Former DEI car wins Talladega 500, 2nd Place is the Number 3, literally a day after a Dale Jr Car also won followed by an Earnhardt driving the 3. Is this a sign?
Do people not understand racing? Larson clearly got loose from Chastain's push, who was being pushed hard by the #3, and Larson actually touched Jones and loosened him up causing the #5 to get into the #45 and the #43 going up the track as well. Jones was not trying to 'block'...he was trying to save the car. You can clearly see the car out of shape. Larson was also trying to save the car after the huge push by Chastain. He was either going to run over Jones, or push Busch to the outside. It's plate racing...and everyone is on edge the final lap. I feel for 23XI...they had a good race going, but I feel worse for Erik Jones, he almost put the #43 in VL after 270+ races without a win! EDIT: After watching from a different angle, I'm going to amend my comments about Jones blocking. It now looks like he may have moved to the right to block, but nearly lost the backend of the car and needed to gather it together or he was going to spin...this cost him the win. If we would have held it straight, he might have been able to hold off Chastain...even tho the #1 car had a great run going.

Because he didn't improve his position while below the line and I'm guessing he thought he was dodging or trying not to run over the 7 (still got him anyways but at least he tried) and it didn't change much for anyone else
That's what it looks like on camera, but Larson said he tried to make a move on the 43 and got into Kurt not realizing he was there, so not sure. Maybe a combination of the two.
@@kyleraymer5581 Yeah, I noticed that after Dennis brought it to my attention. The behind angle looked as though Larson just pulled up, but you can definitely see what you’re saying in the front view.

Yet other drivers won with rain shorted races and I don’t see you people saying anything about that!.. Michael Waltrip comes to mind.. This race was about the most boring race ever! Nobody could pass. The cars would get a run then stall out. The only action was cars spreading out and trying to avoid from crashing into each other. This new car is pathetic!
wow nascar sucks,always a big wreck at the end,why not at any of the other 60 lap races,and that 5 and 43 cars should be suspended,wrecking people because their car and skill is better than you is not racing its unsportsmanlike
