I agree with your takes Jack.
I like that the Pistons will share a "Mission Statement" that will unify all areas of the organization in one direction. Trajan seemed very meticulous in what his broad range plans include. I look forward to seeing the moves that will hopefully return our team to a level of winning.

Loving Langdon hire. All ya'll Detroit youtubers were ready and preached about how Ivey and Cade could not play together this core needed to be broken up. Never acknowledging the bad situation that these young guys were put in. Finally some in charge who actually sees the potential talent and wants to see the development through.

Its not a good core. LOL, finally some1 wants to see them through? You have inside scoop that Weaver didnt want to see them through?
Sounds like you are drinking the cool-aid sir. Its just word salad, and you bought into it. Weaver drafted those players and consistently said trust the process and every1 wanted results now. Mostly fans.

Personally disappointed to hear that they’re focused on using the cap to absorb “contracts” instead of players. Feel like we’re past the point of that being useful. We have our own draft capital besides the wacky Knicks thing, but that’s whatever. I guess if the long term vision is use the picks we receive to take those contracts on to flip for real players sooner than later, sure. But I don’t think you can sell me or this fan base on a 5 year plan at this point. Need to see a real step up sooner than later without compromising our future.

but, if we make moves to "improve" drastically, like BI or Lavine or someone else, win 30 or so games.. made a play in for a couple of years, and them overpay or lose all young core, lose cap flexibility and etc...
I know, it will sucks to be bad for one more year... but if its 24-29 wins, with the young core improving... and gathering assets... it will be better on the long term
