Hi a fan here of your channel there is a repeating scene when you edit the video its from 8:39-8:46 there is another one earlier in the video but I forgot where it is FYI. Love your channel!
when you make your channel a content machine and need to put more videos this could happen, still i had never seen mistakes in edition like this.
Apologies on editing mishaps!
I'll admit it, I rushed the editing on this video so I could spend the day painting Tyranids 😅😅😅😅😅
@@MechaGaikotsuit’s cool, it happens, no biggie
@@MechaGaikotsu Ohhhhhh I'd love to see warhammer videos :) its off brand but would be nice to watch :D
@@MechaGaikotsu Btw, butt-flap does have the runner information underneath; you missed it, yet was hard to see due to where it's placed I guess
The re/100 line has so many cool mobile suits, I could only imagine how insane an MG nightingale ver ka would be though
The insane part would be the price
Just One name
Dijeh
We're kind of getting one, its called Firehawk i believe.
You'd get a whole ass novel in decals
Ok lets be honest here, bandai is not making a mg ver ka nightangale. It would have soo many runners tho😂
It was Reborn, then it Redied
Goated comment
ReDeads? From Ocarina of Time??
😂😂😂
who knows, maybe it will eventually Re:rise again in the future
necromancers create the undead, paladins create the unundead
I think that the Full Mechanics line is basically the successor to RE/100. Bandai does seem to prefer doing that line now over Master Grade.
But even the FM line don't get new stuff much....
The last entirely new mold FM was the Aerial..
The Full mechanics is the AU equivalent of RE/100. All the FM suits are AU suits coming from IBO, Seed, and WFM. The RE/100 line is all UC and frankly the only other suit I could see coming out for it is maybe the Kshatriya but everything else is probably either too big or complex
They do MG ver Ka, MG EX, MG SD... but yeah, the classic MG are gone
@@DX16 What really gets me is how near pointless this makes the MG Barbatos. The entire point of that kit wasn't just representing IBO's signature suit in the line / proportion, but to reuse the inner frame across any and all all future MG IBO kits (except Hashmal, of course; I've come to terms with how we'd sooner get a 1/100 Devil Gundam...) they want in the future because that's how those suits were designed to work in universe. No Ryusego. No Galbaldy. No Gusion. No Bael. And of course, no Lupus Rex. Not even a Graze. I thought there was going to be an entire IBO annual series, sort of analogous to the Celestial Being MGs of 00 that ended with the Virtue. Sad 1/100 panda.
At least the RGs are good. Then again, when was the last really good RG? God Gundam? I saw a recolored Force Impulse. If that counts, that's sad.
@@draketheduelistI heard the RG Epyon that released recently was good. But I agree, I’m disappointed that MG IBO has basically been shelved. I also don’t think the FM IBO kits get reprints very often seeing as how when I do find one for sale it’s always $100+.
Well... Technically it did change everything, just not the way they wanted
Non-grade 1/100 is created so bandai can make more 1/100 scale kits faster and cheaper. It dies a few years later.
Reborn 1/100 is created so bandai can make more 1/100 scale kits faster and cheaper. It dies a few years later.
Full Mechanics 1/100 is created so bandai can make more 1/100 scale kits faster and cheaper…
I just miss 1/100 kits in general
Im glad 3rd party companies are stepping up to the task.
I loved the concept behind RE/100: simpler kits with MG level surface detail and proportions, of MS that were too obscure or too big to get full MG releases. The Nightingale was released beside the Hi Nu ver Ka and the Zaku 2 Kai next to the ALEX 2.0. Bandai doesn't give the fans what they want anymore.
These kits were meant to be regular release kits too... Good luck finding a Bawoo or GP04 though. They reprinted the Dijeh finally but it sold out fast and it was the same with the Efreet.
It's funny that due to P Bandai releasing the ReBawoo and Lindwurm, you can more effectively get a Bawoo that way if you have access to P-Bandai.
I also was a fan but I remember people complaining that RE/100s were just oversized HGs. If only they knew where the hobby was headed.
Development costs for a new MG must be high relative to sales and I suspect RE/100s were meant to be the solution to that problem. It didn't pan out so instead we get P-Bandai, high grades and a MG yearly if we're lucky.
The fans apparently prefer higher quality 1/144 models. I personally love 1/100 and especially loved the Re/100 line, and I've enjoyed the two NG 1/100 IBO kits I've built. I'm a sucker for simple, big kits.
I remember when the GP04G retailed for $35.
@@albertko1 they will reprint them all, it's just a matter of time. The Nightingale and Dijeh just got redone this year, the Zaku II Kai, Vigna Ghina, and Efreet got a reprint in 2023. I am betting the GP04, Bawoo, and Hamma Hamma will be within the next 18 months or so.
2:28 "This section doesn't have a printing inside it"
*seconds after the light showed the marking saying it's the E sprue*
3:55 I'm guessing that Bandai has multiple bagging machines in their production line and that uses different methods to seal the bags. Most probably some are older (hard to open ones) and some are newer (the easy to open ones). They probably still use the older ones that they have because it still does it's job of sealing the bag. Most likely is that they bag the runners in batches and it just depends which machined were used to bag that batch of runners. It also makes sense in terms of production speed and efficiency. The reason I thought of this is I was building 3 HG Calibarns at the same time (I am was doing a painting commission) and I noticed that in one of the boxes, the same runners were bagged differently compared to the other 2 boxes. Not that it really matters to me. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it", as they say.
That sounds quite logical.
It’s really just to be cost-effective. They have all the machines and different bag materials, so why not use them? They paid for them already. Try an AMT model kit, you’ll get a least 3 different kinds of bags! Ones with holes, ones that are cross-press sealed, and ones that have the simpler seal!
4:50 that’s Char’s insignia, if I’m not mistaken it’s supposed to be “CD” for Char Deikun, which was the name he took during Char’s Counterattack.
IIRC it's supposed to stand for Casval Deikun
That would work too, I just checked the wiki and the Char Deikun alias was only used in the novels, so yeah it’s probably Casval Deikun my bad
I mean, this IS a mobile suit from the novels, so it probably does stand for Char Deikun, just specifically if it's on the Nightingale.
The "CD" insignia only shows up on the Nightingale if I remember, although the other insignia shows up on all the CCA-era Char suits; the Sazabi ,the Dijeh Char Custom and its successor unit, theTraversia, both from MSV-R.
@@wingedswordslayer It shows up pretty consistently on the Sazabi in the film, reference material, and the model kit sticker sheets and water-transfer decals.
This was my first experience with the pre-molded hands and I hated them ever since. It can hold the beam heat hawk fine, but putting the rifle on was such a terrible experience because the fingers kept falling off when trying to position the.
Also, it's been a few years since I've built mine and you're right about the polycaps. It can't keep its arm up when holding the shield or rifle anymore since they're too heavy
This kit is a brick, but it is a brick that looks fantastic. I built it recently and do not regret it. The only main issues is that the hands can’t hold its gun and it doesn’t have the sub arms.
Looking forward to another great review, looking for a size comparison, hopefully a 1/144 Nightingale to this monstrosity, to you have the funnel effect parts for this kit? Can’t wait, Hale Zeon!!
literally built this kit last weekend lol
was really enjoyable, nubs were a bit meh at times but other than that it looks great
i just have nowhere it fits to properly display it
Last year a Gunpla selling webstore I regularly shop at got both HG and RE/100 Nightingales to tier selection at the same time. At first I thought going with the latter because of the imressive size, but then I looked up reviews and comparisons and decided that the HG would be more enjoyable.
The HG has so much more to play with, as well as tighter and sleeker proportions, and a lot more articulation. Both models are fairly unruly, but the RE/100 needs some sticky tack to keep the wing binders in place, the peg there likes to loosen or fall off and I can’t have a giant piece of plastic jumping off and CLATTERING off my high shelf onto the ground and breaking!
I've been eyeing this kit forever and I already have a HGUC nightingale and I love it! I guess my only question about the build is how it holds up to the HG version as far as articulation and posing as I have heard that its tends to end up being a glorified brick figure with little articulation?
Also if it has compatibility with action bases and if it can pull off aerial poses?
I always love the scale comparison with the grandaddy. It never feels old
I love to see a full build with runner cut to the panel line to see you and learn.
0:37 "Mastergrade is all but dead now"
3rd Party Companies "We got you fam"
Even the high grade is huge for me. I wouldn't know where I'm gonna store the re1/100 if i got it
It needs its own room, almost
I have the RE/100, safe to say my space for models has significantly decreased since then loool. I put the Nightingale on top of my desk hutch (my desk has shelves attached to it that go most of the way up to my ceiling) and most Mg’s can’t even fit in between the shelves when I put them on an action base! I just stick to high grade now, MG is great and all but it’s so expensive for just one model. I prefer to have a lot to build, then disassemble them and kitbash them or paint them.
@@SamRK-1000 just wondering, how big is the scale of the back thruster on the re1/100. I mean like nightingale do have a big asset
can we get some size coparrisons with MG kits like the sazabi ver.ka or the nu/hi nu gundam??
Would love to see this put beside the Ver Ka Hi nu, see how they compare (since they are rival ms)
For the review, can you compare it to the hg variant? I'm kinda curious how they redesign the HGUC after 7 years from this kit. I have the HG one but this Re100 kit is nowhere to be found in my plasce.
is this still compatible with the original back pack of the strike freedom? (stupid me i was watching your sf review previously haha)
How well does it hold on an action base, and how many action bases does it need?
So nice of your wife to help you film these videos
Something I'd like to see is somebody finally acknowledge the additional hinge joint in the thumb of the posable hands. There's a ball joint at the base, then a hinge, then another ball, then the knuckle.
I got this thing about a month ago. It is BIG. But those joints are atrocious and it has a hard time staying together or in a pose. Still, it looks fantastic and imposing. Great for going with my Hi-Nu Ver. Ka. HWS. Oh, and the P-Bandai effects parts are great for this kit, especially since it comes with the Sazabi's effects too.
I really want more 1/100 and RE kits. Some of these are on my wants list but they just don’t get reprinted much do they?
They have been reprinting most of the RE100 lineup across the last year. At the current rate the entire lineup may be reprinted in totality by next year.
I'm curious about how much of the kits have an inner frame and how detailed it is compared to a MG of the same year.
CAN the Nu or the Jesta (or other regular kits that share the same hands) Hold the nightingale rifle?
How do they look with such a rifle equipped?
When will it be build? And please make a comparison between the hg and 1/100 🙏🏼
Id love more re 100s i only have the zaku my first ever kit and it still holds up great
Ha, I never thought of that either, that being all gunpla manuals reading left to right. Maybe for international market reasons?
if spooky can wear the hg backskirt as a hat
can YOU wear its backskirt as a hat
Man I've had a 1/100 Green Astray Frame that's been in my closet waiting for me to build him for almost 8 years.
Ive been waiting for this review for so long 😮
There's a few people who have reviewed it and a bit better lol
Looks like it’s going to be a big build. Though I wanted to ask if you could compare it to the mg hi nu, and to the mg sazabi😁
Hey cool i just done building this kit this morning
I’ve been wondering about the closure of their bags as well😂😂😂 it is weird!
I remember being so excited when i got my hands on the Nightingale. The RE/100 line looked good. But i was disappointed when the build was complete. It was so...simple. Sadly, when I moved, it didnt survive rhe process. Multiple parts broke, but it was a very weak kit to start off with.
It's my favorite ms and this kit is great to , but lack of moving subarms , mp cannon and articulation makes me super sad :(
When my Nightingale will finally arrive to me I will make couple of custom joints for him
If you're willing to go 3rd party, the same company that made the amazing GP02A MG is making an RG Nightingale for release June 2. It looks like it's based on the Artifact sculpt of the MS. We're not sure about the scale but I'm hoping it pairs well in size to the RG HiNu
Could we see the RE 1/100 next to the HG nightingale for size comparison. Also i feel like we need another spooky helmet scene with the nightingales gigantic ass😂
I have a reborn Jagd, i love it but i lost tube things for the funnels
i love the last bag somthing a little bit interesting being in here two times :P
I’d be curious to see how the color separation compares to the HG. Is it much better?
Maybe if you could maybe do a quick “weight test” of the full kit, I wonder if it breaks your previous heaviest kit? I’m just curious what it weighs in total… because that looks like a lot of plastic!
I’d like to see a comparison between this and the HG.
I would like to see a size comparison between this and the high grade
Compared with the hg. I was thinking of getting the high grade but now I am wondering which one I should get.
I wanna see how this compares with a 1/100 Sazabi. Not just in size but also articulation (or lack there of)
Can you compare the re/100 to the hg?
I know the pandemic and stuff really hurt gundam enough to slow new master grades to a crawl, but it really is so sad to see only two or three new master grade kits a year. We're in a golden age of extremely good high grades, but that 1/100 itch just isn't being scratched as often anymore, and when it is its with a expensive Ver. Ka (those are still absolutely beautiful tho). The frame for stuff like more Iron Blooded Orphans gundam frames or new Seed kits is already there, but Bandai refuses to reach out and sieze the opportunity :(
The only RE i have is the Bawoo and i really like that kits.
Makes me wanna get more RE kits but with the line seemingly being dead; the aftermarket has not been kind.
The Nightingale is a strangely beautiful mobile suit. Always been one of my favorites.
I feel like a nice comparison would be to a 1/100 from CCA or BC.
Another fun one would be specifically the HG or RG Hi-Nu for the sheer size disparity between the two. Like David and Goliath if Goliath got facehugged.
Such a weird coincidence I just ordered the HG and it arrives today.
Show us how fast you can eat the model kit
I need a size comparison with a perfect grade
When doing the size comparison put it beside core gundam lol
The bag thing has always confused me too
Compare it to the HG Nightingale and to the MG Hi Ni Gundam (whether the standard or the ver ka)
4 tears still waiting for u to make a review of MG the 0
Mecha do you have any intention of revewing the Synduality Noir kits?
I was thinking about it but it seems YTs algorithm has gotten excessively strict of late. It means if I do any kind of non-Gundam content, which generally gets less views, it has a knock-on effect to the next few videos even if its Gundam content.
I have the kits and really want to build them, but I'd be simultaneously shooting myself in the foot 😅
@@MechaGaikotsu YT algorithm always disappoints huh? Shame, I make sure to watch everything.
Im curious to see a comparison to the high grade to look at any more physical differences like how the giant butt flap was a completely different shape.
3:56 I too wonder why these use two types of packets.
What was the the best of the Reborn 100 sets?
How does the re/100 compare to the HG?
I like the size!
How does it compare in size to the Penelope?
Mecha you should review third party kit like snaa’s Blade king1/100, in era+ thunderbolt1/100, inera aurora1/100, sky defender1/72, Solomon gp02/physalis1/100,nilson work’s tallgeese 1/60 and glory stargazer
ive been wanting to see a comparison to the 1/144 for 2 years but i just couldnt find any
Ive...never noticed that either with the manuals.
i still sad they cancelled the line i was looking forward to get 100 Kshatriya they should not have teased us in 2015
Here's to hoping for a real grade Kshatriya
@@porakiyadraekojin3390 This would be awesome... and cost $80
Hell with RG, go for MG.
@@RezaQin Even though MG are just average, safe for a bunch of exceptional kits and the MG ver ka, EX and SD ?
yeah DO NOT use the tamiya pannel line liquid on the joint covers, i had to do reconstructive surgery on mine and its now a brick.
Can you compare it with the MG Sazabi Ver Ka and the MG Hi Nu Ver Ka for size? Thanks
I really miss my re/100 MK 3. I wanna find the hamma hamma next.
Kinda wanna see this beast next to the HG and RG Hi Nu for shits and giggles
You should design reviews and MG Gelgoog
The last actual RE 100 kit Bandai made is the MSN-03 Gyunei Guss's Jagd Doga (Special Coating) which was a Gundam Side-F exclusive.
3:56 From what I understand, the different bags they use is depending on if it was package by hand or by automation.
9:06 I'm surprised that this RE 100 uses the MG 3.0 style hands. I regularly hear that these are problematic.
9:38 You can use Google Translate's live translating feature using your phone camera.
9:53 Unless I am mistaken, Japanese newspapers are also done in the 'western' style so I guess it makes sense.
10:32 I think that it would be nice to see this compared to the HGUC version as well as any other RE 100 kit(s) you have.
@xxnike0629xx I think that it would get nice too if ...
@xxnike0629xx if you also show at least a single pic or vid ...
@xxnike0629xx of at least a single kit that you actually built ...
@xxnike0629xx from mid-2012 onwards ....
@xxnike0629xx you made claims that you still build kits ...
Can you do size comparison for the nightangle hg and re100. Tqsm mechagaikotsu
i have to see it next to the Kshatriya 1/144
Size comparison with the MG Geara Doga pls
Shokew's still the best one of the RE/100 line, and I'm looking forward to getting both Vigna Ghina models (ah, what a silly name).
Since I have both, Shockew is a great kit but the Vigna is a little loose at points.
Q: Scale preferences aside, which is the closer to the definitive version of the Nightingale?
Dude.. where is the final product?? Erghh.. need that review
That kit will flop all over when it's fully built.
Can you compare it with the mg hi nu ver ka?
Fun fact, the feet of the 1/100 Nightingale don't have heels, but the HG 1/144 do. I thought it was a cool change for added stability.
I own both I don't think they have any heels tho
@@TheSilentsama I do too. I say take a look at the bottom of the HG's feet and it looks like a cross or an X with 4 "toes." The 1/100 only has 3 "toes." Pretty cool right?
Think it died when the promise felt like "here's something you could never get as an MG!" and then for four years, we get a bunch of things that would have been possible as MGs
Like, here's the MG 2.0 of the Alex that everyone's wanted, and here's a RE/100 Zaku FZ - two different lines, too different kits - I didn't want both together
Can you compare the articulation and gimmicks of this beast to HGUC Nightingale?
Is it just me, or are the RE/100 and HG boxes similarly-sized?
Yup it's same size. When i buy hg nightingale from my local store, they place both of it in one section.
RE Nightingale is my magna opus of my shelf.
Can you compare it to a Big big gundam? like psycho gundam or destroy gundam
If you are going to do a comparison, see what the HG fixed since they are kinda the same except for scale.
The Re line is a decade old!? o_O
My boi needs to buy a real blacklight
I built one for Grandma. Its sitting in her living room.
Compare it with the Sazabi Ver ka!
