I have indian friends in Germany, not IIT students but still engineering students that are very sharp with their skills and possess immense knowledge. I have interesting conversations with them sometimes. Anyways I am not saying that every person coming out of India is smart and everyone coming out of Pakistan is an idiot but still saying IIT is a mediocre institution is like lying to your own self. So, as one fellow engineering student to another (I assume you are an engineering student) with me being not even remotely of the same calibur as you, take these kind of statements like a grain of salt. The world values IIT and thats all there is to it.

As a Pakistani, I believe that IIT is not a myth. I would love to pursue IIT, but it's incredibly challenging. Despite that, I still have a passion for it, even though IIT has no value in Pakistan or they are simply not pursuing it. I've seen people on the internet, especially on RUclips, who are so dedicated to IIT, and it's incredible how some of them manage to achieve it. Doing IIT is really tough and challenging, so I salute the people who are still making it happen.
I am an Indian, lekin uski kuch baat pta nahi kyu lekin sahi lagi , IITs/nits me branch ka bra issue hota hai, bahut se logo ko lower branches mil jaate hai, jinme uska koi interest nahi hota hai, but hote to hai toppers hi so kaam chal jaata hai, Lekin , yha relative marking ke kaaran bahut se avg students suc***e(.ide) kar lete hai (,2024 me abhi , I think 13+ ho chuka hai ,) kyunki uni me had se jayada comparative maahol hota hai, aur upar se particular branch me interest bhi nahi hota, 😢 Pakis university ka kya seen hai mujhe nahi pta
India has opened 20 more IIT ie 1 in each state. Further some states have started Super 30 concept where in 1 subject of Engineering in each district is selected and the standard is raised to the level of IIT and respective faculty members are trained at IIT .So that even s student in far off places get very high standards of Engineering Education

I have seen this interview full now. there are 14 lakh kids who appear for 20k seats in IIT. A average 10std student in India has more knowledge and acumen than masters guy from pakistan. There are close to 23 IIT now. When I was studying in 1990 there were only 5 IIT with total 1000 seats. BTW I am IIT IIM product.

As a Pakistani, I believe that IIT is not a myth. I would love to pursue IIT, but it's incredibly challenging. Despite that, I still have a passion for it, even though IIT has no value in Pakistan or they are simply not pursuing it. I've seen people on the internet, especially on RUclips, who are so dedicated to IIT, and it's incredible how some of them manage to achieve it.
