I loved this demo. You think of everything I need help with before I get to the question. Thank you so much.
Ahhh.. that's what we love to hear! We can anticipate those questions because we fully understand that we oftentimes have the same ones! :)
I liked learning the different techniques for the borders!
That's great, Melinda! Have you finished? How did it go?
Thank you for showing how to do color sort! I have a new Luminaire and am learning the bells and whistles as I’m going and this is one I never could figure out.
Another day of great tips! Thank you again for putting this all together! I am going to go back to these videos when I start my pillow. 😊
Great idea! Have you finished? If so, how did it go?
Kimberbell really thinks of everything. so creative and fantastic. thank you girlfriends - I love my new Solaris!
WAHOOOOO! Gotta love that beautiful Solaris!
I love the shortcuts
These videos are just so helpful. Thank you
I am new to embroidery. Thank you for the easy to follow instructions.
You are so welcome! And I'm glad to hear that you're getting into embroidery! It's such a fun hobby!
I learned so much about doing the borders!
Hooray! Not too scary, right?! :)
I liked learning about using to seam ripper after stitching out background. Thanks
Wonderful! :)
I used the camel gold to do the outer border, so you could really see the city outline.
I did not realize that borders in gray were direction
I’m actually gong to get a few projects done this year
YEEEES! Nothing feels better than completing!
When I loaded my 2x12 border with my 8x12 hoop it told me the hoop was too small. Same with the 2x14.
So I am doing block by block and my outer border strips are larger than the center nativity scene. Am I suppose to cut down the outer strips to measure the same as my center blocks. Won’t that make the 5 3/4” blocks shorter. How do I trim? Hope this makes sense. Thx
No worries! Just add on and trim. These borders will go past and there's plenty of room to square up. Best of luck!
Unfortunately the “day job” gets in the way of my sewing time. It also funds my sewing habit. I’m way behind on my Kimberbell/ME Time projects, but they’re all so fabulous I can’t not get them.
I completely understand Michele- I'm right there with ya! :)
Someone used faux fur for the camel. Is it easy to use and where can it be purchased?
Yes, you definitely could do that and it wouldn't be hard to use at all. Most of that can be purchased at a craft store such as Hobby Lobby or even Joanns. My recommendation would be to use a water-soluble topping on top of the fur while stitching it so as to not get the foot caught on the nap of the fur. Good luck!
I cannot find, in day 4 the print out for "Background Quilting Instructions"
Were you able to find those? They are found in the folder that is for "background quilting files" sold separately on kimberbell.com. Let me know if I can be of further help.
you two ;-)))
