    I was asked to make a charcuterie board by a friend for her husbands bday… first times! I do a lot of cooking / baking so it’s not too far fetched that she would ask me to do a charcuterie board! I’ve been wanting to do one so here’s my opportunity! Did a lot of googling & found you… it made the difference & gave me the confidence to create my own board! Thanks for sharing your tips & techniques!

    I JUST found you this morning looking for ways to fold charcuterie and am so glad. Thank you! And, kismet that you posted a part 2 just now! After this, I'll be on the hunt for how the hell to actually transport my board for Thanksgiving ...

      I love big Styrofoam coolers! Thankfully its cold enough where I live, that it'll be safe in the car for awhile.

      As far as transporting a small charcuterie board after he has been prepared on the board, I have gone to my local grocery store to the bakery department and ask them to buy a rectangle cake container that they showcase the cakes in in the grocery store, the rectangle charcuterie board should fit white inside that Cake plate, which is plastic. You could wrap the board with plastic wrap several times before you put it in the rectangle cake plate and then transported to your destination. Another tip would be put some tape on each end of the plastic cake platter, this is always worked for me. And if you wrap your prepared charcuterie board several times with the plastic wrap, and then put it in the cake platter you can set it in the backseat of the car and even if it turned over the arrangement you made on your board will not be disturbed.

    I was wondering the best way to prepare ahead. I'm going to start prepping tonight but should I cover my board with plastic wrap? How soon will it dry out?
    My faves are the ribbon and the bouquet 😊

      Hi! I would recommend using an air tight container if you are going to prep two days in advance. I like to add a little piece of paper towel to my containers of cheese to help with any excess moisture.

    When you make a rose out of lunch meat, how does one break into it without feeling bad or destroying the whole thing?

    • @figbleucharcuterie9916
      @figbleucharcuterie9916  6 месяцев назад

      HAHA I hear that so much! You just have to go for it! Also, maybe offer both the rose (mostly for display) and an easy to grab style!

  • @user-nj3im7rd1i
    @user-nj3im7rd1i 5 месяцев назад +1

    Do you leave the rose display in the 2 inch cup, or do you remove the cup?
    Thank you!

    • @figbleucharcuterie9916
      @figbleucharcuterie9916  5 месяцев назад

      I leave it. It will start to fall apart once the meat comes to room temp if there is no cup to hold it together.
