you for sharing! This is definitely going on my road-trip must visit list! 🎄❤️🎄
Definitely artists that work there
This place takes my breath away. It’s like stepping back into time. I do remember seeing the dozens of baby Jesus & Josephs & Marys all lined up in the bins at Woolworths -long long ago.
I remember open bins like that at the store.
Amazing trip down memory lane! So much from my childhood.
Thank you for this video Corrina! Loved every second of it!

Is beautiful ! We're is this museum?
It’s in PA
Only 36 seconds into this and I am mesmerized. Just subscribed. 😊 I am 63 years old and my early childhood was living above my grandparents' country general store. My first memories of Santa included a life-size cardboard figure of the Pepsi Santa advertisement in his red longjohns. I love all the versions of the Twas books. Thanks for sharing this video.
That’s is so amazing that they had a store. Life size Santa- YES!
Wow,this was such a treat .Thankyou for sharing, hope you all had a lovely christmas
Thank you and I hope you had a great Christmas too.
The museum is in Elizabethtown, PA, very nearby to Hershey. Another venue worth visiting is Stone Gables Estate, which is about a mile away.
I heard they are moving the museum there next year.
When my Grandmother volunteered at a small Thrift store I would go to work with her. Those were very special times. At lunch we’d go to Woolworth’s and have chocolate malts and burgers. This video was absolutely lovely. Thank you.
Sounds like the perfect day to me!
Wow! This was beyond amazing! it must have been so incredible to see in person. never knew this museum even existed. just fabulous. what a treasure to see this. and it's wonderful to know that all these wonderful pieces of the past are so loved and on display.

I’m stunned! What an amazing place! I loved your excitement as you saw one wonderful thing after another. For me, Woolworth’s is my special memory. My daughter and I put it on our bucket list for next year. I hope it’s open year round! Thanks so much for sharing this marvelous place with us.
Hi Judy. So far I believe that it opens right around Thanksgiving and closes after the new year. So keep that in mind. I also heard that they are moving this to a different location. But very close, and it will be even larger and have more of the Collections that are in storage right now. So definitely research it first.
@@TarnishedTreasures1 thank you for the information. I’ll definitely do my research since it’s a long drive from Massachusetts. I was hoping it was open year round since the weather is so iffy later in the year. Thanks again! PS - imagine more of all this Christmas goodness! ❤
Thank you for sharing this with us. God bless you n family 😊
You are so welcome! 😊 I hope you enjoy
WOW THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS VIDEO AND SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCE. OH MAN unfortunately my traveling days are over due to a disability, but I still have all of the memories. Unfortunately, I lost my entire collection of antique and vintage Christmas when I became homeless thanks to people like you, I will have the memories 🎅🎄🤶
I'm so sorry to hear about your collection. That's heartbreaking. I’m happy that you are able to watch and remember.
This is wonderful. We visited on 12/27. The museum was so fascinating. Thank you for sharing. ❤
We just missed each other! What was your favorite spot? Was it your first time?
@ goodnes, there was so much that I enjoyed but by far my most favorite was the story with 14 chapters for each window scene. I can’t recall what the area was called but how sweet was that. Oh and the live cast nativity scene was another depiction of Jesus’ birth that was interesting. Overall, all the references to Germany was enlightening. We understood this is a temporary location and will be going back for a visit once they move.
Thanks for sharing your Dreams. ❤❤❤
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
That was fun
❤❤
Amazing! What a delightful place!! I would love to visit here! Thank you for taking us along!

I’d love it all too! ♥️♥️
The very first year round Christmas store was actually in Smethport, PA (McKean County).
Neat! What year?
Recently saw that this was open (again/reopened). It definitely is on my list of places to stop by. Thanks for posting the video.
It’s a must see!
Thankyou so much for sharing this and taking us along. It was wonderful you should make it an annual visit if it's not too far. It must be difficult to film and look at the same time.
I knew I’d miss things so now I have the video to watch over and over. Plus we were there for 2 hours.
Woww.. no words for this. Thank you for the beautiful video.
My pleasure 😊
Most amazing video, so many memories thank you so much!

I am so glad you enjoyed it!😊
Fun to see this! I just ordered some Moravian star ornaments. I went to a boarding school near Lancaster for high school and we went to a Moravian church!
Wow. Such a connection
I so enjoyed this!!! I want to go! Were you there on Christmas Day? What an absolute joy, I'm now ebay vintage Christmas shopping...
We went the day after. I was looking on eBay too, but I didn’t find anything. Maybe you were more successful!

You are so welcome!
Wow this was Awesome! Thanks for sharing !
Thanks for watching!
Wonderful place thanks for sharing it with us . Merry Christmas and Happy New Year .
You are so welcome! 😊 happy holidays
I just saw the Woolworth nativity statues in your video. I have the same exact figurines on my island counter. They were my mothers from Woolworth in Bangor pa. The prices on the bottom ranges from 39 cents to 69 cents. They are so pretty
Oh how special! And you have the prices too. So cool!
Great video thank you for sharing
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Gorgeous! I want to go!
It’s a must-see!
Wonderful!
I agree. An amazing place
Oh! So much fun! Rewatch for sure! Was that your Mom or mother in law with you? How many year did it take to creat this museum?
MIL. I think they created it 20 years ago. I believe the people who started it are in their 70’s. So 50 years of collecting at least.
Was their gift shop any good? If you enjoyed this, you should visit Bronner's in Frankenmuth sometime.
No vintage at the gift shop but we did buy a magnet
I don't understand why some intelligent manufacturers don't reproduce these items with authentic looking packaging.
They would do well!
You said it! I would buy every single thing if they remade it.
❤🎄❤
Hi!
Hell9 from Michigan
Hi Holly ❤
I believe that this is located in Dauphin County, not Lancaster Co.
Where is this display?
Pennsylvania
Elizabethtown, PA. Very nearby to Hershey. There is also another venue worth visiting, Stone Gables Estate.
@@MyDearWormwood Thank you
