    For our family Christmas eve party I made 3 boards, 1 with mostly cheeses and fruits, 1 with meats, salami, and veg - tomatoes and cucumbers, crackers, pickles, the 3rd one a combo of the cheeses , meats, fruits, jams, olives mustards, honey, crackers. It was a hit, the family loved it, definitely the way to go, also served broccoli/cheese soup and veggi tray. Thank you for all the tips, i enjoy your videos because you go slow and are detailed with your tips and explanations. Best wishes and Happy New Year. 🎉

    Thank you for the good ideas. I did see someone use a little shot glass to make some rose petals so maybe it’s not so many pieces of salami to pick up. Great ideas. Thanks so much.!! I’m definitely gonna do a charcuterie board this weekend and I’m gonna do a lot of of the folding things so it’s maybe easier for them to pick up great ideas.!!!!

      As far as transporting a small charcuterie board after he has been prepared on the board, I have gone to my local grocery store to the bakery department and ask them to buy a rectangle cake container that they showcase the cakes in in the grocery store, the rectangle charcuterie board should fit white inside that Cake plate, which is plastic. You could wrap the board with plastic wrap several times before you put it in the rectangle cake plate and then transported to your destination. Another tip would be put some tape on each end of the plastic cake platter, this is always worked for me. And if you wrap your prepared charcuterie board several times with the plastic wrap, and then put it in the cake platter you can set it in the backseat of the car and even if it turned over the arrangement you made on your board will not be disturbed.

    I was asked to make a charcuterie board by a friend for her husbands bday… first times! I do a lot of cooking / baking so it’s not too far fetched that she would ask me to do a charcuterie board! I’ve been wanting to do one so here’s my opportunity! Did a lot of googling & found you… it made the difference & gave me the confidence to create my own board! Thanks for sharing your tips & techniques!

    I've got a question. Due to deadly allergies to pepper, & having pepper spices in the meats, I can only turkey, chicken, garlic sausage, ham, or other types of meat that doesn't have any pepper spices in it.
    Can you please show us one that doesn't have salami, or pepperoni, etc. that has no pepper spices in it. So no black, white, red, cayenne, paprika sage summer and winter savory, & poultry seasoning.

      I am very careful with my food handling and take it very seriously at my commercial kitchen. These are for presentation purposes only and to show the viewers how to do it. But thanks for your comment! We need the glove police like you on RUclips. Some people actually need to be told.

    • @figbleucharcuterie9916

      You seem to be so concerned with other peoples germs and how they do things, so I really hope you washed your toy before you gave it to you dog. I see it has it in its mouth and there could be a lot of germs on it from where ever it came from.

    • @Kate98755
      @Kate98755 27 дней назад +1

      @@figbleucharcuterie9916 my dog?…actually i do wash my dogs toys. we order her toys but still they get a rinse to take any product off the fabric….but every so often they get washed because they get dirty.
      Glove police? i understand your doing a demonstration, but some people are not knowledgeable about germs…they’re real btw. any packaging is usually filthy, stuff drops on the floor in the store, the items have been in a cart, which some kids stand in, plus all the other dirty products that have been in the cart, then the items go on a conveyer belt, or the dirty counter to be purchased….all those spots can have c-diff, e-coli, salmonella, lead from vegetable products.
      i see people put store packaging on wood cutting boards, and i imagine them not getting really clean before the next use.
      develop a thicker skin if you’re going to put out food content….and teach good food handling methods.

    • @figbleucharcuterie9916

      My videos are for entertainment and to show people that they can make food pretty at home. I am not handing out certifications to people on food handling. That is their health departments job. I get where are you are coming from, and am aware of the dangers of mishandled food. But people like you who comment stuff like this, are the reasons people need disclaimers on their videos. I am completely fine with people leaving comments like this on my videos. I am just going to give the same energy back. That's not necessarily me "needing a thicker skin" as you so suggested. But regardless, these comments help my channel, so I am happy!
